  1. Celestial robe bottom tonight. Also found a spiritbloom robe top which I bound until I find the celestial robe top. Rocks reset for me tonight, but I should have my 6th rock tomorrow morning. After I get that I'll continue hunting for celestial robe top and maybe primal gauntlets. Then back to collecting rocks.
  2. I think it degrades completely.... because flakes are a drop from the highest level slayer monster and it requires 7500+ of them to fully repair a set. Also mind you they are about 260 gp each making the repair cost over 2m. Ball parking it of course. Also the surgebox stores something like 5k casts which is about 7m in runes if I remember correctly.
  3. Did a bunch of hunting for gear: currently I have: Bind pool: Primal two hand sword Primal platebody Primal platelegs Hex hunter bow Saggitair leathertop Saggitair chaps Celestial catalytic staff Currently hunting for celestial robe top and bottom. Not entirely too sure of what my tenth bind will be since ammo doesn't count. My loadouts will be: Primal two hand sword, primal platebody, celestial robe top, celestial robe bottom, celestial catalytic staff. This loadout will be used primarily for melee/mage hybriding necessary bosses such as dreadnaught, hope, etc, Primal two hand sword, primal platebody, saggitair leathertop, saggitair chaps and hex hunter bow. This set up is obviously a range heavy setup or bosses like geo, flesh, world gorger, kalger, etc. Primal two hand sword, primal platebody, primal platelegs, hex hunter bow, saggitair leathertop. This set up is melee heavy and geared towards your typical dunging experience. I should be able to do anything with this. Since I still have one more free bind I though binding a blood necklace or primal gauntlets would be ideal for switching out primal platelegs whe on suicide runs. Depending on the post-EOC experience that final bind may change. After I finish getting my robe pieces tonight ill be back at artisan workshop.
  4. I think someone already asked this, but is c6 small solo's good for hunting t11 gear now?
  5. Just when you thought the majority of fan site bestiaries were mostly useless or redundant information. Now we will probably be hinged on that information... Except for players with encyclopedic knowledge.
  6. 2h crossbow really worth it?
  7. Sounds like someone is expressing their disliking of c1 rushing floors. I don't mind though that they are beefing up solo c6 smalls to get people to actually play that content again.
  8. Tbh efficiency for slayer will take a bit of time. I would imagine someone like axemanjack redoing his list detailing neutral combat styles, weaknesses, strengths and attack styles.
  9. I remember early on in the beta release, maybe mentioned in one of the videos, a the reason for not letting us wield any weapon in any hand. I believe they stated it was too much effort for such a small thing so they created offhand weapons. I think that was somewhere in the video where they stated Excalibur would be made the abyssal whips designated offhand.
  10. I've not decided, but I have thought about leaving it for when the new skills come out. I'm aware jagex will probably keep all lamps and other boosts for helping with them for a few months. I figured I would just wait it out. And Mish, I'll just see what happens post-EOC. At the moment I'm looking to busy out artisan workshop and runespan. I'll be doing shattered hearts and fish flingers in between as weeklies.
  11. The irony of stocking 20 of them in my bank is immense. Especially since I am now maxed.
  12. Time to bump this bad lad up from page two... I need dedicated bumping done! So I finished the circus tonight, but messed up taking a picture and I'm too lazy to return to take one. Just thought I'd post an interesting link to a guide for people interested in doing some interesting things at an interested circus where strange and, oddly, interesting things happen... Quick Reference Guide: The Ultimate Circus Points Guide by Mattie9999 Oh and Jeremy EAT YOUR HEART OUT!
  13. It's not about legitimate reasons for quitting. You own your own beliefs. with that said no one can say your reasons for leaving are illigitimate. In general though the "I'm sick of hearing you whine" throwback is about hearing unconstructive feedback as to why they believe the game is now bad. what makes it worse is thesr comments are often ended in saying "I quit," "I unsubbed," "I pay I say," etc.
  14. That's why I suggested that purely melee, range or mage set ups might not actually be viable. But instead maybe hybrids would be a more viable option because ht every time you want to switch up is a bit of a time waste.
  15. With EOC having a much more lax combat triangle the ideal setup for binds should be covering all three; two armor and one weapon each with an ammo bind. Keep in mind from here on out I'm discussing post-EOC combat. One thing I feel people haven't adequately addressed is the overall difference between your typical dung setup and a suicide. With that said I think the only difference between the two might be the starting loadout. In my opinion an ideal 120 dung loadout on start would be: Primal two hand, primal platebody, primal platelegs, hex hunter bow (with arrows), saggitair leathertop. My reasoning would be that this loadout would cover two parts of the triangle leaving the third open for switching. I suppose maybe each loadout could be made to not play specifically to each combat role. Maybe you could have this: Melee/range hybrid: Primal two hand, primal platebody, primal legs, hex hunter bow, saggitair leathertop. Melee/mage hybrid: Primal two hand, primal platebody, primal legs, celestial robe top, celestial catalytic staff. Range/mage hybrid: Hex hunter bow, saggitair leathertop, saggitair chaps, celestial robe top, celestial catalytic staff. But what would differentiate when a suicider comes along? These are all just suggestions... With so much more play with binds the argument if what has the best effectiveness is kind of moot as long as you are using the highest tier pieces. Things like blood necklace and hex hunter bow are obviously choices made to increase damage output therefor might be forced in.
  16. This is a demonstrably false statement. Plenty of people are dissatisfied with the beta, they care that others who share their views be able to voice them. Jagex, cares to an extent: they wouldn't want to release something that's unpopular, would they? So there's definitely a "point" to this. It's just that you are far too immersed in your own views to be able to appreciate or even understand the sentiment or significance of the views of people who happen to disagree with you. I disagree in your statement. He has a valid point and it seems that every highly debated topic on runescape touches on this sub-topic. player opinions are often vague and not constructive to building a better game. The level of concern and value may be genuine, but often that level of concern is not adequately expressed in their comments and critiques. Jagex has often touched on this when asking for advise because way too many players only spend the time to type out 3-5 sentences.
  17. And that's true, to a degree. A bigger issue is whether you can find any MMO that doesn't draw elements from either other MMOs or other role-playing games. Didn't the genre evolve from electronic versions of pen-and-paper adventure/roleplaying games? Thats an entirely different battle.
  18. Ok, so said person's feelings are valid and his opinions are his and are technically not wrong. He feels eoc has ruined his experience as those, too , are his feelings so he has to deal with that. Yada yada done. The issue is he said runescape is like other MMO's.
  19. It's called adapting. Also they aren't "like" other MMO's. they carry similar yet distinct "concepts."
  20. CSB is leaving game in a week. Break it...
  21. People already whining how 120 dung is degraded by letting everyone bind 10 items. Um... Hello!? This means people who are 90+ will probably have a starting loadout of primal/prom 2h, primal/prom/sag top, primal/prom/sag legs and bn/hex/primal/prom/sag hat. This leaves 120 ding folks to just fill out more. I think the ideal pool would be this: 1. Primal two-hand sword 2. Primal platebody 3. Primal platelegs 4. Hex hunter bow 5. Saggitair leatherbody 6. Saggitair leatherskirt 7. Celestial catalytic staff (T11) 8. Celestial robe top 9. Celestial robe bottom 10. Saggitairian arrows I think the ideal starting loadout would be primal two-hand sword, primal platebody, hex hunter bow, saggitair body, saggitairian arrows.
  22. Which means that particular areas of skilling will recieve more attention when training. People will now have more reason to smith those javelins and thrown axes. Mind you they might be more inclined to use bolts all the time, but all options are much more viable than they ever were.
