  1. This is a nice first step into removing the 99 cap. I've been waiting 5 years to get my attack stats above 99 as base levels... Really hope for a removal of the cap in the next year or so...
  2. I'll try a couple solo rounds before trying it with friends, then will probably wait for some CC's to open up.
  3. Are items like only useable inside dongeons? Or can they be used outside as well? EDIT : nvm checked the knowledge base....
  4. The epic Jagex researcher can now claim he can see the future! Nice one Ren, your theory was the best one out there and it turned out to be the right one. Feel free to parade and gloat!!
  5. Anyone who plays Runescape is a casual gamer. Runescape is by no means a "hardcore" game. It doesn't require any skill, it simply requires knowledge and a lot of time. Putting a lot of time into something doesn't make it hardcore, otherwise we would be calling Farmville nerds hardcore gamers. I think he meant casual in the sense some players won't go for maximum XP rates...
  6. All skills getting better training methods in the next couple kills : likely. All skills being as fast as cooking and firemaking are these days in a couple years : highly unlikely. Look at slayer, in 4 years it went from a 12-13k per hour max to 18-25K per hour max on average with the new equipment. That's doubling previous standards, but nowhere near the rates you can get with the fastest skills. if you are maxed and want to you can average at least 30k xp/hr slaying; I think it's a trend that may continue I have no doubt, but we are talking extremes here. The casual player will average 15-20k xp per hour.
  7. Looks like my prediction came true... but it wasn't that difficult to predict. Making that thread up to date, a player getting 1Mil xp / day and that has already 2Bil xp overall will need 3000 more days to max out at 5 Bil xp (only taking into account 1 more skill will be added only). That's 8,2 more years starting today. Double that XP rate and you get 4,1 years till the first player "maxes out". I'd say that 8 years figure is most likely if you include more than one more skill and declining XP rates due to the fact these high profile players are running out of high XP rates skills sooner or later (RC, slayer, agility, fishing... compared to cooking, herblore, construction, fletching, crafting and other incredibly fast skills if you have the funds to burn).
  8. When you have a big team and don'T have to drink sara brew that much, then super prayer will be better.

I will agree with some that Qeltar's sample seems small, but I haven't seen any other analysis suggesting he's wrong. If he's wrong, then it just means his sample was the exception to the rule. I would really be interested in Bladwing's bigger sample to see if his results are much different that Q's. Either way, I trust statistics better than theory, I've seen too many claims that someone hitting 100% accurately should benefit more from berserker ring without data to back it up.
  10. Don't worry, I'm cynic enough to know that politicians do not work for us and that going through the machine to get something done just by popular movement sometimes take a lot of time. All I know is that the world is often unfair and you get what you get because of who you are, who your parents are, where you're born, where you are now and ultimately, how much money you have. I just wish everyone had the same Internet access that I have, but I know it's not economically possible.
  11. 12th, eh? out of like 250. I'm sorry but lol. The US are often viewed as the top dog country in the world making people think they are the best in most categories. When looking at several aspects, they will consistently rank in the top 20 but more so lately they won't find themselves in the top 5. They have indeed laggued behind from their peak in the late 70's to early 80's. Edit: Wow, sorry for being off-topic.
  12. Economics and politics are closely related. If I get your problem right, you suffer from a lack of Internet choices in your area. The reason is that your local economy is not ready to step up to higher standards. If you can't get the service you seek in your area, either complain to a politician to get that service or move to a place where that service is offered. If you can't relax because other players have a better connection or Internet deal than you, then I can't help you and I'm pretty sure no one here can. I won't mention politics again, but you have to admit that it's probably an economic problem, following your statement that the US are ranked 12th in terms of Bandwidth/Broadband efficiency, once again not something I can change.
  13. complain to a local politician... I don't think we have enough leverage here to change your country... In this regard, the US should look up to Europe where for 50$ you get 2 months of Internet, access to cable television and a land line for phone. More competition between companies and less price fixing.
  14. if there's a nuclear attack in your city...... maybe.
  15. I never participate in holiday event just to get a useless item or emote... I'd have done it if there had been a nice reward (xp or useful item... not another cornucopia)
  16. Was already too old to find pokemon cool when it exploded some 10 years ago... Glad some of you guys loved the "prank", as long as there were some nice discussions on the board, it was business as usual for me.
  17. Dragons are usually the best bet. Everyone does green dragons, and I dont have the start up money for steel/iron ones. but thanks anyways ;) Blue dragons are just as fine as green considering they are less crowded

Fully support, other untradeables should also be storable in BoBs, nightshades for example...
  19. Pros : - more accurate hits - possibility to expand the skill with equipment or potions - some food and specs heal higher (used to be rounded down) Cons: - some npc's hit higher (used to be rounded down) i.e. in pyramid plunder, the scarab swarm hits lots of "low hits" quickly which used to be rounded down to 1 and are now around 19 - some players feel it violates an aspect of the game that remainded unchanged for a long moment - evaluating your remaining life points in critical situation (PVP, boss hunting) is harder Pro # 3 and Con # 1 kinda nullify themselves, while Con #2 and 3 require an adaptation period. Pro #1 is not very significant and Pro #2 has not been implemented fully to this date. I'd say, this is a good first step in the right directin for a good update, but it can't be labelled that yet as it is not yet completed with equipment effects.
  20. Your bank was worth 1,1 Bil in july 2009... any idea what's its worth today? Awesome either way. 10/10 for shock value .
  21. belladonnas, evil turnip, mushrooms, fruit trees and bushes. All you need to add to your daily run.
  22. One of the reason people say F2P is a demo is because it's primary objective is to promote the game (P2P) and entice player to get membership. I've not loggued in a F2P world in ages, but at the time, there were closed doors west of falador that locked you out of P2P territory. You could see the edges of what Taverley looked like. So the argument that Taverly is not F2P is kinda un-true. When the "expansion" of the full-game (F2P as some claims) is way bigger than the full game, it becomes justified to debate which one is the true full game. Claiming that F2P is not limited is pretty short-sighted, just take a look at the numerous items F2Pers can use but can't get except via trades with P2Pers. The other way around is not something you will see. I'll still say F2P is a demo because of its use for the company, but granted, it's a very complete and nearly limitless demo.
  23. If Me_Hates_Libs ever read this..... You just got your explanation why they were so cheap on updates this past 15 months! Seems the theme park was taking a huge chunk of their budget...
  24. Don't forget you need to stay in your house for more than 1 minute before the rock appears... Banking and such will reset the timer. The best way to do it is to simply alch or fletch arrows/bolts/darts near your portal. I can pretty much garantee that if you switch skill between rocks, both construction rocks will take less than 15 minutes total to gather.
  25. Looks more like a skiller with 1 def, but great progress and keep it up!
