Estimates range from 5 years to 10 years, with a lot of people saying it will never happen... Let's say the player with the most XP today with about 2,05 Bil Xp gets 1M Xp per day. That player will still need 8,2 years to max out all skill at 200M. Keep in mind some players can get more than 6-7M xp per day and with the bonus XP week-end, we saw some players getting 30-40M XP in a day.

I dont see how, but we shall see... Same here, still too far to be a contender...
-
This is probably the reason why you are not taken seriously.
-
Ancient magick blood spells could also work. I averaged 15 kills / trip a couple years ago with bad equip compared to what's available today.
-
Having all skills going to 120 would actually make most of the skills faster to max 200M out. All gathering skills would be boosted as well as combat. I seriously don't think Drumgun will ever try to tackle 200M Xp slayer, I'm curious as to what skill he/she's gonna train after the 7th 200M skill. I'm keeping score on Aasiwat, Zarfot, Jdelacroix and Kingduffy, even though S U O M I and Telemonarques are impressive as well as ERW J and Drumgun, they are not on pace to get the spotlight or have chosen to build their skills in a weird way to max (ERW J and Drumgun).

Hunter strange rocks more often and bonecrusher working on hunter bones.... se-oui-tte!!!
-
Looks like most of the top contenders are waiting for dungeon batch 2 before tackling the skill properly. Zarfot, Jdelacroix (who's currently rank 3 in XP and going at top speed) and Aasiwat are all around lvl 70-73 in dungeoneering and they look like they only use peng points and lamps on the skills recently. Looks like Gert is either on break or decided to quit, he gained no xp in more than a week and Aasiwat has almost 30M Xp on him. Looks like Drumgun will be the first to achieve 7 skills at 200M Xp during the summer, but at 15M xp slayer, he's not a contender. At these rates, Zarfot and Jdelacroix should cross the 2B mark in the middle of the summer. I think we'll have a clearer view once batch 2 is released.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!

Qeltar on truthscape forums showed a twitter hint saying Jagex are looking into the bonecrusher working for hunter bones... very nice probable update. -
GJ Deekay, had a laugh.

I don't mind Runescape having a sub-title. This is clearly not a major issue.

Nice articles. Concerning the end of Runescape, I have a feeling that if they don't release more skills beyond dungeoneering, all that is left is the removing of the 99 cap on all skills, as well as new monsters to fit the new combat lvls and new ressources to make use of the higher lvls. I have a feeling this is possible and could be an easy to implement solution to decreasing membership (meaning drastic decreases and last ditch effort, not something I see in the next 2 years at least).

heres a funny story. when i was level 7 dung i was HELPING my nooby friend who was level 5 dung. we were at it for seriously 45 minutes (i was doing all the work since he's horrible). we get to a room with some type of level 100+ warrior, i kill it. he runs over and spam clicks all the drops. among them, i see a gorg full helm. i say "hey could i have that helmet? its perfect for my 80 defense". he says "you wouldn't give it to me if you got it" i say "yeah thats cause your 56 defense". i say "seriously, i'm really helping you level here, could i please have it?" he says "no i binded it, im going to get 80 defense". i leave the dungeon. next day he destroys it. obviously at that time i wouldn't have binded it, but if i could bind two items i probably would have. The thing is, you should get better friends... Dungeoneering really shows how people are. I only duo or trio with people I trust, I've had enough bad experience from large teams with leechers, afkers and drop spammers to even bother going in with strangers.

Very intrigued about the farming rewards... -
The ditch? I agree. I wish rich friends were actually willing to give away their stuff.....................So sick of giving my friends discounts and then they sell of whatever I give them. But buying gold is a point (especially considering it's illegal). The ditch is what seperate the wilderness and the "normal" world. We used to not have to click to enter the wilderness and instead a warning window appeared.
-
Removal of the wilderness is not connected to luring, the ditch was connected to luring. Trade warnings are a good thing. Saying someone deserves to be scammed because of them being oblivious to item swapping is the same kind of talk about cute girls getting raped and deserving it. Trade limits is not about baby sitting... it could also be viewed as being the complete opposite. You can no longer gain an advantage over other players because you have rich friends or you buy gold.

That was epic, thanx for the laugh!

Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
langer replied to langer's topic in General Discussion
They actually already do this. Please take the time to at least read the post. I asked about beta testing like they did before releasing RS2, when members and then everyone could try out the beta game. I'm asking if every update should be treated like this... -
Why Dragon Bone prices will keep increasing...

I have a feeling that the OP has an interest in bones being higher priced.... just a thought, not an accusation though. -
Should Jagex start beta testing with players?

@ Howbadisbad How would react a pker testing a future update that relies mainly with high prayer? Investing on D bones on the side? Do you trust every experienced players? Beta testers would have only saved us a week of bad calibrated dungeoneering rewards. The skill in itself is probably the most played out upon release than any of the latest skills. Summon got the "too expensive" treatment. Hunters had to wait a couple months before discovering money-making through chins. Construction got the "too expensive" treatment and hard to get supplies upon release. Farming was voted the worst skill for a good 2 years before people realised how profitable it was. Slayer... last time we got a skill that was played as much upon release. -
You have probably no idea how wrong you are.

Should Jagex start beta testing with players?

What if they'd release the information to everyone while it is being tested, so that the entire player base would know at the same time how the game will be affected via future updates? -
Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
langer replied to langer's topic in General Discussion
I have to admit that I started this debate here after lurking a topic on TS/Runescoop forum 30 minutes ago. I'm glad you came here to reply because this subject is full of grey areas. I understand the need to make beta-testers adults-only and make them sign non-disclosure agreements, but how would you calculate the risk of leaks and their effect on the market? How would you reward these people (free membership? ). Would the pros cover the risks? I know the gameplay would smoothen up a bit adn releases would probably be fullproof upon release most of the time, but the idea of select players knowing future updates and having the ability to invest or "sell the info" to other players bother me somewhat. I consider myself to be an ethical person, but I cannot garantee that the select few would be... -
Every update, we see lots of bugs appearing and almost everytime, Jagex needs to fix them on the spot or the week after. Many people ranted that Jagex in-house beta testers don't know how the common player plays and that relates to bug-filled updates and irrational content like the way too expensive rewards of dungeoneering upon release. Should Jagex allow players to beta test future updates on the side? Like parallele servers that have no impact on the "real game". Should Jagex choose to do it, do you think they should allow all players to beta-test or a select-few? Should they announce future updates to all players or only the select-few? How would this affect the economy if everyone is aware of future updates or only the beta-testers?

What's cool about the Internet is that any moron can write anything he wants... and I'm not talking about Qeltar.
