  1. 1) Christmas - Always loved this holidays, feeling a bit more festive this year. Outranks my birthday because everybody is/should be feeling awesome, rather than me feeling worried I'm exploiting people too much. 2) New Years Eve/New years Countdown - Always loved watching the clock go down, and the idea of staying up for the new year, and then going over and watching the fireworks at Sydney Harbour is pretty awesome. Should try to go down there maybe this year. 3) Birthday - The whole progressing further up the ladder still seems pretty cool at my age, + It's free stuff and cake. Delicious cake. 4) Easter - It's free chocolate for me, and that is awesome. Dammit, running out of Holidays 5) Halloween - My mum insists on giving the trick or treaters candy. Given the fact that we get 3 trick or treaters at best per year, means I have extra candy in the aftermath. 6) Guy Fawkes day (5th of November) - It's different seeing everyone spouting the same old poetry rather than [bleep] jokes. Bit of a stretch here but I do not care. 7) 16 August - When the Beatles final line up formed (Excellent band) 8) 18 June - Paul McCartneys Birthday (He is an excellent person with an excellent voice) 9) 25 February - George Harrison's Birthday (See above) 10) 7 July - Ringo Starr's birthday (He is a pretty cool guy, peace and love.) Sorry for the not holidays but its all I could think of :P
  2. He asked for it to fade from light to black... I still have the original- Oh, and here's my progress as of late. Frank_ragnar... I'm sorry, but I don't usually do banners. They take WAY too much time. Silly customers ruining yer pixels. Also with the latest one, if theres gonna be something in the foreground taking the focus, I'd make the darker sections in the grass lighter, it's just too busy and distracting at the moment. If not, I'd still consider it, it all depends on your focal point, which I doubt would be a slab of grass.
  3. Just a quick question Uno. Why would you ruin the city pixel with the filter :( It looked good before :(
  4. Probably the best attempt at typography I've seen on this forum. All the one's i've seen, Like Littleboys for example, were terrible. It just had random text, vertical text for god knows whatever reason, and it wasn't funny/effective. This however actually is more creative and I love how it turned out. I agree with Thru a bit, I'd try to build more of the body, but not making it too busy. Also, some of the text is blurry as I'm sure has been mentioned.
  5. There you kids go with the discussion value. Quit playing Forum Police with yourself and lighten up. You either let it all or you don't let it at all. The amount of times a random/funny picture thread has started and failed are astronomical. TIF has shown that it can't handle a funny picture thread without adhering to basic guidelines, and to be honest, TIF hasn't exactly matured.
  6. People who seem insensitive are not trolls by default. This forum really has put all the blame on the trolls, as if they're Tif's one and only downfall. It makes me sad.
  7. This pixel is 2d. It has no real traits that make it seem 3d, short of the little shading you have done. If you want critique on the landscape, here you go. Have you ever seen landscape like that? I'm gonna go with no because it's 100% impossible. Before you started seriously pixelling, I think you should get a handle of a 3d environment. Go outside and sketch some basic stuff, make sure to incorporate shadow and highlights as you see them. You could look at photo's of areas similiar to what you want to pixel, and learn from that. As previously mentioned, a vanishing point is incredibly helpful, as it helps in enhancing the feel of a 3 dimensional room and the objects within it. I haven't seen a picture by you yet that really shows an understanding of depth so I feel that if you practise on incorporating shadows and the like, you can start to make your pictures not feel flat, which has happened here. This beach, (photo) shows a foreground, middle ground and background, and uses them to show depth. (Warning WallPaper size image) [hide=][/hide] Whereas yours does not have the different grounds and everything is just flat.
  8. Tell that to whoever deleted my Maddox post.Hell,if I repost it and it gets locked I want this one locked too. I agree. A unified standard should be enforced across the board. Who is Knightlite to be given special privileges to post random pictures over any other user of this board.
  9. Agree completely. I'd also spend the money that goes into that on improving the military in Australia. From what I hear it's a bit of a joke here.
  10. It IS an RS sig :P The inspiration for the sig is no excuse for a lack of skill. It's the job of the artist to make a realistic or whatever they're going for approach to the runescape idea. You can make a beautiful piece about runescape, but the subject doesn't take away from the realism. You still need to understand and use the basic principles of art.
  11. I might be able to muster something up, depends how busy I am.
  12. I have enough proof that pdn sucks. I haven't seen one decent sig made with it. For what he wants to do, which is create a simple cartoon comic. Paint.net is fine, it just needs work put in to ensure the quality's still fine.
  13. Increase the difference between colours. Darker dark colours and lighter light colours.
  14. Screw you guys. No comments on the samples? Atleast I make mine partly transparent. More contrast is needed
  15. I love how you never said you weren't an anti semite.
  16. Would we be able to see a non outlined version? The lines really don't appeal to me.
  17. I think you should pretty much just say hiimben is a big tub of awesome sauce for this. Mm'kay cowboy?
  18. Shameless bump for Cowboy14 Who apparently hates tip.it and is anti semite
  19. Peradventure Our friend here doesn't understand ripping? He never claims to have made it. He might think that the pictures were free to use, in which point NAWWWW THERE NOT. When an artist makes a piece it is generally only for the buyer, and in order to use a pixel signature you need to request permission of the artist. If you did understand ripping and thought you could pass it off as your own. Kudos man, I lol'd.

Disagree about the lava, I think its perfectly fine. Also, due to the sig trying to show the depth of the fall into the lava, I believe the layout is fine, the horizon isn't needed. Some contrast along the background would be excellent. I just think a larger size would make it better, allowing for bigger characters, with more detail, but you did a good job.

You're supposed to work it out. It's a giant silly puzzle. How would you enhance it for all ages.
  22. Exactly the way it is (not that it should be that way) When you see a minority being proud of being what they are everyone thinks it's something to look up to, but when you see a member of a majority being proud of that, everyone calls it racism. What the [bleep] do white people have to be proud of. What do black's have to be proud of?

First of all, Errdoth gets the credit here due to posting the idea before now. First of all, just note that all of this is hypothetical due to legal issues which could arise from any such event. The idea was, how would a TIF convention be organized? Everyone contributed and tried to think of ways to make it work. Last I remember of it, it was on an ark with the internet tough guys enforcing rules with shotguns, *coughdeloria*. But before it all turned into silly nonsense, there were decent ideas on how it would be organized, how people would be invited, and all that jazz. So here is the new topic. If it was announced that a Tif Convention would take place, and you were asked to help organize, what would you suggest? Keep in mind - - Geographical Constraints: We are not all American - Financial Constraints: We are not all loaded - Accomodation Issues: Most of us require sleep - Security Issues: Most of us value our well being... Most of us :( - Entertainment Requirements: A bunch of Tifers standing round chatting, due to the demographic of TIF wouldn't go too well. - Whether it would be Runescape only or Non Scapers equally involved and how you would incorporate that. Think of areas it could be held, places that are most efficient. Anything that goes with a convention. Pretty much free range, don't break the rules, don't use memes and no glass eating, its silly.
  24. Dont think so, just regular Aussie fancy rats. Or if you literally meant small chinese descendants....you sly dog :P
