Future Update Discussions
I really like some of the update teasers. I don't know how some of the areas will function, but I fairly curious about that orb with multiple objects orbiting closely. I have a feeling that will take us to the runespan. As for the summoned demon? Pretty much saw that coming... I just hope they don't follow the pure do-gooder attitude they usually do with quests. I would like to see them end it properly bridging off to another topic, issue or potential plot line. One would think learning more about the dark magics would help them later on to defeating future protagonists.

Tip.it Monster Weakness Database
I think lp values are a whole new grueling challenge. I posted this just to mostly help the community for the mean time. I think getting lp values is of no reason concern compared to sorting out a weakness table at the moment. Though I feel it is important, but not nearly as much as updating the database for weaknesses.

Does this excuse them for leaving in bugs that the community reported and/or posted about throughout the beta's five month run? You can't blame us for not doing enough when they flat out ignored a lot of our bug reports and constructive feedback. I spent a lot of my free time over the past five months trying to help them, given the results I'm not so eager to do so again. No it doesn't excuse them. But the question is do you honestly think that they think they themselves are excused? By the bug submission notice thread on the recent game updates forum on the RSOF I think that speaks for itself.

Tip.it Monster Weakness Database
Ok, so inevitably we have seen the release of the Evolution of Combat. Plenty of players are starting to feel the strain and hardships of pioneering a new era in runescape both in their pockets as well as their knowledge of the game. Normally Tip.it would have made efforts to make a database collection of new information. Maybe they have or maybe they have not. Regardless I think doing the community the best service is in creating a database so the site editors can pull from this information for later use. Before hunting or and submitting information please read the notes below: - Please exclude all dungeoneering monsters for the sake of this project. There are too many variants to be checked on and the overworld is much more important at the time. - All monsters have specific combat triangle weaknesses, but using the exact weakness is most effective at scoring a hit. With that said that is why you should say "magic (air)" or ranged (thrown) versus "magic" or "air". - Monster weaknesses are dependent on location. For example aberrant specters at the slayer tower are weak to thrown range weapons. While aberrant specters located at the smokey well are weak to arrows. Please keep this in mind and submit your locations as well. - If you desire to collect life point values for monsters then please include them as well. This would help ease the work load of the database crew. Name: Level: Life-points: Weakness: Location: Here are a couple examples: Name: Giant spider Level: 4 Weakness: Melee (Crush) Location: Edgeville Dungeon Name: Ghost Level: 36 Weakness: Ranged (thrown) Location: Edgeville Dungeon

If they didn't so nakedly screw things up with a total regard for the consequences, we might not have to waste our time saying the same shit over and over again. We already gave them PLENTY of constructive criticism, including the most important one: don't half-ass it and release the project if it isn't ready. Instead, they said "[bleep] it, we are going to do this no matter what!", and that's how we are where we are. You were one of the people who supported their decision to release it early, and now that it's gone less than stellar with regards to bugs, you're still in denial about the whole situation. Naturally it isn't very surprising. People didn't play the beta enough to give that feedback it needed so we essentially got what we deserved. They released it and in doing that they pretty much said, "fine, lets play hardball." Now we get to do harder work on our live accounts. And now this is where I tell you "suck it up Johnny." We got a lot of work to do so if you feel like helping, fine join in with everyone else. If you want to sit and pout then go sit in the corner and don't disturb the ones who are trying to do something to make it better.

Round and round we go in circles. We touch on one subject, kick it around, we succeed I finding our anger unjust, but justified. Only then do we run to another subject to kick that one around... After we are bored with that one we return to the one we just admitted defeat to and repeat the process. Honestly all of this arguing is getting old and pretty soon stale. We know there are issues. Jagex knows there are issues. We know there are bugs. Jagex knows there are bugs. REPORT THEM! We know there are something's off with the ergonomics in the new interfaces. Jagex always suspects this and awaits your feedback to streamline them. POST ABOUT THEM WITH *CONSTRUCTIVE* FEEDBACK! And this last tidbit to my post... The people running the fan sites very much know that the player base is out of the know for monster weaknesses and such. Ill be creating a thread asking the community to post every monsters weaknesses. This is something fan sites must do because there will always be a need for this much like our drop tables.

Here is another example which I'll try to further explain: Notes: - Abilities used are based for a duel wield meleer. - Basic, not basic class, abilities typically use 0.25 seconds testing the first 5 abilities in rotation. This means you should expect some minor discrepancies in timing despite perfect form. - CD means Cooldown [hotbar slot] Ability (type, cooldown): [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec) [2] Punish (basic, 5 sec) [3] Smite (basic, 10 sec) [4] Sever (basic, 30 sec) [5] Fury (threshold, 20 sec) [6] Destroy (threshold, 20 sec) [7] Fenzy (ultimate, 60 sec) [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec), 1/12 adr - 1 second cooldown (1 second elapsed) [2] Punish (basic, 5 sec), 1/6 adr - 1 second cooldown (2 seconds elapsed) [3] Smite (basic, 10 sec), 1/4 adr - 1 second cooldown (3 seconds elapsed) [4] Sever (basic, 30 sec), 1/3 adr - 1 second cooldown (4 seconds elapsed) [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec), 5/12 adr - 1 second cooldown (5 seconds elapsed) [2] Punish (basic, 5 sec), 1/2 adr - 1 second cooldown (6 seconds elapsed) {Able to use either [5] Fury (threshold, 20 sec), [6] Destroy (threshold, 20 sec)} [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec), 7/12 adr * [auto-retaliate: 1 second] (7 seconds elapsed) [3] Smite (basic, 10 sec), 2/3 adr - 1 second cooldown (8 seconds elapsed) [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec), 3/4 adr - 1 second cooldown (9 seconds elapsed) [2] Punish (basic, 5 sec), 5/6 adr - 1 second cooldown (10 seconds elapsed) [1] Slice (basic, 3 sec), 11/12 adr * [auto-retaliate: 2 second] (12 seconds elapsed) [3] Smite (basic, 10 sec), 2/3 adr - 1 second cooldown (8 seconds elapsed) {Able to use [7] Fenzy (ultimate, 60 sec)} End note: As you can see about 2/3 through the rotation I had to rely on a couple seconds of auto-retaliate damage. After some messing with the initial basic abilities I found that you generally couldn't escape the "time-waste" of auto-retaliate. In general this serves as a good rotation to learn from. I wish I could place within the elapse what abilities "popped (came off cooldown), but walking through the rotation, while practicing on a dummy, proved too much mental strain as it was.

Oh, god... SOOO funny. That is pretty much it. I think its about setting up a line of abilities that you know will constantly rotate (as far as general combat is concerned). You shouldn't have to worry if your waiting for something on cooldown. But the general idea is, for your minds sake, use the abilities for your gear set-up (one hand, two hand, duel-wield or defensive shield abilities) with the highest cooldown first. Now use the next highest cooldown, next highest, etc., etc. The point is that when an ability is used or "poped" it goes into cooldown. Your action bar, to further explain, should have cooldowns such as this, going from start to finish, 45 sec, 30 sec, 20 sec, 10 sec, etc. You then have a global cooldown of what - 1 second - and you hit the next ability. Here is an example: Don't get too confused on abilities because what jagex is doing, essentially, is trying to give you abilities that will be quite beneficial to events down the road. For example ricochet, a ranged ability, allows you to fire off an arrow and it will hit another nearby enemy for damage. This would probably be useful for corporal beast when he spawns the core on you. Now don't get all over me with technicalities, but thats pretty much the concept. Later on we should expect to see more abilities. Also we should expect to see bosses and players rushing to the frontier working on ideal rotations for certain situations such as my corporal beast example.

I have well enough cash to get ahrim's wand and book I just don't want to risk putting in a bid with greedy goobers running a muck. Because seeking any new nex gear on the GE might as well be like seeking something that doesn't exist at all. By the way master's wand and mage's book is the 3rd highest wand and book piece.

Next highly sought after gear: Ahrim's wand and book. I tried buying ahrim's wand on the GE for 5m, but wouldn't go. I'm assuming mass offers for the item are being made, but definitely the next highly sought after item since its the best "duel wield" option for magers.

Ok I said I'd have this posted, but here is my fourth hex: I also made up some of my max gear pictures. I decided to sell off by B-list items because it seemed a bit pointless keeping them. My whole reasoning for keeping them was in case i ended up dieing, but meh. Melee gear (I have offhand chaotic rapier, long and chaotic maul too): Ranged gear (I have offhand chaotic crossbow, no two-hand crossbow) Mage gear (I have farseer kiteshield and need ahrims wand, book) Pretty much anything better than what I got is dropped by nex. I still want to get ahrims wand, book and maybe royal crossbow? Oh and I got the best all class ring, amulet and gloves (onyx (i), amulet of fury, cullinaromancer gloves 10).

Lets stay on topic, but generally, the primary reason people buy floors is to afk. The secondary is not showing the will to meet community standards for dungeoneering (which is a bit elitist and harsh). Edit: no, you will add me. I help lead hex keyers and the floor selling fc community is bad enough in rivalry.
