I've thought of the str helping things myself...My idea is that the higher yoru str is, the faster you can att with a 2h...I mean it makes sense, plus it'll still require 2h, so you can't carry a shield...so it'd still be mostly balanced. I mean no one really uses the 2h's for much anymore. I think how slow they attack is ridiculous because you are already sacrificing using a shield...Why penalize you doubly? But yeah, some of your ideas are pretty good, i don't like the breaking idea though.

This would pretty much be solved in an easier way, if the bank would automatically group armour with armour, herblore with herblore, etc. I think that'd help me a lot anyway.

That has been here for 2-3years now. Any rscer remember A S H L E Y and A S H L E Y? ;D Yeah, i remember that well. Except she'd go on her pker which everyone knew had low def and then she'd switch to her dueler which was obviously very well made for dueling heh.

I'll say fishing, because it's nice and relaxing and can make good money with it. I like it because you don't compete with other players for the fish (unlike wc and mining), you can just sit back and relax and watch the lobbies or sharks come in, and also you can look at forums or other things while fishing. Cooking is pretty fun too when you get higher level and cook sharks and they are so fast exp. And it's rewarding when you can fish and cook all your own lobs and sharks.

being a newbie/newb/nub/noob, don't you know it's a way of life? Seriously, whether you are considered one or not has to do with how you act (at least to me). If you are begging for stuff, i consider you a noob even if you are level 100. If you go about your own business like a man and have good knowledge of the game, then no i don't think you are a noob at level 52 or whatever. I started playing so long ago that i could consider Novalyfe a noob if i really wanted...There's no point in judging someone just on when they started playing, being a noob has to do with how you act.

In my experience, black demons are not something you kill for trying to get good drops...I spent many nights there ranging them for hours and i rarely got anything decent. Black demons are good exp, but are stingy with drops i'd say. Fire giants are a better bet for getting a dragon med or whatever.

...I think all they are saying that there is a square root in the formula that would make the graph of the probability of getting a barrows item with increased kill count look like this: Edit: The forum program did not keep the format of my graph i made, but it starts steep and then levels off gradually. So yeah, i dunno if you can make out the graph or not, kill count increases along the x axis and probability of getting barrows item increases along y axis. So yeah, raising kill count would raise probility of getting barrows item, but the armount it increases it lessens as you go up in kc, and eventually it essentially levels off with a high kill count. That being said, personally i don't think kc is involved, but whatever, hehe. Also, don't say "this has been done before", because as anyone who knows stats or research knows, the more data and studies done, the better.

Snake slava was suspected of autoing a LOT back on these very forums in the days of rsc...and he was banned for autoing. To me he doesn't really count. It's funny how people that were held in such low regard in these very same forums in rsc are praised now. I remember A S H L E Y was not liked well here at all...She was downright deceiving...She had a pker (her main) that was low def, and she had a dueler with the name the same except one space. The pker and dueler were the same combat level, so she'd trick people into staking a lot thinking they were dueling her low def pker, then she'd duel them with the high def char and win...That's deceiving for her own gain...Plus it was heavily suspected she used an autocatcher in wild (not that most of you will know what an autocatcher would do or how much it'd help). Just a bit of info i guess...

No they aren't worth it. I was a pure in rsc where pures were in more dominant, and it wasn't even really worth it then. The way the combat system is set up now, i see very little point in it.

Yeah, i know what you mean. When i stopped playing (about 2 years ago), i was in the top 1k for range with level 80 range...now you need 99 to be in top 1k lol.

I had an awesome time, though i just thought of a good way we should've ended it. Since i had my scythe with, we shoulda went to wild and i coulda dressed in black robes and a hood and took you out of the rs world in proper fashion. We even coulda done it by some water to make it look like it was the river styxx...woulda been a cool way to go out. I'm sure Oergg coulda found some nice sad heroic music to go with that, hehe.

Hmm, this is ridiculous....The censor is to keep little kiddies from being exposed to words they shouldn't be. If the kiddie knows their swear words enough to interpret the "f yeah" as, well you know, then the censor wouldn't matter anyway because they already know that word...Now, going around the censor and spelling words out with different letters that make the word sound the same as a swear word, well that's a bit different. People (jagex included) need to get their panties out of a twist over this...Yeah, some kids play RS, but it doesn't mean all of us will always have our "i'm a kindergarten teacher" hat on...Lots of us are older and the way we act around our peers normally will naturally come out sometimes by accident... I mean it's like taking someone from the southern states and putting them up north and expecting them to never say "y'all"...Obviously it's gonna happen on accident sometimes, even if they know they're gonna catch flak for it.

I've been around in RS for over 3 years now (off and on with lots of off time), and it's amazing that the prices for most of the basic goods has remained pretty stable. Coal has always been around 150-200 and lobs around 200-300 gp, the price fluctuates of course, but they are within those ranges most of the time...The rare market is the only thing that has gone crazy really, and how that's affected other things...well that's a different conversation, haha.

Of course it is, Jagex steals all their ideas from other books and also folklore motifs...

I stopped going for high kc awhile ago...I get just as many runes and every barrows drop i've gotten was from a "low" kill count below 20. err, i mean, yeah 500kc is the way to go...More chest opens for me in that time then haha. To each his own.

I agree rsc pking was so much better. Your suggestions are good, but i think pking is pretty much a lost cause as of now. Soloing is basically dead now. I mean what happened to the old days when everyone was basically on an even playing ground...We all put on our melee gear, pot, pray, then att and hope for some big number 3 hittage...If you won it was either because you had better stats or could catch better....Nowdays it's if you have better items or have a bigger team :roll: I think one of the biggest problems is the "triangle". I mean sure it's cool cuz it added depth, but unless you wanna get owned easily if you are just unlucky enough to come across the type of combat that kills you easily, then you gotta carry at least 2 sets of armour, at least 2 weapons, etc. But yeah, i support your suggestions, and any start is still good :)

Oh paw claw, please don't hurt me with your scathing criticism, hsss! :roll: In original rs i was a pure so i did my pking at castle or bandits, i didn't pk at altar, so i didn't recognize it. Also, as Oergg said, what really matters is what the end user gets out of it, so don't criticize for posting what i personally got out of it.

Well...from the lyrics and clips what i got from it was: The clips from rsc and the clips from the 100th quest were contrast of new and old RS. Personally, i don't think the stuff about changing the altar fits with the rest of the video. I mean it's like: look at old rsc, now look at rs's 100th quest, aww how cute. Look how much rs has changed and how long of a road it's been. Oh, nastalgia...Oh, btw, CHANGE THE LEVEL 37 ALTAR NOW!!!!!! It seemed to me that the "the world is ours" part was like a segue to a new section that would be about making the changes for the community, instead of just ending.
