Teen boys hit home run with topless next-door neighbor
I just looked at his answer which was this: Randomly saying "oh that's bullcrap" isn't anything beyond an opinion. Someone needs to explain why they think it is a bullcrap answer.

Teen boys hit home run with topless next-door neighbor
So Flametrooper, would you let your teen daughters put suntan lotion on a single 30 year old male neighbor's back when he asked them to if their Frisbee went in his yard when he was sunbathing?

having the next three days no sleep......
My father snores horribly and I had to share a hotel room with him on a trip once. I ended up stuffing toilet paper into my ears and then wrapping a towel around my head... I got to sleep... If you can't get earplugs you can twist toilet paper into your ears. Just make sure you only have about 1/3 of it inside your ear so you can get it out easy.

Minneapolis Bridge Collapse
Wow Tigra. I'm glad you are ok. Near death experiences always do have a way of making us re-examine ourselves. I've almost died a few times as well. So what exactly was it like watching it collapse? My guess is it is all probably a blur but if you remember any specifics I would be interested to hear them.

Help, I'm going into middle school.
Don't no life. Probably the most important thing you can learn in school is how to relate with other people. Relating with others is probably the most important business skill you will ever get. Also choose your friends wisely. You become like the people you hang out with over time. If you don't want to be like certain qualities in the people you are around then don't get so close to them and find some other friends you can be closer with that you like and respect. If a bunch of people are being total idiots doing stuff you don't want to do like drugs or breaking stuff then ditch them and don't hang out with them. Be true to who you are and don't change for peer pressure. One thing that helped me was I was the nerdiest of the nerds in Elementary school. I used to read 200 pages a day back then and not play any sports. I got picked on like crazy. In Junior High(7-9th grades) I started playing football(American) and track. It was really tough for the first two years because I had to build up my muscles, never got in games and I would get pummeled in practice and come home with massive bruises since I didn't know how to take or give a hit. I almost quit because I got so frustrated but I stuck it out for my 9th grade year and ended up starting both ways. If you take the sports route it will be tough at first but just work harder than everyone else and you will improve. You will also gain people's respect which is the most important thing you can get from them. One other thing I had to do is make a few bullies respect me. I had to get in some fights with some guys that wouldn't quit messing with me to get them to back off. Usually I would say don't fight at school but there comes a time when you have to. One of my fights was in 8th grade and this guy had been messing with me all year and he walked past my table and slapped me really hard in the back of the head. I got up and defended myself and that put an end to that. A great skill to learn is how to take a cutdown someone throws at you and make a joke out of it and shoot it back there way. That can actually give you the upper hand in situations without having to fight. I didn't learn that skill until high school. It doesn't always work but it sure can help. As to the school part don't worry because school didn't get hard until college and even then it's only hard if you major in a reasonably difficult degree. I majored in engineering so at times it kicked my rear.

Father vs Mother
Balance is important in a family. I think it is impossible to say Mothers or Fathers are more important because in my opinion I think they are both critical in bringing up a healthy child. At different times in a child's life one may be more critical than another but overall most children need both of them to turn out well rounded. Divorce sux.

Everyone has their price
I would contact the FBI or CIA and be the inside man to help them stage a sting on the terrorists and capture them(and hopefully execute them after they interrogated them). Knowing I helped save 1000 people that are out there alive instead of blown to bits would be enough reward for a lifetime. Imagine the incredible satisfaction you would get from helping that many people. If you have 25 million it can be blown in a few years (remember MC Hammer?). You can be a billionaire and be a depressed miserable person (Howard Hughes), but if you help a thousand people that is something to feel good about until the day you die. Money is merely a means to an end in life. In the grand scheme of things it is pointless. All money does is give you options you might not have had otherwise. It does not bring happiness. For everyone that said they would take money... After suffering from intense guilt your entire life how much would you pay to have that guilt taken away? I bet most of you would give all the money back if you could to undo your choice once that horrible guilt set in.

The world, bush and the mass American media.
I don't have time to dig up sources right now since I am packing for a trip but that first post has many statements that are flat out not true. Like this one... If you are referring to the dot com bust that was already kicking in at the end of Clinton's term and it was a normal economic cycle due to people making very stupid investment decisions and driving the P/e's of stocks to insane levels. Or this one... Wow... propaganda for the win! If I was polled on if I was happy with the President right now I would say no because on several big issues I feel he has let down his voter base and strayed from the principles that they voted him into office on. To go to the extreme you are going comparing him to the Nazi's and blaming everything wrong in the world on him is ridiculous.

Wish Me Luck! *gulp*
Good luck. Don't try to lose too much too fast. If you can lose a pound a week then you are doing great. Get a workout buddy if you can. I am absolutely worthless in keeping a regular exercising schedule if I don't have a friend to work out with so we can keep each other accountable.

need some people to help me brainstorm! PICS ADDED
Yeah I agree. As long as he could have kept it pointing straight down the hill I don't think it would have been a problem. I wouldn't want to be sideways on that hill though... that could get really ugly really fast. I guess the iffy part would be if the car did something funny when he hopped the other front wheel over the curb since it was only on three wheels at the time. I've been offroading before where we were on three wheels on the side of a mountain in a really light 4WD and I was having to hang my entire body out the other side of the vehicle to keep it from flipping. It was a friend of mine driving in a really rocky rugged mountainous desert... he had some serious skills. There is no way I would have tried some of the stuff we went over if I was driving. You would be surprised at what a skilled driver can get over in a car. On a side note how's the getting in shape going Wakka?

So I'm curious, could you not just put it in drive and run over a few shrubs to get to the street?

Favorite Amusement Park/Roller Coaster? [Pictures!]
The lines in six Flags Atlanta are always too long when I go there. I waited three or four hours to ride Batman for thirty seconds. My favorite ride is probably Alpenguise (sp?) at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg Virginia. Second favorite is Mamba or something like that with an African name at Busch Gardens in Tampa.

deadly swimming pools!?
When I was a little kid we lived two houses from the local community pool. We were there one day and had just gotten out of the kiddie pool and this exact same thing happened to a little girl. I was only about 3 at the time so I don't really remember it but my mom said she had been sitting on the drain in the middle of the baby pool and it created a suction on her and ripped her insides out. Horrible horrible stuff...

"God hates fags"
What Church believes that? Also is that what you think they believe or do you know it as a 100% fact? Just wondering since I have never heard this in my life from any of the denominations I have visited or have knowledge of. Just struck me as sorta odd since that statement counters Jesus coming to Earth in the first place as well as counters a good bit of what he said on this Earth while he was here.

"God hates fags"
If a Christian believes what the Bible says then if they are trying to convert someone it's only because they care about that person. I mean yeah some people probably do it for a personal ego boost but for someone that is doing it because they genuinely care for the person they are talking with then why is that such a bad thing? They just know it was good for their life and they want to spread the love around...

"God hates fags"
Hehe... nice response. It had me laughing out loud *grins* One miscalculation though in it... A glorious atheist eh? Divine is a supernatural term so that means you believe in a deity which means you can't be an atheist. I win I win! muhahhaaha *evil laugh*

"God hates fags"
Don't ya mean you want them to question it until the day they die? :P

Capital Punishment
Reb, I haven't kept up with all of this thread so I don't know what others said but I completely agree with you that torture should play no part in the legal system. Statistics? Most of the murder in my city is gang violence which is premeditated. Taking drugs (which is illegal anyways) is that person's choice and a person must face the consequences for their actions. Emotions can be controlled. A person makes the choice whether or not to follow their mad passions.
-
Capital Punishment
Just because you can't comprehend how the death penalty can be in place without "sadistic tortuous revengeful passions" being involved doesn't mean many many other people don't just see it merely as justice being served. To me the criminal is the one that is at fault in their execution and not society because the criminal made that choice when they performed an act they knew had the consequence of them being put to death. It was their choice. Your anger should be at them, not at society.

Capital Punishment
What if the majority of the society still believe it should be kept lawful which is the case where I live?
