  1. This is what people wanted, was it not? I believe you and half this forum said "I believe weapons are to powerful now and 1-2 hitting someone has taken away from the PvP gameplay" Now people got what they wanted. If someone wants to risk using claws/GS, they are going to RISK them. PvP will no longer be full of weapons that 1-2 hit your opponent. It will now be about tactics and skill. Like Muggi said: It will all be welfare gear, which is the way PVP SHOULD be. Larger reward for cheap equipment used. And if someone wants to use an expensive item, all the power to them, but its finally a RISK. IDC if it fixes 26k or not. This FIXES the overpowered weapons issue in PvP. OMG THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. impressive bank, if you solo merched 10/10. if not 6/10 as for the 18 months, you have put in more work that I have in over 8 years, and I don't know whether or not to congratulate you on that :|
  3. Congrats! 500k+ an hour is beastly. have fun staring at the login screen while mining :D
  4. Only one achievement i could see from a title like that, and you've got it. Congrats!
  5. Very nice! Chatted with you in edgeville while wearing the cape, had no idea it was so new. 10/10 from a fellow miner class. Gl on whats next
  6. in a word, no. I use the ge for everything except ores as i like mining and rely on MH'ing for cash
  7. just to fill everyone in he did say something about April fools day in his title, tipit changed the words to mudkips win in spirit of the holiday
  8. good to see you chucking levels out still. farming is great  its all I've been doing lately with my schedule allowing me to put about 30 minutes in per day which actually works out great for the skill keep up the work bro, and drop me a pm sometime
  9. some nice 99's you've got there  and that amount of cash was pretty good a couple years ago. 7/10 I look forward to seeing some achievements from you now that your back to rs :
  10. I have both :) and bunny ears never leave my head unless I'm in combat. I also have a pure with ears but no scythe
  11. This is the best advice anyone can give. As someone who has played since march '01 I can say that you will find almost nothing of the runescape you remember. If for some reason you do not heed my advice, the new minigames are fun, but do little to better your account. slayer and summoning is all anyone does anymore so if you enjoy those skills you might find a place for yourself again in runescape, but i can also vouch for slayer being very boring at maxed combat. I'd say get your month of membership and test out the waters, but I wouldn't be too surprised if you just don't like playing anymore.
  12. Woah nice achievement you've got there! Congrats Construction and herblaw are expensive skills to master, what do you use to pay for those skills? 10/10
  13. Given his forum name i doubt he will be legit, so go ahead and give your bot a r2h.
  14. I have a secondary account with very similar stats to my main. my reason, unlike everyone else, was that my main was banned for over 2 years in total, my secondary was what i played during those times. I will say that i have many accounts from 20-65 cb, most are pures that never got finished, most with 1 defense and ~45 strength. They have never been members.
  15. Should have walked 30 seconds south to buy it from the Champs guild... :wall: I lol'd at this. you obviously didn't read the post you quoted as it says he needed it for dragon slayer. your posts seem to be the most laughable on the rsc board as for the original poster, taking player to player trading out of the game was a horrible thing to do. additionally many of the updates that have come around lately have taken the realism out of the game that was present in classic. Honestly, hundreds of years ago people would have to walk to the market and stand there all day selling their items, it was part of life and people accepted it. God didn't 'update' his creation because people didn't want to put up with part of life. jagex shouldn't have either.
  16. Barrows gloves NEVER leave my equip screen, and my bunny ears only get taken off for combat.
  17. Your math is terrible. ;) 8/10. His math is correct... Ot: Grats, 2 very useful levels you got there.
  18. A very nice achievement. mining is one of the skills that often gets ignored by players unless it is required for a quest or activity. and f2p makes it even more special. 10/10
  19. I have posted this idea on RSOF and I encourage support! please post if you agree. QFC: 81-82-9-58271415 I've been pondering on what can be done about the abuse of drop potential on pvp servers. No one can deny that the pvp system is flawed, and most will agree that a solution needs to be found. My idea is simple, give rewards that are equal to risk by creating multiple drop tables. For example: The first level of risk's drop table will become available to you when you risk a minimum of 75k. You will recieve items of set value, not exceeding, say, 1.5M (drop potential factored in). The second level of risk's drops will be available with a minimum of 250k risk these drops will be limited to items equal to or under 2.5M (drop potential factored in). and will include all of the items from the 75k limit list. The third level of risk's drops will be available with a minimum risk of 500k, and will drop yet more expensive items not exceeding a value of 5M (drop potential factored in). This list will also include all of the items from the two lesser drop tables. The fourth 'level' of risk will start with a minimum risk of 800k, and will include all current pvp drops available (drop potential factored in). To avoid abuse to the system and make doing the 'trick' less profitable and to encourage actual player killing, I propose that if a kill is made more than one level below your own risk level, you will receive items from the drop list they would have received, had they made a kill. for example if someone who falls under risk level 3 kills someone who falls under risk level 1, they would receive only receive drops from the first list. This ensures that someone cannot deceive the system by risking, say, 1M and killing someone with 80k worth of items to try to receive a good drop, but still allows for them the potential to receive a good drop if they kill a player falling under levels 3 and 4, or up to a 2.5m drop, should they kill a player falling under level 2. Of course killing a player who falls under a higher level will still reward you within your drop list. I want to emphasize the importance of the one risk level limit. if you fall under risk level 4, your opponent must be risking a minimum of 500k for you to get a drop within your list. Any less than this and your drop will fall under level 2, netting you no more than 2.5m. Honestly, how many times is one of your friends going to die to you for 500k to allow you a chance at high end drops? This also brings back the realism of old-style pking, By promoting equal item loss (victim) to item gain (player who made the kill). by this I mean that (usually!) two players of similar combat need to be geared up similarly (in cost) in order for one to not have too great an advantage over the other. Also in the old wilderness, because you received the items your victim had on them, you needed to kill a player with expensive items in order to obtain said items. This only further proves that the system will work. For example: Two players, the first player being skulled wearing full karil's (risk level 4) is more likely to kill a one item-er with 75k coins in their inventory (level 1) than to have that same one item-er kill them. If either player killed the other, both would receive drops from list 1, the one item-er because they were not risking enough for a higher table, and the player in karil's because the player they killed does not have items of value, so why should they be rewarded with valuable items? By this logic two players, one in full rune, neitiznot helm, and protecting their whip (level 3) fighting the same Karil wearer (level 4) will have a pretty equal opportunity at killing each other and gaining the value of their opponent's items. The rune wearer receiving drops from level 3 for his kill, and the karil wearer having an opportunity at receiving ANY item.(factoring in drop potential). I really believe this is a viable alternative to the current system, if you find any flaws in my design, please bring them to my attention.
  20. I lol'd Only thing I can think of is the the icons around your inventory, most everything has been re-vamped.
  21. In runescape classic, the combat system locked you in combat until each player (or monster) has had 3 hits. 3 hitting is simply the term that came about to describe killing someone before they had a chance to escape combat with you. As for catching, it was a very handy technique to master. As there was no run/walk in classic, everyone moved at the same speed. This means that if someone got enough of a head start on you, they could get away easily. Catching is anticipating where your opponent will run when they leave the fight and moving your character strategically (cover the same ammount of ground space, while moving through fewer 'squares' on the map)this would allow you to close the gap between you and your opponent. If you were a good catcher, you would get more kills and therefore, more profit. The only reason the max on classic is 123, as opposed to 126 in rs2 is because jagex revamped the way the game calculates combat levels (combat formulas). basically they changed how prayer and magic affected your combat. Hope that helps
  22. My message was missed in the summon pic :shame: Grats again bro!
  23. He's a known botter anyways lol, can't believe some people fell for it. I was talking about that kid with nearly all 99s ;). Thank you for clarifying that. I had taken your post the same way, but ignored it as flame.
