  1. 1. Melee pray not required. Strength prayers are useful. 2. Chaos Tunnels with a bunyip, and a few pieces of food. It is empty most of the time. Plus you can go kill Bork after you're done. I did need quite a bit of food to finish a long (~180+) task with a combat familiar out, even with maxed melee stats - using a defender instead of a shield, and letting Death Spawns beat on me might have played a part though. 3. Ignore the Death Spawns. Be aware that it is harder to 'outrun' them in the CT than in the Slayer Tower. Bring an extra bunyip pouch too. If you're worried about taking too much damage, bring Super Defence pots.
  2. I doubt that they will drop back to the old 2.3k price point, seeing the recent influx of cash. It'd be interesting to see what the new price point for d-bones is.
  3. 99 Slayer 99 Summoning (with charms from slayer) 99 Prayer (funded by SGS once I achieve 99 Slayer) Build up a stockpile of SC points for training Construction later And maybe do some quests :wall:
  4. if you use the best tea and a crystal saw, the guilded altar can be built with 69 construction.
  5. The 'mood' artwork somehow reminds me of Zangarmarsh, probably because of the color and lighting of the environment. And those glowing mushrooms/fungi in the foreground..... déjà vu Looking forward to the update though
  6. Interesting, I would have thought that a GS would be superior with piety and void; apparently not. I did some preliminary tests yesterday using Z-spear/Void/10 or 15% Strength Prayer. Obtained around 84 crimsons/hr, which isn't too far off the 88 crimsons/hr when using an SGS. Seems that there is less than a 10% variance in crimsons/hr using either weapon, with or without piety. [Numbers were scaled to 60mins from crimsons obtained within the 54min lifespan of a unicorn familiar] Guess I'll unlock Piety later this week, do a few trips and crunch some numbers, and post the results when I get them. BTW, any thoughts on using Piety only after freshly potting (say till ~112), then switching to 15% strength until repotting at 108, just to optimize the usage of prayer pots? I don't intend to Dharok, haven't needed to even flick on protection prayers in my last 5 waterfiend trips using void, and would gladly pay a measly 10k for 10 more crimsons per trip :D
  7. Which would give more crimsons charms per hour? Have maxed melee stats, will be using super attacks and strengths (repotting at 108), and can survive without protection prayers when using a unicorn. SGS, Melee Void, Piety or Z-spear, Melee Void, Piety (w/ SGS Specs) Currently get around 75 crimsons/hr with SGS/Void/No prayer, and around 88 crimsons/hr using SGS/Void/10 or 15% strength prayer. I haven't unlocked Piety yet, but would like to get a feel for the improvements when Piety is used. Thanks!
  8. There are better ways to train magic now than Camelot Teleport.
  9. I use the rift slightly east of SC.
  10. There's a separate chat screen if you try to wield the spawned whip after picking up the abyssal minion:
  11. Ended up buying the pet - the 'free whip' part is simply hilarious  Now to head to the slayer tower and see how many people try to kill it heh.
  12. 612k magic xp or an Abyssal Minion :ohnoes:
  13. Smithing a Dragon Platebody gives 1000xp at Lvl 92.
  14. To start off, it's Phoenix, not Pheonix
