  1. Pharaoh's Sceptre from PP is gold. Rune scimmy is another good idea I saw.
  2. Around 58 hp, if you're using accurate or rapid. For anybody else with a similar question, just take the exp needed to get to the desired level, divide by 4 (for number of damage done) then multiply by 1.33 (to get the hp exp per damage done). See below. X = exp to get to lvl 70 ranged using accurate/rapid attack style (737,627) X . 1.33 = 245, 814 (approximately) 4
  3. They don't hit that high in the first place; why use prayer?
  4. Excellent guide! As you can see from my sig, I will have to wait a few months before utilizing all of its aspects, but I hope that it gets put in the AOW just so I don't lose it! 9/10, because I was looking for another paragraph that had the exp from all the monsters together where I could compare it.
  5. No, the only advantage the barbed harpoon has is that it is wield-able, freeing 1 more inventory space for fish.
  6. I LOVE this idea! Let me tell you, mining enough iron ore to get 2k iron bars is not my idea of fun, but this method breaks up the monotony! Keep 'em coming!
  7. Go around the outside (to the east). Just go follow the fence that runs north/south along the outside of the sity, parallel to the ocean. It's not that hard. Your only problem might be ogres, if you're a low level.
  8. I've seen people use it at lessers in Karamja. I don't know why it wouldn't work in members' dungeon at blue dragons, you might try there. Just don't forget an anti-dragon shield, or you might get a quick teleport to Lumbridge
  9. No, actually they're northeast of that circle, on the coast. Just northeast of the hut you see in that pic, if I'm not mistaken.
  10. Ditto. It's my favorite random because it gives you free banking without leaving wherever you are. It's really easy, just figure out which occupation is represented by the contents of the coffin then match it to the headstone.
  11. The total on another fansite is 9m-9.2m. It just depends on where you look. I don't think it's really that high though.
  12. Personally, I don't think PC is a good way to train unless you have a team with you. But decent guide, for those select people that are in Affliction or Heart Unit.
  13. I see your point. Since I've already got members, no. I won't be on the computer (unless I got a new game like WoW  ).
  14. How much money do you have right now? If you had 500k+, you could try merchanting. It's faster than you think. Or lvl up herblore (kind of boring) and slayer (1 of my favorites) and use slayer dart at Barrows.
  15. It all depends on the amount of damage you deal per arrow, and therefore the amount of exp per arrow. I would say about that many, give or take as much as 3-5k.
  16. I personally think wcing is the easiest to lvl. btw, what's your cooking lvl? That is the easiest, cheapest skill to lvl.
  17. HAM

Pick the lock on the trapdoor in lubridge forest. It's in the middle of a bunch of ruins. The trapdoor has a picture of a ham (bad pun by Jagex) on it. Once you pick the lock and open the trapdoor, just go down. I don't know if you have to do the Lost Tribe quest to get down there.
  18. Here's an article from the AOW. Merchanting
  19. Barrows drops, like any other drops in RS, are random. Some people get a left half drop their second day as members, others go a year+ without getting one. The drop rate, based on probabilities, is 1 in 18. How do we know that? Because some people did lots of barrows runs and a little math. That was their number. Maybe it's different for you. 'Course, now that you've posted about it, you'll probably get 3 straight runs with drops!
  20. That is incorrect. On world 66, you trade 27 pure ess for 27 laws. On world 99, you trade 25 pure ess (unnoted) for 25 pure ess (noted) and 2.5k.
  21. Mining Lvl 64 (close to 65). It's tied with fishing but mining has more exp.
  22. Me neither; that's a good idea. Hmmmm...
  23.   I ought to try that sometime...
  24. The reason most people get 85 is very simple. When the abyssal demons first were released and assigned a slayer requirement of 85, someone got 85 slayer and got a whip drop. They then proceeded to walk around with it, resulting in countless people gaping in awe and asking where that person got it. Once everyone realized that 85 slayer was required, it automaticly became the ultimate milestone in slayer. A player achieves 85 slayer because it has become such an important and meaningful level. If the demons had been available to kill at lvl 86, that would have been the coveted level. It is the same for most other skills: why does anyone want to get 85 mining? It costs too much, in either time or money, to make anything out of runite. So why, after several years, does 85 mining still sit up there in that elite circle of skill achievements? Because that is where RS players all over the world have placed it.
  25. I wholeheartedly agree with one of the minor propositions in this thread: that it isn't the game contents that keep us going, it's the friends, the encouragement we get from blog replies that allows us to prevail and finally to go to Catherby or the Rogues den and collect our hard-earned cape for the princely sum of 99k. I have a little story to tell to back up this argument: This past summer, I all but quit RS. I abandoned my account, going 2 1/2 months without playing. My brother, when he realized this, started pestering me for my rune armour and gp. But sometime in August, I was looking around on tip.it and decided to play a little more. I started mining, which was then at about lvl 55. Setting a goal for myself of lvl 60, I started playing more and more often. I have 2 friends who encouraged me, and I became increasingly active on these forums. Since then, I have gotten bored and re-installed Neverwinter Nights on this computer, but it can never match up to the amazing community in RS. That, above all things, is the one aspect of this game that has kept me hooked (because we all know it most certainly wasn't the graphics  ). I don't know if I will ever be able to "quit" rs. I might stop playing for a period of time because of school, but I probably will come back. Sorry for the long read :(
