A chance for all of us?
If people are willing to pay that much to get stuff, I say sell it.

new map areas for hunting?
If you talk the the Tzhaar guards (the ones with shields), they tell you that part of the tzhaar city is closed off to humans until they learn more about us. That obviously means that Jagex is going to put something else down there, could be several hunting creatures.

Christmas 2006 - Drop Party - F2P!!!
I would like to come, but, you know, it's Christmas eve, and I have church services at 8:30am, 11am, 5pm, 10pm, and 11pm, so it's gonna be kinda hard to make it. It sounds like a really great idea, though.

Is it just luck?
I think you have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting 2 warspears! Go buy a ticket...

latin in runescape?
This depends on whether you consider Old English to be English or not. The "Canterbery" you speak of is actually "The Canterbury Tales," written in 1386 by Geoffrey Chaucer. It was written in Middle English, a predecessor to the English we use today; the difference was that it was influenced more by the Saxon language and Latin and less by others (such as German). If Old English is considered to be English as well, then "Beowulf" is actually the first work of literature to be written in English. And English did not "almost die out." It developed over hundreds of years and was formed from a combination of the old Anglo-Saxon language and the Norse-French spoken by the Normans when they invaded England under William the Conqueror. I could also go into much more detail about the origins of the Saxon language, but that would be even farther off topic. And now an editorial note: it seems to me that the English language has all but died out, if the spelling and grammar on these forums have anything to say about it.

Could I kill lvl 133 Tzhaar?
So, changing the subject a little, what's the best way to get Tokkul?

Could I kill lvl 133 Tzhaar?
I was about to attack a lvl 133 Tzhaar (I forget the exact name) when I realized that he was 50+ levels above me and could probably hit really high. Could someone tell me whether I am strong enough to withstand them? Here are my stats and items. Combat 71 Atk 60 Str 57 Def 55 HP 59 Prayer 39 Magic 42 Ranged 48 Herblore 20 Dragon long, rune plate body + legs, rune kite, rune full helm, steel boots, ring of wealth, ammy of power, irrelevant cape and gloves. I don't mind fishing and cooking lots of swordies as long as I can kill 5 or 6 Tzhaar before going back to the pier.

Can't change a Slayer assignment!
I got a horrid assignment of 157 desert lizards from Chaeldar in Zanaris. When I went to Turael in Burthorpe, he wouldn't change my assignment for me? Is anybody else having this problem? Or is it just me?

HOW 2 GET COOKING 99 FAST AND CHEAP?

New and improved friends list
OK, first off, I'm just going to say that there won't be any pictures in this post, so you'll have to use your imagination. Right now, the friends list is much like the bank: just a list of items/people that are extremely un-organized. I suggest that the friends list be divided up much like the bank idea: have different windows that can be opened to show different people on your friends list. For example, if you are in a large clan, and there are 20-30 people from your clan online, plus your brother is online, plus your friend from school who is f2p (and cannot join the clan), it is impossible to find the right person to pm. If there were 3 or 4 tabs at the top (rename-able, of course), it would be vastly easier to find the person with whom you wished to communicate. Another idea of mine will make it easier to communicate with just those whom you wish to talk to. Just under the tabs that divide your friends list, place a "message all" (or something like that) that will enable you to send a pm to everyone on the list that is open at that time. This can be useful during clan wars when you don't want to shout out orders that everyone can hear, but don't want to click on each person's name and type the same message to everyone. Feel free to express your thoughts on this subject, and if someone has pictures they would like to add, pm me.

Revive Old Stat Display + Room for 6 More Skills!
Considering the hole Jagex has dug itself into with the stats page, I think your's is really good. Jagex has kept the stats page the same for so long that, if you moved the stats around to make room for 2 or 3 more but not 6, veteran players like me would take months to get used to the new placement of stats. I think a better alternative would be, after hunting comes out, to just make a scroll bar (like the quest page). Sure, it would be a hassle, but it's the only way to do it if you want everybody to be able to read their stats.

Fishing vs. mining?
Its way faster to get in in wildy. and the respawn time is only 23 minutes minus 0.33 seconds for every player online so if its a full worlds its about 12 mins. But f2p has an added risk to runite mining: pkers. 12 minutes in wildy (or mining runite, banking, and walking back) provides a lot of time for some pure ranger to KO you. And since there's only 5 runite rocks, and since you asked this question on a forum that no doubt hundreds of people visit every day, you will have considerable competition.

~~Newer Bank Of Runescape~~ **Updated again 05/15/09**
If there is a list of supporters, add me. I am sick and tired of having to go through my entire bank to find something, even though I keep it super-organized.

I'll second that.

Dragon fire breath
OK, thanks, this will help me in both Slayer and general training. I'm trying to get the dragon drops from them, and not being toasted will greatly improve my chances. :D
-
Dragon fire breath
Is the dragon fire breath considered a ranged attack or a mage attack? I am asking because, if it is mage, then using protect from mage prayer will allow me to range it while not wielding a anti-dragon shield and not get hit by the dragon's melee.

Mole lair questions
OK thanks, I was asking because I had a close encounter down there and wanted to make sure it didn't happen again.

Tip.It Times Presents: Is there a "For Sale"...
I've just got one thing to say: if Jagex does sell RS, I will quit and play Neverwinter Nights. Simple as that.

Mole lair questions
OK, I'm just going to number my questions and let anyone who wants to answer them, do so. 1. Is the giant mole aggressive? 2. Are there any monsters besides the mole in its lair? 3. If I dig while underground but have a lit candle or lantern, do the insects still attack me? I couldn't find the answers to these questions on the tip.it site, so I figured somebody could help me out. Thanks!

Would I be able to do Dragon Slayer?
Not with your current stats/armour. Get at least 40 in either attack or defence and get a rune item (don't forget the anti-dragon shield). Make sure to bring plenty of food and you should be fine. Dragon Slayer is regarded by F2Ps to be a hard quest; some intermediate P2P quests require the killing of a lvl 92 monster. D Slayer was one of the first quests to come out, before the advent of dragon armour/weapons. When it first appeared, it was considered a difficult quest. But now, with quests such as Monkey Madness, Desert Treasure and the like, D Slayer is pretty easy.

Tip.It Times Presents: Some Thoughts on Updates¢¢âš¬¦
First of all, very good article. But it makes you think - how many more years can Jagex continue to improve RS? There are only so many different quest ideas, and, as editor mentioned, there's only so much you can do graphically with a web java application. This won't happen anytime close at hand, but I am expecting Jagex to eventually make RS a downloadable program, that can then be run from your computer while connecting to the internet. It would make the overall game performance better, though might hinder updates for people with either slow internet speeds or people using shared computers (i.e. school, library). I have seen several other MMORPGs as downloads (though, I might add, they have nothing on RuneScape).

Best spot for leveling Mining?
All right, I'll try Al-Kharid. But my original idea was Rimmington. Farther away from any bank than Al-Kharid. Dwarven mine (I guess that's what you were refering to when you said Falador) doesn't have 3 ores close enough together, and Varrock is too popular as a power mining spot.

Best spot for leveling Mining?
Thanks for the suggestions, but I REALLY don't like competing for a mining spot.

Best spot for leveling Mining?
I am currently mining lvl 56 and am trying to get into the guild. Where is the best place for me (as a f2p) to get four levels quickest. I am not trying to bank the ore, just get to lvl 60.
