  1. [bleep]. I was hoping he would outlive Ozzy. :( I'm glad I made it to the last reunion tour. So live for today Tomorrow never comes Die young, young!
  2. Man I miss those days bro. Lotta good friends I miss. How have you been pilez?
  3. Food would be pretty dull.... (if there was no north or south america) Tomatoes, potatoes, chocolate, turkey, corn, and hundreds of other things wouldn't exist.
  4. People need to stop blaming the illegal immigrants themselves, and put more focus on the people who hire them. After all they wouldn't be coming here if there wasn't any jobs to be had. You cannot understand where some of these people are coming from. I think every one of us here, would do the same if it meant possibly making a better life for our families. Anyone who wouldn't try taking risks to provide for their family isn't right in the head. Even if you have to break some laws. Harsher punishments are needed for the people who get caught hiring them. That is the root of the whole problem. I'm Native American, with a Spanish last name. I'll be damned if I'm going to have people come up to me and ask me to prove my citizenship.
  5. I want a source on this. In my history college course, he ended up bringing a bunch of the natives back to England and called them Indians because he thought he landed in India. I don't think anything of that sort was mentioned during the lectures. His atrocities to the Native people were well documented in the journals of Columbus and of the various people he sailed with. He was also stripped of his governor title, arrested and sent back to Spain to stand trial to go to prison, but once there, the King freed him. His own men testified against him. He was known to chop off the hands of people, children included. He enslaved the tribes on those Islands he settled. Those people he took back to Europe, were enslaved and made to go. Most of them died on the voyage back to Europe. - wikipedia These are things people choose not to tell in history. People want to try and forget, or not criminalize a national hero. There is a movement amongst Native Americans and non-native supporters to actually abolish the Columbus day holiday and to bring light the atrocities he committed. http://www.transformcolumbusday.org/ If you want more details, you shouldn't have a hard time looking it up. Just don't rely on good ole American history books to dig up some dirt on a 'hero'.
  6. I don't see a problem with prenups, upon separating each person parts with what they entered the relationship with, but when you marry someone, and they end up becoming dependent on you, and you decide to split up, depending on how long you have been together, it would only make sense to somehow leave them with enough to at least start over with a new life. I think the problem is there are women (and men) out there who do plan on marrying someone simply for their money. Sure it's probably not that many, but the examples of things like that happening have already been put out there, so people who actually do have stuff to loose, kinda take notice of that. If you have any suspicions of trust prior to a marriage, your probably not in that strong of a relationship to begin with, but before any marriage I think a couple needs to take the time to talk about all the "what ifs" first. Once you split up, providing you don't have any children, the only money a person should get is a split in the assets they made while together, and possibly small monthly support payments until they can get back on their feet again. I don't like seeing people live the rest of their lives on lavish support payments. Too many men and women have been [bleep]ed over by divorce court, and a lot of good people end up having to support their ex's, even if the breakup wasn't the providers fault. People can say bringing up the idea of a prenup is insulting, but if your relationship is really strong from the start, talking about such things shouldn't be much trouble. You always have to plan ahead, it's kind of stupid not to.
  7. When Columbus came, he raped, butchered, and murdered our men women and children. (yet the history books make him out to be a hero) Let's just hope the Aliens don't do the same thing.
  8. Geeze...no one's mentioned Undead yet. Crazy austrailian zombie flick I fell in love with. Especially the scene where the dude is fishing and the zombie fish start attacking him. Classic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hL6H-OEXF6Y
  9. Meili has some I am sure. Try pming her.
  10. pumpkins are pretty rare not many of us with em, and we ain't selling really lol Eggs are pretty common though.
  11. yea it's illegal to set traps with intentions of catching a person. You can't even legally set traps inside your house in-case of burglars. Seen one guy who was paranoid about someone breaking in his house, so he put some kinda crossbow set up in his window, then when a person actually died trying to break into his house, the home owner ended up going to prison for murder. I would just park the car somewhere near the house if you can, with those floodlights that have motion sensors on them, because they are probably less likely to sit and siphon gas with a spot light on them. I'm sure they have some of those motion sensors too that have sounds/alarms. I would get the neighbors all alert to it, and eventually one decent encounter while catching them in the act will probably convince them to find a new area to go to.
  12. I am a product of the early 80's too. Cartoons like Heman and Ducktales..... lol Teddy Ruxpin and nightbright! and of course....the Metal bands :D
  13. There is just a lack of respect in the world. Especially between people of different faiths and cultures. It's unfortunate, but nothing can really be done about it. Everyone in the world cannot get along, and some people actually go to the next step to intentionally try to stir things up. In his own country he has the right to do that, no matter how disrespectful it is. Now he is getting more famous and more and more people are getting to see his work because of all the negative attention that was put on him. If no one would have made a big deal about it, it would have just been another stupid comic lost with the rest of them. Now more and more people will probably do such things in the future. I feel bad for you Muslims, because you guys always get portrayed as the crazy evil ones. Ever since the crusades. Everyone in the western world thinks Muslims are the militant-violent people, but Christianity has much more violence within itself and it's history. You guys have been under constant attack for the past 2000 years, and any attempts at defending yourself, you get portrayed as being evil. I don't blame all the extremism that is popping out of certain areas. When you grow up around war, and your people have been under constant threat and attack for generation after generation, of course people are going to turn doing things they normally wouldn't. People can't just respect each others beliefs.
  14. ^ Yea there are a lot of gay Christians, as there is in every religion, be it accepted or not by the faith itself. I'm rather glad that more are coming out and and confronting it, as there are many gay Christian churches in America now popping up all over the place. But there have been marriage ceremonies throughout the world for thousands of years, long before those three religions gained dominance in the religious world. So to say that marriage is only between a man and a woman because the bible says homosexuality is wrong, would be to say all those other groups who have had weddings before the bible even existed, would not be true marriages, even though those cultures believe so. I'm Native American. We accepted homosexuality in our cultures. So same sex marriage is nothing new to this country. We have been having them for thousands of years, and just because we have cultures and religions that differ a little bit in beliefs, does not make our marriage ceremonies any less valid than the Christian ones, or any other religion or culture. and to everyone else who says we should just accept civil unions and shut up, well to just accept something, is like the government just saying "here this is good enough for you". People don't want to just be good enough, they want to be equal in every way, regardless of what their religious beliefs are. There are gay Christians, and maybe they do want a church wedding, and as long as there are churches and ministers ready to allow and accept that, as is the case, then they have every right to be married in the way of their beliefs. The definition of marriage itself, can vary person to person all it wants. But where I see the problem, is the government trying to actually back one group of people's definition of it, over another. We don't need our government to say "marriage is only between a man and a woman, because so and so, believe so".
  15. But church recognized marriages is where a lot of the benefits come from... I'm not too sure about that one, a courthouse wedding seems just as valid as a church one. I don't think there is any specific benefits, not major ones anyways, that are for weddings that have specifically went through the church. Even if you get married through a church, that marriage still isn't valid (legally) until you get the marriage license from the government.
  16. They're not trying to force any church to marry same sex couples. That is a choice the government cannot make for anyone. A preacher or church can turn down any couple they don't want to marry for any reason. Legalizing same sex marriage isn't about trying to force a religion to accept something they don't want to, its about getting the government to recognize it, not the church. You don't even need the 'church' to get married these days. Christianity does not own the concept of marriage. You say why should the government be able to force something on people they don't want to accept? But by banning same sex marriage your doing the exact same thing, because like I said before, some churches and religious groups do support same sex marriage, and by banning it, your infringing on their beliefs as well. Which is why the government should either recognize no marriages, or accept them all.
  17. But there are religions that accept homosexuality and same sex marriage. Just because a few of the more popular religions today don't really accept it doesn't mean they get to own the definition. The concept of Marriage predates Christianity.
  18. So what if a woman or man was unable to have children, as in the case of thousands of people, does that mean since they cannot have children and start a family, that they too should not be able to get married? I think the point of any serious relationship is to take care of your partner, which is why same sex couples want equal rights as well. To say same sex couples cannot start families is absurd. Homosexuals and Lesbians are still perfectly capable of having children, obviously not with their partner, but many gay and lesbians do have biological children, and many more adopt. Adoption is a whole nother debate, it's legal in many places, more than gay marriage is.
  19. What I want to know is why does the definition of marriage itself, have to belong to Christian/Islam/Judaic teachings? Marriage ceremonies are pretty universal in every single culture and existed long before any Christian, Islam, or Judaism beliefs. Even here in America, us Native Americans accepted same sex couples and marriages, we had weddings ceremonies for all couples no matter what the genders. So when our government backs up that statement about it only being between a man and a woman, your applying specific religious beliefs/traditions to the definition, and trying to pass laws in a country where the church and state are supposed to be separate. If someone truly loves someone, they should have every right to be legally recognized as a couple like anyone else. Marriage should have nothing to do with government period, but unfortunately it does nowadays. Gay marriage will be legal eventually. It's just a matter of time. Slaves were freed, us Natives got our rights back to practice our culture, women got the right to vote....and gays will get to marry legally.

  21. You listen to any Samael? Yea some of the early stuff, I was never overly crazy about them though. The newer stuff is just kinda strange, same with Behemoth, how they started black and crossed over into death and modern stuff. Just like anyone else though, certain bands just grab your ear, and what some people say is great, you may not like, vice versa. I try to stay away from all the wannabe elitist crap that has been going around in the metal scene. Everyone trying to prove how metal they are, or only listening to bands so stupid that there's a reason no one's ever heard of them before. lol I got lucky and had uncles that really got into metal and had huge record collections and was able to get exposed to a lot of stuff when I was a kid. I just recently got a USB turntable, so I'm going to work on ripping a lot of these old vinyls and putting them online, I just need to learn how to adjust all the audio levels and such with the programs to make em sound decent. If I had to make a quick list of my fav bands off the top of my head, probably would be like, Bathory, Celtic Frost, Venom, Burzum, Slayer, Satan, Rigor Mortis, Darkthrone, Sodom, Death, Hellhammer...then the rest of those second wave bands like emperor, marduk, immortal, satyricon, Dawn, lord belial...and others. Black metal wise, the most recent album I got that I actually really liked was the new Gorgoroth, because they finally kicked those dummies out of the band who tried to take over, and got more of the original members back. I'm hoping the new Burzum album next month is gonna be good. not going to get my hopes up too high though, all those years in prison talking about how he was going to break away from the metal scene...I may end up disappointed, then again someone cut away from regular music for that long might just make something truly good without the influences of all this modern crap. Was terribly disappointed in the new Immortal album. Such a piece of [cabbage] (in my opinion), from such a legendary band. Here's a couple nice old heavy metal vinyl rips I found off youtube...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PMliFlRp0Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5WzbHak02A http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74Nei5Axde4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlbiQZXgCig
  22. Metal can never really be what it used to be like in the late 80's and early 90's. I'm not too much into the newer meal scene. Old 80's metal, and early 90's black metal is pretty much all I get into. There is a few bands out there trying to bring back that oldschool sound, kinda like these guys, more of the NWOBH stuff..... but all genres of old metal are still around if you look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFdJ3XAPmSw Though there's soo many unheard of killer 80's metal bands out there, and thanks to sites like youtube, everyday you can sit and find [cabbage] from back then that you've never heard before, so its like finding new bands anyways, eliminating the need to get into any of the new stuff.
  23. I wasn't saying that Caucasian Americans should be treated like immigrants, I was saying that its funny to down talk immigration when your family did the same thing in the recent past, especially when your trying to stop immigration from people who have been here already for thousands of years.
  24. I see a lot of racism involved in the anti-immigration movements. Of course not everyone is racist, you can be any nationality and be a immigrant, but most of the time there is a lot of anger and hatred when it comes to such issues and I think a lot of people say things they don't really mean when they are at a boiling point, and it's easy to confuse anti-immigration viewpoints with racism, but a lot of the time these movements get subconsciously racist in part. People start to hate the immigrants themselves, and who they are and where they came from, rather than the systems set up allowing them to come and settle. I can understand it in some situations, like Sweden. The Swedes are the native people there, and its kind of messed up when your jobs are being displaced from people of other countries. But there is no need to put hate towards the immigrants, they are coming from situations that most of us can never imagine and they are just doing whatever they can to get out of where they are coming from, and it's the government that keeps allowing them to come and giving them assistance. In America here there is a large anti-immigration movement along the boarder in Mexico. This one I laugh at because you get white people standing down there telling Mexicans to "go home", when Mexicans are Indigenous people to those lands. America today, was founded by immigration and I don't think its fair to talk down immigration when all of your relatives were immigrants. My people, Native Americans, sadly didn't have much of a say when it came to the occupation and immigration of our lands by the Europeans and later on American settlers. I'm sure the Aboriginals of Australia went through the same thing my people did.
