Its just one of those update that you know is necessary (Well certain people...) but is a little annoying visually. I love the update and been waiting many years. Its one of those ancient rants thats been around since before I was a newb. Jagex are doing a great job of crossing them out and making this game better. However it is just a little difficult to adjust to compared to most updates. In the future it will unlock alot of cool stuff that just wasnt technically possible before. Its just one of those updates people dont understand and if they truly dont understand then all they are rewarded is the ugly visual side of it. Because they are not used to it yet. Rants are to be expected tbh. Even more than usual I mean.

True. However personally its also true it remains a hobby and I would only be spending time playing something else. Aslongs as you do your homework or work it remains fun in a healthy way. I dont really enjoy other online games but like runescape due to the grinding somewhat. I like the fact I havnt beaten it yet. Call that pulling a lever but its a fun lever to pull for me. (Sounds wrong.) Compared to most other generic games I know I could beat within a week. Even online game seem similar so I am not attracted to them as they seem too similar to each other. I been gaming for so long that I dont enjoy the new stuff as its not as good as the older games. Its definately true it has a better reward system than most other things in life. However so do sports, boardgames, even books in a different kinda way. Etc. All other things I am addicted to? They sure all beat the A's I get on essays which involved alot more work and effort than grinding in a game. However flashy lights and the satisfaction is alot greater than the teacher giving me an A to be frank. Hell I dont even bother telling anyone besides family or close friends. Dont get me wrong. Good grades make me feel smart and it does feel good though. I do enjoy getting good grades I suppose but I certainly prefer the instant satisfaction from hobbies. Be it gaming or something else. Probably why they are called hobbies. In real life its true I dont get to choose what my essay is about. The thing I have to spend weeks writing isnt even my choice. Ingame I can choose what I want to do and work for. Real life I get to choose my career but not so much that I hate writing essays. Dont matter if its even something I enjoy. My brain doesnt enjoy writing since im dyslexic anyway.. (Personally - However I love reading books.)

I vaguely remember a video that involved axes? Dont think I liked that one. Greats to them though. (Despite what I think. :-P)

smelting gold works, dunno about superheating though, can anybody confirm? :P im pretty sure smelting gold doesnt work, im trianing smith with gold ore and after 2 hours decided to get the rocks by smithing iron bars to knifes. Got them both in 10 minutes... I having the same problem. I have collected every stone for my second statue except my smithing ones. I training that anyway besides for the stone so I decided to just train normally. (My first and second I gave up with gold and used a different method that worked. So thats an extra 500 gold I tried.) I using edge furnace, using the armour, gold gauntlets, full inventory, I done like 5k and no rock. ..However I heard and read that people do get the rock training like this.. *shrugs* I will continue for normal training as I got a whole week to get the smithing rocks anyway. Since I already was doing this I will just continue and see how it goes..

Rather than run the course over and over, I just went back and forth through the tunnel in Dorgesh-Kahn. Had both rocks in 5 minutes. (To add more info) However jumping low wall in brimhaven agility course first time got me the 1st rock in 1 minute. 2nd rock in 2 more minutes. Then! 3rd rock took 20 minutes and after another 30 minutes (50min) I gave up and did something else. Thats just low wall jumping... No freakin worth while xp in it and boring. I went to gnome course and eventually got it (Perhaps 5-10 mins?) but also got decent xp.. So its hard to say whats best atm. Probably single agility obstacles rather than courses but if your unlucky then you got very poor xp and wasting time for many many hours. The courses its unknown what gives the rocks or not atm. If its the last obstacle then.. Single obstacles would be better for pure rocks. Too random. Got to repeat this for every skilling skill each week. :ohnoes: Hopefully more info comes along for fastest options..If they exist. As another example.. First and second crafting I did under 100 gold rings. 3rd and 4th took over 1k gold rings And another example. Pick pocketing men/women took an hour for two rocks while the 3rd and 4th took me 5 minutes!!

Probably be an extra two pieces to be collected when thats released.. :rolleyes: Both weekly and poh statue. :razz:

Tbh im very thankyou its once a week. Its annoying to train on lower stuff or skills with with 20m+ or generally just anything over 99 :blink: Even with better items.. I working on my second statue now. Everyone will have the last pieces ready on the 30th run just waiting to add the to statue lol. However since its locked I have even more doubts the reward is worth while in any amazing way. In Jagex style for this type of thing. Some extra bonus for poh but then continues at the museum most likely. Theres nothing wrong or unusual about that. Just be realistic about it imo. Never know though... Its a good distraction but it shouldnt really make me have to train on low stuff for no xp or any particular gain for hundreds of those rocks. That would be severe. Once a week is just a distraction..

Yay. Update is really good. 990 hp! Wow its going to be confusing for me. Long overdue update that I never thought I would see. Very confusing after so many years though lol. Will be much better for gameplay. Might take a year playing to adapt to it.. + 2000 points for ice strykewyrms not too terrible =) Literally 10x better than expecting. Killing blow I not too sure what it means yet for gameplay. Besides being quicker. I guess.

Hahahaha! Maxed out idiot and over 1k days for other guy. This is entertaining punishment. The 2nd guy is the only one nearish my level and I can so laugh at his pain on seeing that many hours and ban. However there doesnt seem to be very many bans/semi's overall. Wonder how many of them are proud and wanted to go out with a 'bang' lol. Yeh right. :rolleyes: Year(s) ban is better than a total ban imo. Enough time to feel the pinch and probably come back a new person.

Ah I will somewhere. I have previously done a year picture. (Being the biggest.) I was going to do two years but I usually cash in if an update gives me motive to do so. There usually always an update that involves collecting the kingdom. Infact if I remember correctly one of them was for an achievement diary or something. >.< edit: I just looked it up. Not a year and a half unfortunately. I thought I did it in novemberish but apparently collected on new year last year. Over a year though =p I just write down the date in notepad each time and forget about collecting them. Kingdom collected - 3rd January 2009

Mmm its a good update an all but would of preferred it during free trade. Its going to be a huge annoyance buying anything for regular activity. They seem a little nieve on the effect it will have but its still worth while to do. I dont think its worth while doing herblore unless you already had the supplies. Its going to probably cost more once you get any of the supplies. Probably stick to the slow skills that dont matter if other people are training it No particular reason why anything will go cheaper than current prices afterwards. People will continue to train normally. Just more so during those hours. So I guess its depending on the nature of the skill. Some things will drop but others ganna just be more expensive. Be lots of fish and runes coming in but loads of herbs going out. Not enough to cover whats coming in even with slayer or even farming.. Need to remember to cash in my kingdom. Nearly 1 and half years worth haha. I didnt for the pot update as I wasnt around but this is even better. I think I will runecraft for the fun factor. Must be loads of others at the same time. Need to practice as I havnt trained that in years. Dont even need much ess since its only 10 hours...

I want my golden ticket!!!!!!!! I heard jagex secretly put them into sponsored chocolate bars. *Goes out and buys some wonka bars* Not that I will get a ticket but maybe I head in the opposite direction to an airport so I can fly to heathrow or whatever then travel back up to cambridge. Sure it would make the journey 10x longer but I hopefully get 1st class tickets for once. Havnt been on a plane in years. I hope they do a lottery for people to attempt.

Voting for the canoe one. I only liked two of them to win and felt that was the better one. However I think the 'Extreme Emotes' video was 10x than any of them and should won imo. There were a few others that didnt make the top 10 that I liked more than any of those.

Totally agree. There isnt much to worry about tbh. The majority of those with 93 slayer without a firecape wont have fast enough connections to avoid the tunnelling attack or eat food fast enough. Even non melee you take alot of damage if you dont have a decent connection or able to react in time. Standing next to a wall wont solve the problem either as their reflexes wont be fast enough to click them before they move away again.There only a couple of extra people who maybe just couldnt be bothered getting the cape who dont experience either of these issues. I feel disappointed jagex made this change but after thinking about it I realise they cannot survive against them for long anyway. It wont change the game much besides seeing a few gravestones during the task. If these problems are as bad as I have heard then its completely justified while not really effecting anyone else.

Disappointed. Its pretty likely the requirement points will be 200-300 by jagex standards. I just hope its nearer to 1k or even 2-3k points. I also think it should require slayer points AND tokel (wtf spelling) to unlock. As thats related to fire and the original requirement. I think a better idea is to keep unlocking the ability/chance to be assigned the task by using slayer points. (Plus tokel =p) Say 200 each time. I much prefer that idea than just unlocking the ability. Meh. Just hope it sets a reasonable unlocking requirement that isnt meant for level 40-50 level slayers who cant kill them anyway. If its 1k or under points I might just buy it for the hell of it..even though I got a cape. =/ I rather everything was unlocked. Its like finishing off a master diary or something. I am purely disappointed as I think it will be under 1k points. If its higher then I will be slightly less disappointed.

Think they should make the compromise the firemaking cape. That way those who people who cannot kill jad just have to make a million fires instead. Hopefully thats easier for them as a laggy connection shouldnt interfere getting 99 in that skill too badly. However..for the sake of killing those..thats a very difficult road to go down. Seriously I hope they dont make it something less than that. I dont mind the melee inferno adze just aslongs as it is melee required and cannot use a cannon either lol. I personally rather hit normal without others being able to get the task than hitting higher.. I mean seriously I can hit over 50's with a whip and magic is even higher. Becomes overkill. Perhaps very bad accuracy or something. Many 0's. The best idea I can think of is taking damage if you arnt wearing one. However feel free to gobble up food to kill them ontop of their freezing and digging attack thing etc.

OMFG I love this update! That new distraction thing is ganna save me tons of cash. I just got my reward. Those chickens and beefs will help me out tons. (The reward (edit: this time that is.) doesnt include the pouches or shards. I moved them aside while waiting to buy more pouches.) ..But seriously.. I would prefer even 500 shards compared to chickens and beefs >.< Apparently they worth nearly 100k though.. which surprises me..

Cant comment on the content yet as I in a middle of a slayer task but the rewards sound great for those training summoning. Personally I hope the random item reward thing is useful as I rather not get any more charms costing me more money. So I just hope I can get a decent odds and amount of free shards compared to charms. Otherwise this update just costs me.. cant deny its not a useful update for others though. Cant have them all.

Hello! I been working on smithing alot until lately with the new slayer update. I made a new mini goal to get a full slayer helm (Both pieces) and a staff of light. I have got both a staff of light and 5 focus sights however the hexcrest still alludes me. =( Aswell as that after completing nomads quest and a couple of hours of soul wars I managed to get an Abby pet! Also 97 Range recently!

I dont know when they changed their names but I only just noticed lol. Might been ages ago.
