if they're going to do this, they need to have polls more often, and shorter, because otherwise it'll take forever to get on with a decision if the ball tossing takes a month to finish

Missing, Presumed Death
But that also brings the question what mortal can use ONLY the stone and end up doing that? And don't say the player, thats some bs. The reasons why the gods want the stone so much is because they already have power more than the power you had when you used the stone. while it might be bullshit that the player would be the one to use the stone for that, it's also bullshit that all the players were pure enough to take the wand of ressurection, so take your pick of the shit litter

Missing, Presumed Death
the stone actually represents a shitload of power, since somebody in the quest stated that it had the potential to banish the gods again, like guthix did i'm going to be optimistic and say that this act would also end up sealing off the stone of jas forever when it is used for this purpose

Missing, Presumed Death
I think the Godless probably have the best chance of claiming the stone/stopping Sliske because they're committed to their cause enough to not get caught up in the massive dick waving fight all the other gods are gonna be pulled into, plus they're probably more suited for the kind of fighting Sliske engages in (seriously, all of the other factions are missing the point and the only other group which would have a chance is the temple knights, although they might be tied up with the dragonkin). However, their resources are low, so whatever they do have is going to have to be leveraged stronger than Sliske is doing with his resources in order to succeed. I'm still going to take the easy way out and shack up with Sliske until further details present themselves. we kicked this off with killing Guthix, possibly the most popular god next to Zaros now is the time for action as for time, it will be measured in events, not real time, although the last event may make use of a doomsday clock, haha "dawn of the final day, 24 hours remain"

Missing, Presumed Death
yeah, that's kind of stupid also, if you don't sign up with the zamorak emissary but supported him in the BoL, kril still treats you with his usual charisma, but will acknowledge that you did help them out (to the above post, the option for zaros IS THERE if you sided with them during TWW, it is actually specifically labeled with that quest if you have the option available, plus zaros actually shows a sign of acknowledgement if you choose to side with him at that very moment) (i chose to side with sliske anyway because i'm taking the easy bet that runescape's player population is too dumb to actually rally enough power in a productive manner, and because it would make it really, really easy to get close enough to him to actually do something about it)

Missing, Presumed Death
it almost feels like zaros only exists as a figure that other people seem to place their hate or loyalty upon and i mean literally only exists because of it, to the point where my question is if his power is primarily based on the acknowledgement of his existence, which would explain a lot like why you see him flickering in the room when you pledge your allegiance to him, and why it was so easy to persuade the mahjarrat to follow him (when he represents a major portion of their motivation), and why zamorak is so goddamned freaked out about him that he doesn't even want to mention his name, and why everybody attempted to purge his influence so strongly when he was gone, and why all of his gear didn't bear his name up until it became impossible to deny the existence of his followers, and their regained strength it's entirely possible that zaros was stronger than the other gods because they were feeding him with their attention and it's impossible to defeat somebody who gets stronger the more you rely on what he represents, similar to the stone of jas and the dragonkin although if that's the case, perhaps sliske has other OTHER plans, ones that take that into account however, if sliske is truly a god, then he would be fueled by mistrust and deceit, which is exactly what he's introducing into everything, and all of this leading up into the eclipse would basically give him a massive level of power, as the shadow realm crosses into ours, and the hearts of all are bathed in darkness (a bit overdramatic isn't it) it's beginning to look like runescape's gonna be [bleep]ed up pretty bad, and the only ways to stop it is if a god becomes strong enough to oppose sliske (unlikely since the more fighting that gods participate in, the stronger sliske's going to get in relative influence regardless of his current ability), or zaros regains enough strength to retake his reins, or the godless manage to take control of the stone of jas (enabling them to banish everybody, as covertly slipped into the quest dialogue), or a really, really unlikely turn of events allows all of the gods to band together to prevent sliske from winning and remain in a truce that allows them to stay in gielinor without trying to [bleep] each others shit up

if this vote is as much a lie as the old school runescape vote, i invite all of my friends to hate me again now and get it over with as soon as possible, because frankly that's all these votes are good for...stirring up trouble

Missing, Presumed Death
i imagine that he didn't capture all of the dragonkin cause it was only entertaining the first time i think that making the quest publicly available was key to demonstrating an event happening in basically real time, however you do miss out on a lot if you did not resolve those other quests...however, they might just be altered to be represented as past events as opposed to current ones

Missing, Presumed Death
It could end in basically two ways if Sliske "wins" by his terms: - Sliske kills the remaining gods and claims the stone for himself, AND he takes all of them as his wights. GOD wights. From here, he either becomes a god and is best friends with Zaros, or he will claim Zaros with his own power. - Sliske is trying to kill as many gods as possible, and is going to use the eclipse to bring Zaros back, with the world on a silver platter, either by default, or making it super easy for Zaros to win. This is assuming that his goals are actually linear, and he's not [bleep]ing insane.

it's likely that the upcoming barrows rework (as suggested is happening by the death statue) will allow you to earn more charges

I get the impression that the next block of content that was planned for ports was going to involve her in some fashion

Evolution of PVP combat!
so, maybe like another god wars type staging area, where people from different factions can earn points for carrying out missions in the wilderness, and other people can hunt them for points themselves? basically, a more specific kind of soul wars/stealing creation kind of thing, except that the event is 24/7, and anybody can jump in at any time there is no loss of gear, but whoever dies in a confrontation gets sent back to their camp and does not score any points these points are used to purchase rewards in a shop

the game knocks you down to the cap at rollover, if necessary, and that is the only time it is applied

it seems like an easy out though, because exp rates at 99 are usually significantly higher than at 1

small issue, OP...could you maybe stick some indentation like it was in the original article? thanks. anything with the potential to uncover balance issues is okay in my book should probably invest in some bones now before they get flippin bought out again Too bad for you if they make it a trim requirement :P I would *love* to see at least second prestige be a Trim requirement. Then at least it would be a cape of true completion, and not just the AFK Castlewars cape. adding more requirements to an annoying, pointless cape trimming milestone does not make it less annoying or pointless "oh boy, now with the new prestige system, i totally don't regret having to spend every waking moment in castle wars"

Daemonheim Task Set- 10/9/13
while i was annoyed at having to replay a saga in order for the game to actually acknowledge that i had cleared them all, it was fun to experience thok's rage again, which apparently classify his fists as a two handed weapon rather than dual wielding probably don't want to think about what he does when he uses the bleeding stab with his fingers

Birthright of the Dwarves- 2nd October 2013
single dwarf that may have been, but when the door's locked on the other side, it's not like it's a simple matter of blowing up a door made by dwarven hands also, the death/removal of veldaban won't actually be important unless they actually decide to implement keldagrim in any future content, which doesn't seem likely since nobody's heard from either dorgeshuun or zanik after their final quest, even though zanik is the most likely character to show up in the godless faction this quest was put off for so long, i doubt the higher ups will want to waste any further significant time on keldagrim until they've released all the other planned fancy content related cash store merchandise first

eh, anybody dying in this quest is of no consequence besides what the "threat" of the red axe was supposed to be

Future Update Discussions
considering how complex their models are getting now, i think it wouldn't hurt to make some precise adjustments to what is really a huge part of the game

Future Update Discussions
yeah, i'd prefer skillcapes that didn't have a large, obviously made with a computer design stamped to the back of the cape, even if they had any idea how to properly design it, and if it didn't have any nagging issues with transparency and edges it'd fit the fantasy theme more appropriately if the capes looked like they were meant to be worn by masters and not mascots

Birthright of the Dwarves- 2nd October 2013
i found some luck using royal cbow on him since it has more consistent damage flow than a staff (key to disrupting the heals) but i wouldn't recommend melee unless you have drygores since you're gonna have to chase down the cannoneer and you don't want both that and him firing at you at the same time
-
Birthright of the Dwarves- 2nd October 2013
well, yes and no i think it's intentional that you can stand behind the pillars to avoid the magic attacks, but the nature of the fight means that they'll try to do their damn best to flush you out, since the melee guy is coded to move around obstacles while the magic guy gets caught on things like a normal enemy while the prompts need way better telegraphing, the concept in of itself isn't terrible, and if you feel that it's too hard, it's most likely because the quest was somewhat difficult to follow as far as tension escalation goes, and there was too little to go on in order to actually express that this is supposed to be a grandmaster quest

alternatively, just go down the stairs, and wait it out while laughing and pointing at him (their hp doesn't reset)
