  1. what operating system do you use MS-DOS Windows 3.11 Windows 98 Windows XP Media Center Windows XP Pro Windows Server 2003 (trial version) I'll get Linux in a few days... I've used most of the Windows OS, but I'll try something different.
  2. In a near future. I wouldn't be surprised if the next heat of conflicts will pop out over there. Israel has Blitzkrieg-ed other countries before in few hours. It's not wise to fight against that country in the Middle Eastern environment. Oh really? How many people actually voted in the election? 500? That's just an excuse to show off how "democratic" China is.
  3. For number 25, I think I recognized it... that blue background with that carriage. Around the World in 80 days. For number 15, V for Vendetta. That's about it.
  4. How can we rid the world of terrorism? First of all, you cannot get rid of terrorism in any ways. You must understand this question: What is terrorism? Terrorism is an act of terror. They are an abundance of violent and non-violet techniques of spreading terror that was done throughout the world's history. It was done in warfare, politics, in society, religion and other domains as well for all intentions. Second of all, the "world" of terrorism has been publicitied by the mainstream media since 9/11 by fingerpointing at the Middle East. Like I said in the third paragraph, terrorism has been done in other non islamic countries recently and a long time ago. {You may look for the FLQ bombing in Canada, the IRA, Yugoslavia, Japan, London, and many more acts of "terrorism." } The Middle East has always been a center of high tension through the entire history and the westerners have made it worse every year. There's no reason to finger point a nation or group of countries and people for act of terror since every society in the past history have done. Like I've said, terrorism is a technique. A technique is a skill that is meant to be used in specific way for one or multiple purposes. If this was a weapon, you'll need a protection to shield off against it. However technology improves the weapon to improve the weapons and the shield at the same time. At the end, the act of terrorism is still there. It's also why the act of spreading terror in this world will never be eradicated. Now I'm gonna answer all the off topic questions here... {It has nothing to do with terrorism at the first place.} if the globe was true worldwide communism, again there would be no need for terrorism, and there wouldn't be any extremist views in the first place. Wrong, terrorism will always happen. Political structures and view points doesn't solve anything. It's a question of freedom of speech and the power of one of multiple communities who has no power to express against the majority of the country's power. Communism isn't meant for equallity either, it's Marxism that is supposed to set up an equality with no government and classes. Communism is the botched up version of it and obviously failed in every ways. What is terrorism? It's when someone does something against america. So if I hate the United States' president is an act of terrorism. That's great. So what do we call the attacks against Lebanon? Syriaism? Another attack. You name it and that's the name of the attack. So terrorism is an attack against a state? I've done acts of terror against some people without using violence. I've never done one against a state. an attack against any country by any country. So the World Wars are acts of terrorism. Hmm... I'm not quite sure about that. EDIT: Nice, CE has the answer here:

  6. I thought they are conversion rules in marriage that isn't punishable by death in those countries. I remember about a certain order of religion that has to be followed in each different cases. Some other cultures will do the same if they found out that girl have lost its virginity before the arranged marriage. For the main point of the topic, this kind of marriage is still set up today in some cultures {since it has been maintained as a traditional moral rule and value.} Arguing about this would imply about their community and their social values as well.
  7. The 3d version looks crappy. Anyhow, Ragnarok is mostly a 2D MMO with Anime characters. Well, of course. It's better than mining coal {but it's pretty addictive.} This game is not suited for Japanese animation and cartoon haters. Player killing is always enabled. Some server allows you to fight in and outside town. That doesn't stop people cross-dressing. It indirectly allows same sex marriage.
  8. It's about a female assassin undergoing to a mission in a distant future. In that time, the government has quarantined and kidnapped civilians from a virus outbreak. The infected one became vampire-like super humans. One woman seek revenge to destroy that organization {she had to destroy a "weapon"}. Little by little, she finds out "what" that weapon is and why is "that" a weapon. Like I said, it's good for the action and visual effects. The rest isn't great. Some special effects have been botched off {I won't spoil it for the movie.} My personal overall rating would range from 6/10 to 7/10
  9. Describe the Avg. Person in Western Europe (1400-1700) I just need 3 things that i could build alot off of... Paticularly in a social economic or political category? Something i could throw in my thesis... Not to hard right... You should precise which country you're referring too as well. Not every European countries have the same economy, governmental structure and culture. In that time there's lots of historical fragments that evolved Europe toward the Industrial Age. The Inquisitions, Protestantism, Columbus, the Bloody Marry, and there's loads of topic you can choose within that period of time. If you only need to explain some vague historical things about Europe, then you can just focus vaguer aspects like society, religion, technology and the renaissance.
  10. It's an action movie with the same quality and directing style as Ultraviolet. If you want to see the action, you can watch this. However, the overall rating isn't good for that movie.

    Apocalypto

    In overall, the movie has the same directing and movie style from the Passion of the Christ. The story plot isn't not too bad nor too good. The special effects are nice, the climax is good and the acting is okay, but it's not the type of movie that you "have" to see. I would rate and rank that movie among the top 10 or 20s. I've already summarized the entire story plot (the capture and escape of that Mayan villager} at my first post without spoiling it.
  12. My Asian heritage answer is in here as well.

    Apocalypto

    Those prisoners were scared to death and could run for their lives for that long. That movie is just a short story of that "prophecy" and Jaguar Paw's lucky escape. There's nothing much spectacular in here.
  14. Dude, even Canada hates Quebec. It's more joke material then anything. Think about it: Quebec is a tiny little chunk of Canada. Right now they want to become their own country. LET THEM. All students now have to learn French in Canada, and it's only used in Quebec! I would rather learn German! Right now, Quebec hates even more the present federal government. Thanks to that idiot of Harper bringing up the sovereignty topic again, it screws up the country's unity again. Quebec justice system doesn't need to follow every single overall Canadian law since there's already another system with the current one {such as the bill 101 with the CEGEPs.}
  15. First of all, don't write in caps and don't beg for help without specifying in your title what your problem is. Second of all, Try another Antivirus, Adware and Spyware Scanner like AVG, SpyBot, and StopSign {the antivirus and its other component as well} to check your computer's condition. Norton won't likely to be helpful in that condition.
  16. No. Wait for the following arc instead. There's also an upcoming movie that might be worthy to watch instead of the filler. That's right. The fillers can be skipped and generally has nothing to do with the original story. It makes the animation uglier and too predictable in the majority of time. I get the manga download from Stoptazmo's website with the other Anime. I've relied on Dattebayo's torrent site to get the Episodes of Naruto and Bleach as well. But right now, you can wait until Januray to watch the new season by following the manga {at chapter 180s} for Bleach and Naruto. That's pretty biased. I'm not quite sure if you have seen all the animation and anime in the planet to give that rating.
  17. The second half of your poems doesn't have a fixed rhymming scheme. At the first look, the first stanzas gave me he structure you're about to use and play long wit the poem until the second part doesn't go well. At the same time, the meanning is not as strong with the frist half. You probably need to change, reword or fix the second half if you want to focus on your main theme. I quite agree your expression at the last lines aren't fixed {they're quite random.}

    Slogan help!

    What's wrong with being goth? :shock: Goths are being stereotyped for being violent, anti-social and marginal criminals. They have been more stereotyped due of shooter in black trench coat 2 months ago. That's why not everyone's looking forward of your "clan" of friends wearing black coat or following any similar trend.
  19. oh god...that's not the same as Runescape {I used to adverstise it legally, but my post was removed.} It's not newbie welcoming unless you join in a pretty good gang. Not all private servers in RO are decent. You should take a look at their forums and rates before you waste your time installing the wrong client.
  20. Yes we have. However, not every school system would close or open at this time. Right now, most of the schools or colleges have finished their term or semester. If there's an important snowfall, thunderstorm, or non-stop heavy rain, then there's likely to take consideration of canceling classes or the school day. In private schools and in some provinces, the administration won't allow to close the college unless there's an ice storm like weather (my old highschool only closed once due of that weather few years ago.)
  21. I just had freezing rain and it stopped. It's not likely to snow right now in Montreal, but the weather is quite screwed up {there had been a full week of clear sunny sky 17 degree Celsius and above then it starts cooling and raining.}
  22. Illegal immigrants came in the country "legally" will do the s*** job where no one likes to do (farming, plumbing, all the manual work.) If you truly kick out all the immigrants and illegal citizens, then no one will do those jobs and your country will be in deep trouble. That's the main reason for the US and Canada to turn a blind eye for those people. (Obviously, since you works against the law, you can pretend to work by the law and not to follow the law at the same time.) There are plenty of excuses to enter in the North America illegally such as: 1-Your native country will arrest, torture, executed you for treason, for religion, for opinion, for factor x that we don't want to care. 2-You want to get a better lifestyle and job but you're not allowed to travel. 3-You want to go to school or university in the States, but you're not allowed. 4-You want to join with your family legally and you already have all the necessary passports, but you look very suspicious (especially when you're name starts with Youssef, Mohammed, Saddam or Osama.) 5-You're a professional (doctor, professor, engineer) who wants to help out some university, reaserach center in North America, but your certification and diploma aren't legit. You have to work as a taxi driver. Well, the people and the government will not waste their time to check your status. If you look okay, then they will let you pass. That's all we care about them as long they don't bother us.

    helping others.

    I've could have done the similar thing. You can meet the family members to console your friend. There's nothing wrong in helping in general case. If there's some complicated matter between you and the family already, then it might not be suggested to do so.
  24. That depends what exam of what course you should study and remember. If it was a math exam (or any calculation with practical uses), you need to practice and write physically all the problems, calculations, theories, and techniques in order to get the formulas. If it was a history, biology, philosophy or any heavy theory courses, learn by heart word by word. You may try to find a way to relate every single detail in the course or find a way to rephrase all the information (for a example, make a conversation with the Spanish/English vocabulary in a highschool test. It takes less effort and you'll remember quickly.} If you need to read some book, reference, or any articles, you need to read and understand it. There's no way I can help this out. If you're talking about how to write an exam efficiently, then it's different. You can look at all the questions and the time you have and separate them equally depending how fast you answer your questions. Plan how much time you spend to answer the question you know {by answering them right away if you can.} Skip the ones you might take too long or you don't know. If it's a multiple choice, it's easier, use your guts and answer everything you can by using the technique I mentioned before. When you have extra time, you can review slowly your answers and the missing ones. Those are my basic tips for finishing the exam at the first 10 minutes of a 90 minutes exam.
