Since I have a fairly unlimited knowledge about the DW in runescape ... How exactly should I calculate the average dps of a weapon/weapon combination ? For example the Godswords have 1713 damage and 1 attack per 6 ticks, making the damage per tick 285.5. I want to calculate the damage per tick for the combo of Vine Whip + EEE which is 720+428 and an attack every 4 ticks. Now the question is should I find the average of 720 and 428 (574) or use them as a sum (1148) in order to find the damage per tick (143.5 and 287 respectively).

How exactly do you calculate the average damage ?

Do staves like the Staff of Light still have a damage boost ? (15% or so)

Considering that right now I am slaying ... I prefer my full slayer helmet.

Don't you need 5 fire runes per cast for the Polypore strike ? (15k runes to charge the staff for 3 strikes) which makes the total cost for a strike 90+ ?

My advice - drop the game for a while. I stopped it for about a year and I started again 2 days ago. Honestly I'm having a lot of fun.

Well most of the bolt-weak monsters fight with magic anyways, so 1-2 squares away from them is the same as 7-8

I just wonder if the weak-to-fire (if there are any) monsters would be weak-to-salamander

Is it me or the black salamander sounds like an awfully good weapon. 700 accuracy; and a total of 1599 damage with the tar The dragon 2h is 600 accuracy and 1275 damage if you use runite bolts (or broad for that matter)

Does it still have the same effect ... because +40 damage seems kind of ... useless now

Which one will have more dps under momentum - the Dragon 2H or the Arma crossbow ?

I haven't played for almost an year but this update might persuade me to come back for 2-3 months. It'll pretty much feel like a new game and we all know exploration is the best part of any game (in this case - combat exploration)

I think you're misreading the post? Unless you're 350k away from each of those 99s. It's 350k exp at the end of August, then 700k exp at the end of September if you were subscribed the whole time. The only "every day" things are the 2 extra spins. It's kind of has a double meaning 1. Be a member through all of August and receive 350,000 XP (once) and an "extra bonus spin every day" 2. Be a member through all of August and receive "350,000 XP and an extra bonus spin every" day I'd formulate it "an extra bonus spin every day and 350k exp at the end of the month"

Not necessarily, your logic is too straightforward. Sometimes you can make much more money by pricing things lower and selling them in much larger quantities, companies like walmart operate using this strategy very successfully. Not to mention that being a virtual item, the production cost is 0. How many more people would buy the assassin outfit were it priced more reasonably? 5x, 10x? I actually think that Jagex is losing money by pricing it so high. Although apart from the assassin outfit, the other items seem to be correctly priced. Just look at Steam. They are selling with 75% discount but they are making 400% profit at the same time. (this means the are selling 16+x the copies they were selling without the discount).

Soooo it seems that the skin of the forum is changed and not that I hate it but ... well yeah I really really REALLY hate it. I couldn't find a skin option in the settings ... is there actually a way to bring back the old skin or I'll just have to start ignoring my urge to visit the forum.

It's impossible to make that claim. If I was a new player at the momment I saw the graphics I would just close the runescape tab.
