I'm with you that Jagex should fix the pvp GP inflation first but botting messes up the economy almost equally. Yeah, keeping the current XP rates, 3 years would be impossible. Future updates and other bonus XP week-end could make this possible though. We're gonna get the 4th and 5th player shortly to reach the 2B mark, can any other player reach that mark before the year ends? If Lan can't do it, no other can IMO.

@ squisher Helbovie was implying "someone" might do it, he wasn't saying Drumgun was gonna be that player.

I have a feeling that if they ever decide to repeat this event and once again charge a price for it, the number of players that will buy a ticket thinking they will get a special item as well as a refund will find themselves paying the full price. I have a feeling their second Runefest will be very profitable!

Update of the top 8 - Aasiwat is mostly slaying and WCutting these days. Coming milestones : 100M slayer. Current lead : 87M xp, lead over current closest pursuer : 108M xp. - Gertjaars is still inactive at rank #2 - Jedelacroix is looking to become the 3rd player to cross the 2B line tomorrow. He's mostly training Herblore and FM. Other coming milestones : 200M construction and 200M FM (5th and 6th 200M skills) - Zarfot is still slaying and look to cross the 2B mark 2-3 days behind Jd. He has no other coming milestones. - Drumgun has become the 5th player to reach the 1,9B mark and he's finishing summoning. He should become the first player to max out summoning, making him also the first player to reach 200M in 8 skills. - Erw J is still training WC, he should reach the 1,8B mark and 100M xp WC sometimes this summer. - Lan is also still slaying he should remain at rank #7 for a long time. His only coming milestone is 100M ranged which would tie him with Drumgun, Gertjaars, Jdelacroix and Aasiwat for most skills at 100M xp. - Kingduffy has slowed his slayer training a bit to focus on WC and Fish, probably so he can achieve rank 100 or better in every skill, something that has eluded him since the release of Dungeon. He has no coming milestones and is pretty much locked for rank #8 for a while seeing as he's 100M ahead of his closest pursuer and 75M xp behind Lan.

I'd like to have the cap raise to 120, but not before the current skills are finished properly and constitution is fixed for PVP, even though I don't PVP.

Nice summary Seppel, It's been estimated by various posters in this thread that someone will probably max out all skills in the next 5-8 years. Considering your analysis takes 7,5 years and that top players are around 35% completed, it's fair to assume the 5 years estimate is a sound one. Unknowns: future skills and better training methods (game updates or useful finds like mousekeys).

It happened in the days of Zezima when he was first overall and first in slayer. A rare feat though especially now that some players have their #1 rank locked for pretty much eternity.

Overview of the current top 8 -Aasiwat has reach the 2,1B xp milestone today. His coming milestones are 100M slayer and Construction, slayer being more likely seeing he's mostly trianing slayer and WC these days. He's on pace to become the firts player with 9 skills at 100M. His lead over his closer active pursuer is down to around 110M xp. -Gertjaars is still inactive at rank 2 -Jdelacroix is 10M xp away from the impressive 2B mark. His next milestone is probably that or 200M construction which he seems to have delayed for some personnal reasons. Even though he's closing the gap between him and Aasiwat, the gap that he stretched with Zarfot has been shrinking lately. It's a possibility they might want to cross the 2B mark together. -Zarfot is pacing Jd very closely and should get the 2B mark shortly. He has no other coming milestone for the moment. -Drumgun has outpaced everyone this past week and if he indeed has enough charms for 200M summon, he could also become the first player to get 8 skills at 200M shortly. Doing this will also get him to the 1,9B mark. -Erw J has been enjoying a slow pace latety and should reach the 1,8B mark this summer. -Lan is still slaying these days at a slower pace than a couple weeks ago and his only coming milestone would be 100M xp in ranged for his 9th skill at 100M. -Kingduffy is also mostly slaying these days and he has no notable coming milestones at the moment. Players under the 1,6B mark and closing in: Nintendo Swe currently at 1,55B, Paperbag at 1,54B and Elias at 1,52B.

I find myself somewhat at the exact opposite of you. I would never come to these boards if I wasn't actively playing the game. I view RS as a single player game mostly... yeah I'm that kind of player who would rather train slayer alone with no interaction. This is probably why I can't debate properly the issue of the "degrading" community. But back to your topic, great 10 000th posts, here's to another 10K more!

I keep track of my ranks, but my ranks are mostly results of me having fun playing this game. For example, I love slaying, that's why I kept slaying after I got 99. Eventually I gained a very respectful 1230 rank in that skill. Even though a goal of mine is to eventually reach rank 1000 in that skill, it does not conduct my gameplay and I imagine that playing the gmae the way I do will make me reach that "goal".

According to www.rsstats.net He gained 31M xp in summoning during this day which will end in 3 hours since I'm pretty sure it's maintained by someone form Holland. Kinda fell somewhat bad for Toony who's slayed his summon XP the hard and long way, but I'm still very impressed by Drumgun's progress.

Little update, Drumgun has officially taken rank #1 in summoning as well as reaching the 1,8B total xp and 8th 100M xp skill.

Yep I used to count him out, now, everything's possible IMO.

@ squisher Seeing some players can get nearly 1M xp slayer these days, it would not seem impossible to think these rates could go higher in a couple years when or if he decides to tackle the skill. Sure he's not in the best position to max out all skills, but he's certainly not to be dismissed anymore.

I'M completly baffled by Drumgun's str gains today... 46M in a day... Well huge update then: Drumgun has now reached 200M in str for his 7th 200M skill, the first to ever do so. He's also reached rank #5 passing Erw J. He will reach 1.8B xp later today or tomorrow, becoming the 5th player in RS history. He will tie Aasiwat, Gertjaars and Jdelacroix for most skills at 100M later this week and could also reach 200M summon xp, becoming the first ever and also the first to get 8 skills at 200M xp. Slayer is still his weak point, but I ave to say that anything is possible at this moment...
