Barrows armour do not degrade if you take environment damage (desert, obstacles.) Non corrupt pvp armour ONLY degrades when you initiate combat. Corrupt starts degrading as soon as you wear it. (It however has like a 20 second grace period for accidental equips.) Only random event that would [bleep] you up is Freaky forester. You have to kill something without the use of your inventory, which degrades pvp stuff. It's either that or wait 24 hours.

You do know saradomin brews raises 15% of your HP? ...Guess what 15% of 10 is.

I just had my first encounter with Waterfiends (as a Slayer task) and used these. They do third best crush damage in the game (leaving out the hour-degrade and Stealing Creation items) and they're faster than mauls, warhammers or battleaxes. And they're under 100k. Ancient staff+Rune defender>everything except SS+GS+ZS.

Except it's actually worth something, and you would want it protected over something else.

You are comparing 2 completely DIFFERENT situations. Bluerose's time was demand was for real and the supply is almost nonexistent, because only SHE can make those rune items. She didn't limit the supply so the demand would go up from the lowered supply. In fact, she CAN'T lower the supply, only stop smithing them or make more of them, both would not be a good idea, if she stopped, more people would achieve 99 smithing, if she did the second, the price would fall. Manipulator clans buy out certain items, and create a false demand by limiting the supply, this upsets the equilibrium of supply and demand, and rips off the buyers, and makes the market unstable.

But I am looking for something other than speed, a change in speed can overpower the weapons if changed incorrectly. The reason why I left the accuracy of the warhammer the same, it is because it is the most accurate. Even the 2H sword is inferior to the warhammer in that attack style. The reason why I gave the longsword a bigger boost in strength is because it will be obsolete if it is left as it is. The small metal tip on the top isn't going to be heavy either. Spears ARE onehanded weapons, for god's sake. Jagex got it mixed up with PIKES. Pikes = long, twohanded spears, usually above 2m long. At that point the wood becomes too heavy to be used efficiently with one hand, so it becomes a 2handed weapon. Spears are long sticks (but below 2m or so) that are 1handed and used in conjunction with a shield. YEAH HEY HISTORICAL, I CAN EAT 20 SHARKS IN 10 SECONDS WITHOUT ANY CONSEQUENCES, AND IT HAPPENS TO BE HEALTHY LOL.
