First picture has to be the Burthorpe graphical rework, 2nd is another Darkmeyer picture and third... well, I don't know.

I realized that as well! Oh and I saw a picture someone posted on the rs wiki. They got a screenshot of all of the signature heros all on the 2nd level of the legends guild. Which if you ask me sounds like they'll play a roll in the branches of darkmeyer quest.

Great graphical works, but in reality we got shafted on content. Though I am smelting at edgeville so I have quite a bit of times to enjoy this and let it sink in. The best part of the update has to be the look of The Raptor. On this same note I wish Jagex got it in their heads that players have been begging for ages to get a weildable tower shield.

So far The Raptor talks about how you killed the Balance Elemental, Nezikchened, Nomad, Pest Queen, Elvarg, The Inadequacy, and cleared the Temple of Light. Thats all he talks about and he belittles you.

So on the upside we are most likely getting a new bow and staff from the new quest.

That's a crazy assumption you have going on there. Truth is, I have done everything on that list. I've killed all the bosses, played all the minigames, got all the usefull rewards, done all the quests. And truth is,content coming out this and for a good part of the last year, just wasn't up to standart with old content. Its only lasting appeal is mindless grinding, and often for fruitless rewards. The introduction of timed content (weekly, monthly, even anual like the Hati wolf) is a cancer that is spreading too fast. If I pay for a month, I should be able to access the content whenever I want to, and do it however many times I wish to. The introduction of repetitive grinding like the artisan's workshop and the livid farm, which only add "fake" longevity to the game. Much like these new clan citadels; You grind away for purely cosmetic rewards, and a ring that's barely worth the effort. How much time do you reckon they worked on this? I get what you mean as in 'fake.' such things that you mention are grindfests and lack variation or what I might refer to 'eye-popping' content that keeps you focused. I remember doing livid farm somewhat mindlessly while using my peripheral vision to look and sense the slightest changes for when the plots changed. As for the artisan workshop qell... I havent seen the artisan workshop yet, but from the types on things offered it seems like it has quite a bit of variation.

Not true. If I wasn't short on content, I'd be playing right now. The quests lately have been short and fruitless, the D&Ds are only done weekly/monthly or not worth doing at all. The last skill updates have been nothing but mindless grinding (Livid farm, lava mining). The last real update we had was the jadinko lair, and before that I can't even remember. There is plenty of content you could do; http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=activities.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=skill_guides.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2quest http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=general_guides.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=treasure_trails_menu.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=monster_hunting.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=tasks.htm http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=guild_guides.htm And much more that isn't listed there. Just because you choose not to do content because you're lazy or uninterested, it doesn't mean Runescape doesn't have enough content. Touché! Although the guy does have a point from his own interests.

On another note I am almost tempted to try and write a tip.it article about players who have finished the game in their own perspective and the effect is has on their game play and opinions later on down the road.

How good content is often dependent on personal opinion and expressing a completely unbiased overview of new content is impossible. On to a different aspect of this conversation... You probably are part of an entirely different group, one that I am in, that has played the game so long and seen so much (at least, to some, the content that truly matters to our version of fully exploring the game play we desire) that keeping us entertained is near impossible (will the exception of a skill release, but even then our cynical attitudes would probably degrade the real value of it's purpose). I have my cynical moments, but I rarely express them.

Behind the Scenes - August
Do they mean a holiday as in a holiday or a holiday as in a break? You say that as if there is a difference. All holidays are a break from something. Anyway what does it matter, its just typical jagex humour based around people usually summer holiday in august and theres SOOOOOO much good stuff in august bts clearly no rser would have time to go on holiday cause theyll be so busy checking it all out. That was trollish in my opinion. I've noted that most people in work terms refer to holiday as a break. Also Jagex has been known to make attempts to represent barious cultural holidays, but not express them outright in their BTS'. I honestly wouldn't put it past them to sneak a hint of one of these types of holidays into the BTS. How on earth is it remotely trollish to explain the meaning i see behind the statement? Don't worry about it. If I continue the coversation on this it might just get deeper. Let's just say the problem with forums is that its hard to infer the meaning of things because I can only gleam so much through context and there is no inflection either.

I wouldn't be surprised if the mini-game updates are spread across the month to give them all play time. So perhaps warrior guild games are gonna get a vamp this week This is actually a good idea. Don't mind what I'm going to say next, but it fits jagexs typical behavior. Instead of doing them all in one update they might do them in batches that way select areas get bombarded with player activity. More of a "bang for your buck" technique. I remember wen jagex released fletching and herblore at once (at least I think thy did). I miss when they used to release huge updates like that.

I don't think just that armor. It's going to be all of the minigame stuff they've been working on.

The signature heros in recent quests thus far have been pretty much acting as the 'poster children' for the combat triangle. If I had to put together the signature heros popping up in the warriors guild and any of the upcoming game content it would almost be fairly obvious that this picture hints at the release of the hybrid armors coming out this month. And to further speculate I think that these armors are probably obtained in similar fashion as the agile clothing. Maybe we have to do so many successful runs of each warrior guild minigame to claim the pieces.

I wish jagex released a f2p quest that starts in a members area to spite them outright and in a very blatant way. I know I am trolling, but honestly keeping my silence when seeing 'starved' players has been getting to me. On another northern if you quest, even for the rewards, give the storyline and the world itself surrounding it this bare minimum respect it deserves. I understand jagex releases a lot of shallow content (even when it's not intended and is announces as grandiosely as the citadels and dungeoneering), but too many times have I seen players downplay content because it's not as useful of a 'tool' as they need to get by. So many players look at content from a tool perspective whether it be to train a skill easier, get level boosting xp or an advantage over the masses.

Crafting advice
Battle staves are about 8650 each. Water orbs are 650 each. You lose at most 300 gp per. I rounded to the nearest 50 gp because prices do tend to fluctuate a bit.

I don't mind efficiency, but I think everyone draws a personal line where efficiency turns into major cash loss. It's a rough subject in my books, but I tend to do things such as for example gold ore from 96 to 99 because I only lose 7m gp and had I not done battlestaves for crafting I might have saved a good hunk of those bars to make jeweled rings. I'm wierd like that...

Those spreadsheets update regularly right? I'm kinda digging the daily one you just posted.

Lol hah... Assisting to 99 as a supplement was what I was hoping to do. That would save me 900k a day if I planned on doing overloads most of the way.

If you do battlestaves do water because the orbs are a frequent waterfiend drop.

Doing MTK seems interesting. I've done it several times before.
