  1. pff, i've made a sharktooth necklace, i'm not gonna let common sense get in the way of my goals
  2. I've handwaved all of the previous depictions of gods the same way Jagex does: they explain that gods can choose their forms, so over time, they have had many forms, and even then, other people choose to depict them the way they think they look, so it's all relative. as for trashing the place you do realize that zamorak could easily rationalize that everybody mostly participated in the event for the rewards? he would say that provided a tangible benefit, even as it took from others, and that's his philosophy, right he would even go as far as saying all of those builders who were involved with the reconstruction, and the players who were gathering those materials, all wouldn't have had anything to do if that fight didn't happen also, some people would say that having a tiny volcano in the middle of that valley is actually kinda cool this kind of thinking is difficult for a lot of people, though
  3. currently, all you can really do is: - have a lot of adventurers - have a merchant for every ship - split your four totems into two raw material blocks, and two scroll blocks - save your fortunes of the sea for the ending story voyages also, you'll want to save up for your 10k captains, who will put some pretty dope stats on your ships, and if for some mercy of providence, they don't come with preloaded traits, fill up on the percentage based boosters, they mean more at the high end than the static boosts (for monotype ships, anyway) for the triple stat voyages, horsehead and oxface are a thing you should get
  4. eh, when they get to the update, it'll be back anyway you'll ALLLLL BE BACK hahahahahaha
  5. yep, and it has a bunch of other things you can also get, which happen as you progress into the activity, with varying uses, and in the middle of it, all of these silly things to play with that don't necessarily impact progress besides your chance of success, but they're all in of themselves engrossing gee, it's almost like they designed it like something i'd rather be doing instead of a skill or a thousand fruitless fights with the same opponent, which is probably why jagex had to act like they hated it irrationally in order to appease their invisible boss, like flash powder factory and bandos throne room
  6. once again, if gear is the end instead of the means, then we're losing the entire point of having gear if you're going to keep defending that belief, we don't really have to discuss anything else
  7. anyway, i'm glad that people think that the way jagex content works is one single file line in a hallway that only accommodates a one person width, meaning that every morning they just cram in there in the order they got to work, and slowly push through to the end, where everybody comes out as neatly packaged tins of content the thoughts that people share daily on this thread only serve to increase my opinion of them, to the point where i'm so proud that i don't even say anything when i read them
  8. I think it's hilarious that after everything we've been through, people draw the line at magical horselike pets frankly, since the veteran cape, i have not put much stock in the players' collective fashion sense
  9. they couldn't decide on what kind of horse to put in, so they just mashed all the horses together
  10. yeah, it's good, but it's not complete will do for now, though
  11. if you've ever bothered to pay attention, mod moltare is wearing a pony shirt or has a pony figurine in most, if not all of the videos he's shown up in
  12. The Naragi homeworld isn't on Gielinor so it can't be a divination location Unless there are remnants of the gods who died there like Skargoroth. the place is from your memories, so it's not even real anyway (although confusingly, everybody else is also visible, so it's the public version) the text has been slightly changed to reflect the context in your own head, and there's a tiny feels moment at the end of the path you can't remove the actual button, on the actual hotbar
  13. yeah, now the only thing that can really happen is if you happen to accidentally press the button on the hotbar but y'know murphy's law
  14. since they already had the stupid flakes thing going on with ganodermic (what with the armor pretty much costing the same to repair as it was to buy) i don't see why they can't also do that for the 90 armors too, since it's basically the same damn thing, it's just a lot easier for people to do that than to deal with an armor that has like, one percent duration left also, assuming that jagex is dumb and they've made every item traded in the ge equally relevant to a price shift as any other item regardless of the volume of money involved, the fact that those items will be split into 120 shards alone will cause more price readjustment to occur than if we kept them as just whole items, plus any price shift in the shards will change the whole item's price in multiples of 120
  15. the casino would have been technically fine if bonds didn't actually exist although I'm not sure if we're properly equipped to address the issue of attempting to, y'know, FIX HUMANITY, with a game that wasn't even optimized to not encourage this kind of activity to begin with, much less one that would be created today, since even those struggle with having a system that stops incentivizing it while being fun frankly, this is about as healthy as we're going to get without full nanny state, or ending the game now while people still have a chance to not become terrible people
  16. wasn't the ape vs cabbage thing described as a minigame? something going on that isn't actually part of the larger conflict, since they're sort of still on training wheels and whatnot
  17. since the construction is over, you can't get any more of the exclusive rewards, but you can still bulldoze the rest of the zamorak camp for more minerals. i mean, materials. also, points. i think.
  18. oh yeah.... good thing i used zamorak as a pawn for fashion
  19. i don't think it'll be a massive advantage besides the fact that the runefest accounts didn't need to run back to their graves 20 times, thereby facilitating many, many pointless deaths
  20. it just seems like we're mistaking the means for the end i'd rather there be a reason to have level 90 weapons, and make that the crazy thing that few people can obtain with a lot of work, rather than have a ton of level 90+ people, and make the weapon the actual reason for having a weapon, when it should just be the entrypoint into the endgame itself
  21. yeah, i can't imagine them giving away 7 troll tokens
  22. by that argument, people who PvM shouldn't even be able to get any of the best skilling equipment and skilling sourced items available without investing months past 99 in getting them, because they clearly don't deserve those things otherwise I mean, it would be RIDICULOUS if something like say, the best hatchets and pickaxes were only available through monster drops (although this may become true in the future, given the previews)
  23. also, i'm pretty sure that PvM will still be the source of large piles of resources and money, much to the chagrin of people who actually bother to collect resources by locating and harvesting them, instead of being able to kill everything all the way to 99 without actually having to do much of anything else while being able to access the majority of any kind of item in the world and then using money to solve everything else the concept of being able to make great things by your own hands rather than taking it from other people is a foreign concept in runescape i guess
  24. I'm just glad Random Battlefield Planks are mostly gone. Somebody could have tripped on those!
  25. see, i told you gods could die again anyway, hopefully whatever they screw up won't be that important
