Update of the top 9 1- Aasiwat (2,12B) : He still maintaining a 100M xp lead of his closest pursuer, training mostly slayer, WC and a bit of construction. Coming Milestones: 100M slayer and 100M construction, either could make him the first player to get 9 skills at 100Mxp. 2- Jdelacroix (2,02B) : Has just grabbed rank 2 from inactive Gertjaars, training mostly firemaking, herblore and farming lately. Coming milestones : 200M construction (on the ice for the last 2 weeks) and 200M firemaking (5th and 6th 200M skills). 3- Gertjaars (2,02B) has been inactive for the last months. 4- Zarfot (2,01B) Will take over rank #3 later this week or during the coming week-end. Has been training slayer a lot lately but for the lst couple days, he has returned to his WC-FM-Fletch training. Coming milestones: nothing in sight. 5- Drumgun (1,94) : After getting his 7th and 8th skills at 200M two weeks ago, he has started training both thieving and fletching at great speed. Coming milestones: nothing in sight, but at the pace he's going, 2B is not far away. 6- Erw J (1,79B) : considered the slowest training active top player, he's mostly training WC these days and will probably stay at rank 6 for the next couple weeks. coming milestones: 1,8B total and 100M WC (which would tie him up for most skills at 100M with Drumgun, Gertjaars, Jdelacroix and Aasiwat). 7- Lan (1,75B) : Lan has been slaying a lot lately and is also pretty much locked on rank 7 for the next couple weeks as no one looks to overtake him. Coming milestones: 100M ranged (8th skills at 100M same comments as Erw J) 8- Kingduffy (1,66B) Kingduffy is an ex rank 1 overall (lvls, not XP) who specialize in keeping all skills ranked pretty high (once had all skills ranked 90 or better prior to dungeon). Has been slaying the last couple weeks but it looks like he's training skills over rank 100 lately. He's in no position to get a better rank in the near future and still has a good lead on rank 9. Coming milestones: nothing in sight! 9- Paperbag (1,58B) : even though Paperbag is under 1,6B, I've added him to my list in light of his recent achievement of getting 200M prayer for his 6th skills at 200M the 3rd player to do so.

BTW, Jdelacroix passed gertjaars yesterday for rank 2 overall.

from advertising - which is not 100% from F2P "views". 7% was the numbers shown 2-3 years ago and that number was shrunking every year.

Here comes Mr. Jagex sucks <_< This update makes me want to level my dungeoneering level a bit. ... Negative players that live to be negative will always be...yes, negative. I wasn't expecting an absolutely mindblowingly good update, I was expecting an update that gave Dungeoneering a good use outside of Daemonheim, and it delievered. As nobody else has mentioned it here yet, the new dungeon that is in the al-kharid mine has VERY frequent imp spawns that I believe range all the way up to kingly (TBC). I was there for about 20 mins and saw 5 Zombie imps, 3 Dragon imps and 2 Ninja imps spawn. The knowledge base mentions impling on karamja with the lesser demons, but I've only seen regular imps... found an empty world or a mistake on the KB?

Well you were raging earlier. Members should get higher XP rates, I don't know why this skill should be any different than the others. I think anyone playing RS spends too much time around 12 years old TBH and up until that post, nothing you wrote could have been seen has constructive criticism. You know as well as I do that removing impossible doors would mean faster floors and in the end faster XP. The only way to balance a solution like that would be to reduce the Xp rewards. Just a patch that would change nothing to how fast or slow the skill is trained in F2P.
-
haha nice Jurassic Park reference!

This is rather hilarious. It would be very incompetent to give F2P better xp rates because they have less skills for challenge doors. Don't worry mate, I forgive ignorance. They already have different rates of experience. Simply substituting F2P skills for members skill doors on F2P servers is how it should be done. That's not ignorance. I'm not saying that if you can't put a Thieving door that a skill door shouldn't be there, I'm say a Mining door should be there or some other F2P skill. Would you rage if there were mining doors with 103 mining reqs? You'd have F2P skills doors that you could not open. You would have the same effect than members but because you don't have access to herblore, you could not open those doors. Your point would be invalidated and your XP rates would stay the same. Would that be a solution?

I guess Evil_ Eye's point is that nothing aside from the Frost dragon brings something new to the game (minus Dungeoneering). These new places are very nice for the gameplay and the overcrowding of some places but it's still more of the same. I can relate to that, but I'm very pleased by those additions as well as the one-time rewards of discovering these places.

I thought the black demons were "still" in the chaos tunnel?

Wow at the new hellhounds area... Very nice for those camping steel and iron drags in brimhaven, they can finally put those bars to use. I was hoping for a new area with agressive aberrant specters though... better luck next time.

I never thought I'd be so accurate on my assumptions...

I have always been a player that looked forward to the lifting of the 99 cap. I wish to see what would happen to the current bosses with higher level players. I also think the cap should be lifted gradually, for example, 1 lvl per month for 21 months. That would give plenty of time for those who want to keep up with the highest lvls to make it to the next month. Of course, in the last months, that challenge would be harder and those who already have the XP would have a timing advantage over the others. I expect Jagex to fill the current skills, fix the "HP" problem in PVP and release some new harder bosses to tease us before lifting the cap. The worst thing they could do would be to lift the cap all the way to 120 in one go without warning. PVP would be so messed up and knowing the whinny nature of pkers (yeah flame bait), countless players would quit on the spot. To Jagex I say: bring it on!
-
it happened everytime Jagex released a new skill. Nothing we can do about that at least until batch 2...

does it justify botting?
-
@ Ring Interesting solutions.... but more fun ways to train will not stop botters to gatter pure ess. Pure ess mining is only to make cash, not to train mining. Greed and laziness are the motivation for botting.
-
Or maybe i have a massive cashpile and im waiting on getting them all to 99 in one go :) and I dont bot, but i dont hate people that do either. They dont HURT my gameplay and infact they will BENEFIT me when i work on all my production skills at once :) have a nice day No you don'T understand, my opinions are now truth and nothing you say have any effect. You fear that people ranting against bot will make Jagex be harsher on macros and you will end up perma-ban. There I go, another baseless assumption. Have a nice botter's day. As to your statement saying bots don't have an effect on your gameplay, wait till you start slaying pure-ess droppers and you'll get undervalued drops.
-
@Ring World I'm just gonna throw it out there and assume you botted your 99 WC and cooking and run a CC of manipulators without proof and make a fool of myself because I consider the assumptions I make to be the truth. I will also assume you are a bad merchanter because you have bad expensive skills stats.
-
Bots are causing inflation mate.... what do you think happens to drangonhide once it's tanned and crafted? What about yews? Bots are causing inflation and driving prices down on some items.
-
YES. I know there is still some business for runescape gold selling, but I can guarantee that most of the botters now are just for self gain. Botters are helping you. I'm not saying you should bot, I'm just saying that you should understand that in the long run, they're helping you and I wouldn't report them.. Please explain how botters are helping me enjoy the game when I have to fight them over chins, falconry, green drags...etc? Don't tell me to go monster hunting to gain cash, I know how to gain cash. If I like training at bots infested areas, it's my problem and it pisses me off somewhat that these bots are allowed and even glorified by a lot more tip.iters than 2-3-4 years ago.
-
On a world with around 1000 players, you can easily find 100-150 bots running around the various bot infested areas... That gives a 15% population actively botting. Relating this to Tip.It, it means roughly 1 poster out of 7 is a botter/cheater. It's fair to assume that a couple posters on this thread are using bots from simple probability. I'm not gonna point the finger at anyone, but I'm fairly sure that Tip.It harbors some cheaters. We've had some fairly known cheaters in the past and nothing indicates the situation is better these days... far from it.

2011 - Will there be a Runescape and will you be playing?

Haha, welcome to 2008. :P The 20k with 99 attack made me laugh a little too. Good times, good times. wrong mate! unless you plan on quitting in the next 6 months... That post your replying to was made 4 years ago. ;) Yes I know. -
lol most of us wait until after school or work to go on wanna-be mod adventures. Judging by the amount of 99's you have and your dedication to hunting bots while your not leveling, I would say you probably play a bit too often and feel bots are bad because it degrades your "acheivements". Of course i could be wrong... but if im right then people like you are what disgust me about elite runescape players Nah I hunted bots for an hour because I happened to go to varrock and saw those dozens of white dots running around and wanted to mess up with them a bit. I had my fun and that's all that matters to me. I hate bots because they happen to be in my way when I train some skills. I can also make some assumtions about you, but I won't stoop to that level.
