  1. It's working now. Could a mod close this please?
  2. Is anybody else having trouble with their log-in screen right now? I can go everywhere else on the website, but when I choose a world, it gives me a "cannot display this webpage." It could be my computer (parents insist on putting time restrictions on it, even though I get around those in about two days). Anyway, if you read this 12 hours after the post time, don't bother replying.
  3. This is waaaaay off topic, but the expansion's not supposed to be that great. I mean, sure, you get an extra 10 combat lvls, but other than that... And frankly, if you can afford to play WoW, I just have 1 quick question: WHY THE HECK DO YOU STILL PLAY RUNESCAPE???
  4. Because many members are prejudiced against f2p players. The reason you don't and can't get more bank space, like I said earlier, is because it would start a wave of petitions for other things.
  5. I thought of this as well: you really can't get a debate on a subject like this, because every single f2p player wants more bank space. The vast majority (I would say 95-98%) of p2p doesn't want f2p to get more bank space.
  6. Actually, in rl back in the middle ages, there were swords called "hand-and-a-half" swords. They were fairly heavy, but not so much that they couldn't be wielded with one hand. And about the speed of the weapon, good idea, but how about this: at 90 strength, the 2h speed goes up to that of a battleaxe. At 99, you can choose to wield it in 2 hands (speed increases slightly) or one hand (speed goes to that of the 2h currently). Those are my suggestions.
  7. I am a member, and have been for 4 months, so I still have some recollection of having to drop random event items because of a lack of bank space. And I do think that everyone who has stayed f2p through higher lvls is a vital asset to the RS community. Imagine what would happen if all of a sudden Jagex closed the f2p worlds and RS became like WoW, ony allowing paying members to play. All the members who bought their coal from f2p players because they were "too good" to mine their own (and I hate those people) would now have to spend their precious members time mining. What about fletching? Who do you think kills all those chickens and buys all those feathers from the fishing shops? Certainly not members. And Jagex makes millions of dollars from the adverts that are on the f2p game screen. Many people think that the f2p game is just a demo, sort of like the 10-day trial version of WoW. Though Jagex may have initially maintained f2p for that purpose (and I think it has worked very well; after all, they convinced me to give them money), they must now realize it is much more than that. Therefore, I am undecided as to whether f2p should get more bank space. Perhaps if that was all they got, it would be fine. But the impact of such an additon would have catastrophic results. Sure, for a couple of weeks, they would be satisfied. But once that need is filled, what would you ask for next? A new f2p quest, or to make hunter or fletching available to f2p? More bank space would be a spark in dry leaves that would start a forest fire. The number of immature 9-year-olds whose parents won't pay for RS so they can be p2p makes any update above a graphical revamp impossible. I apologize for the long post. If you delete it, I respectfully ask that you pm me (here) and let me know why. Thank you.
  8. To completely replace the combat system in effect now: NO. To perhaps incorporate into a new minigame: YES. It's a great idea in theory, but there are too many flaws. Like what was said before, it would negate weapon speeds, making the D2h and greataxe the best weapons, hands down. It would also make dag kings and kq impossible, since you can't solo them. But the main detraction is that it would take all the fun out of fighting in real-time. And what about Jad? You have to see him to know when to switch prayers. But as perhaps a minigame, it would be entertaining, if nothing else. Maybe make it an option at the duel arena to fight turn-based, or real-time.
  9. Prayer pots, of course. With a high mage lvl, just get slayer to 55 and use slayer dart. The mind and death runes you get from the barrows rewards mean you actually gain runes if your mage is high enough (which it is). Plus the occasional barrows item means you're a millionaire.
  10. See the price guide for stuff like this. It's a sticky at the top of the "Help and Advice" forum.
  11. All of the above, especially fire giants. Though, in my opinion, you should lvl your herblore and do barrows. Much more efficient.

    Are you f2p?
  13. Personally, I think it's too high of a required lvl to get in. I mean, think about it: none of the other guilds require anything above 68 in a skill (not counting legends). Perhaps 70 or something?
  14. Same with Goblin Diplomacy, Restless Ghost, Imp catcher. Thats all I know so far What's up with that? I beat the quests and THEN they put in cutscenes!
  15. Kill chaos druids is my advice. Then collect secondary ingredients in the usual way.
  16. There's really nothing you can do until your defence is higher. Part of your problem may be that you keep the metal armour on while fighting the mages, which just gives them an added bonus. Try also getting your mage up once your combat is strongly melee-based, so you can defend against the mages better. And don't forget the combat triangle: Warrior > Ranger Ranger > Mage Mage > Warrior
  17. Yeah, 64 actually makes more sense when you compare it to the other lvls given in the cooking guide. My given lvls for trout and salmon were just guesses, as I prefer to cook tuna and swordies and haven't done either fly-fishing fish for about a year. :D
  18. If you have enough money (i.e. 400k), wait a couple weeks for the economy to settle down from the new TT stuff then start merchanting.
  19. Judging from the lvls at which you stop burning tuna & lobsters, I would say anywhere from lvl 58-62. You can't burn tuna at 65, so if you get that far, you should be good.
  20. Just get duplicates of everything you will be using and you can keep all that stuff in your bank (as long as you don't take every item out, you can just stack everything).
  21. It's because RS runs off a java application, which performs all of the computations within the one page. Therefore the only url is that of the home page, though I think they use a different one for the world map and high scores. Next time you're online, look up at the url: it's http://www.runescape.com/ which is the same as the home page.
  22. I got a big swordfish a couple months ago. At 63 fishing, so they're pretty rare. Persistence is the word here.
  23. I always thought it was 2 or 6... Guess that's why I wasn't winning.
  24. Good luck! I wish I had friends that were online enough to have a race like this (but then again, my total is over 1000 already, so...) :(
