  3. It's here... I'm prepared.
  4. Dam it i wanted to be on when this happened. Now I can legitimately tell jagex to [bleep] off! Damn...
  5. Sounds like your a mighty angry aussie. Thought you were sounding pretty optimistic there.
  6. Sold another hex for 50m just before work. I didn't want to split down the middle with the other keyer because I wanted more cash stack for ports. The guy offered 50m and I offered to split with the other guy something like 35m/15m. The guy had to sell off some stuff from his bank. I ended up taking 25m because it was running right up to my time to leave for work. I'll post a pic later. My new rule of thumb is when selling dung items, if there are multiple buyers, take the lowest offer. It might seem stupid because you might not get nearly as much. Generally the lowest offer is the humblest player. They are being truthful and their offer is the most genuine. Getting a rare spawn and even a drop is all chance. But selling it is a gamble because the player binding gets it anyways and can renig on his deal and log out. Figuring your odds smartly is best when looking at who's buying. Don't be fooled by the green eyed monster called greed.
  7. Is that the most ideal setup for DW dps?
  8. Been a while since I posted anything new... Well I finished my bind set-ups. Still got my tenth bind left for blood necklace or primal gauntlets. I was going to wait on posting these until I got three plans worth of respect, but here is two: Ceremonial sword plan I Ceremonial sword plan II About another 25% for the third. Also getting my sixth replica rock on the 23rd. Also been selling floors and here was a nice one (2s3l abd):
  9. Considering that the eastern lands will make an appearance in the games actual in game lore its got a fairly good shot at coming into the game. The wort case is that the players make gross assumptions on what the eastern lands are like. This will most likely be based on general information received from ports that isn't thoroughly explained or delved into.
  10. This is still Runescape 2.
  11. Their game... Their say. It all depends on how you conceptualize and integrate it, really. It would give a bit more depth to skilling.
  12. Ya weren't there two other races that the elder gods made to build the world? The tzhaar were made to build the land and another for the water and i'd guess one last one for the sky. I don't think so. Oddly though my conceptualization of runescape and the elder gods seems to be a twist between WoW's use of primal elements and the typical creationist lore of builder gods such as in Tolkiens work. I would fancy to think that the tzhaar, much like the dwarves from tolkiens lotr, which were created by a primal entity, to help form the mountains. This is proven true from our latest quest with the tzhaar. Since we cannot see into the whole of the tzhaar city and are a part of outside world maybe we are dealing with a conflict between the elder gods worldforming creations. Maybe the working forces, created by the elder gods, of the waterways are trying to plow though the core of the volcano heating the tzhaar city. Maybe these being s are a bit heady and aggressive like the flowing, gushing watery counterparts. With that said maybe later we'll see the expansion of lore and meaning behind the lrc. Maybe they too have a city and are one of the lesser world forming entities which, possibly, were created by a different elder god.
  13. Its been a while for me, but its generally how accurate you hit with the weapon. Honestly I could see Jagex using their basic concepts, but in the end it would be its own entity with its own unique form and fuction. I mean I could go on... Small net, big net, harpoon, cage, barehanded fishing skilling efficiencies. In order for jagex to do this kind of concept some justice I feel they might need to look into more than just a novelty. I mean something bigger than just naming an item "Urza285's dragon pickaxe." I really do feel they could get people to train more diversely. Imagine being required to have say 80 fishing for a new product. A cage proficiency of 7 or lower would make fishing this new product not worth obtaining to most. Sure at 40 fishing you could do lobsters, but didn't want to in favor of catching bass. Because of this now you can't fish this new product because, in essence, you don't know how to handle using a cage well. I suppose item proficiency could kind of be like a balancing act between how much "knowledge" you have in fishing and how efficient you are with a certain tool. So, to create a solid concept for the idea, jagex could make fishing unlock new items like usual and increase rates of production. Also, as a bonus, having a proficiency in an item's use could even further this.
  14. I think Jagex has many different avenues to go down with leveling up items. As it stands a good amount of the skills, as you level them, increase your proficiency to complete tasks. Good examples of this are hunter, mining, woodcutting and farming. With that said jagex could go an easy route of sticking with basic item style proficiencies much like WoW. Yeah, sure queue the stereotypical semi-WoW sentiments, but proficiency as a skill to level is an actual great idea to diversify training as actually diversify methods of gaining xp. Jagex could actually go the route of picking the higher proficiency/level in favor of leveling up your hatchet, pickaxe, secateurs, trap-setting, etc. Imagine what we are seeing in dungeoneering with the class rings. We could potentially see something like this attached to our items. Where item proficiency is made into numbers. So far what I've mulled over was something fairly simple. What about some of the harder things such as weapons? We have so many types, and each one could be assigned something similar to the ring of kinsmanship. Now in my opinion, and most probably don't care for it, this could actually be that little extra niche for those who feel slightly dedicated to one weapon type or another. What about creating buff or abilities that are dependent on item proficiency. Suppose you're using a spear class weapon, which is a two handed item. You could activate a 5 minute buffing ability that gives you a 10% chance to parry an attack and a 5% chance to deal retaliation damage similar to vengeance.
  15. I think I am fairly pleased with the conclusion of the tzhaar storyline. I am hoping it brings another story line in or splices into another. I got some ideas where jagex could go with this one...
  16. I think in dg the focus will be more on sacrificing some of your offense for defense at the moment. With the addition of more binds you could potentially bind a shield. And to further answer your question during a live stream I believe mod mark mentioned that duel wielding would eventually come to dg, but not until later.
  17. In the video i think someone asked what would be the highest level required for the content. In a bid to give an appealing answer, but hide details they gave an answer for the lowest level. Edit: it just occurred to me that MTK is all gathering skills. I got a feeling that ports will be all about production skills and also giving recipes for new things in said skills. So start thinking high level content for construction, smithing, fletching, herblore, etc.
  18. Now all they need to do is to make 91+ a reasonable goal for most skills, and they're set. 6.5m xp is nothing really. It's all about perspective and that comes from actual game experience not numbers.
  19. If you listened in on their live chat they said ports will require at least level 91.
  20. You should look more closely at what I was talking about iridium. That wasn't what I was talking about.
  21. They posted a sticky saying effigies, gano and chaotics are dropped under the grave to prevent lost charges.
  22. Was there a video already for the the Ariane quests? I mean I know EOC is the next update, but its so damn forthcoming with information that any slight towards a spoiler would be laughable for this piece of content. Edit: Oh I see there was a new video posted! Yes, very interested indeed! I wouldn't mind pledging my allegiance to one of the four gods. Maybe zamorak? I'm such a fan of zaros and bandos though.
  23. From the front page banner display both the emote and staff don't look bad.
  24. On the contrary, I have a suspicion that they are doing such massive discounts because they are planning on shifting all the loyalty shop content over to Solomon's store. It's rather cynical to think so, but they haven't updated it in months and Solomon's store has pretty much replaced it with the exception of aura's. Either the shop was a primer to get us ready for the likes of Solomon or they thought it would have a bigger impact on membership than it did. Either way, it is obsolete, and there is no reason to devote time to it, when it wont make them any money. However, my hope is that the shop will be preserved, even if it is duplicated within Solomon entirely. And I don't think the bank boosters are coming. It sounded like they were doing it on their lunch break, and someone probably told them they couldn't, or the person who was going to code it got moved. Or they could just be waiting until everyone gives up and actually buys them, in which case hold out for like another 6-9 months I figure. The bank boosters 'are' coming, they're just saving them. They decided to 'completely overhaul' the Loyalty system, and were saving the Bankboosters update until they released the overhaul. You deserve a cookie. Simply because you managed to get the facts straight while not spewing an once of nay-sayer theory. Also I have proven that there is another player who reads the new posts! This is groundbreaking theory here guys!
  25. Anyone got a picture of any of these? the last couple were actually great concepts, but this one doesn't sound too promising.
