So, this sounds strangely like the original pking system. Oh yeah, it is, except without caps on what levels you can battle.

2^32 is 4294967296. You're doing 2^34. And as they have all said, its just how it caps it out. I don't see why it isnt capped at 4.3 bil instead of 2.1. Being as nothing in Runescape goes negative, theres no reason to have a set of negative values as it does now. Cause usually when its 2^15 or 2^31 thats cause it has a set of negative numbers as well.

At the beginning there was no duel. Then wilderness came along. Then duel was added so people could duel anywhere. Then duel arena. Nowadays, it's too easy to mass kill people, imagine an Ancient Mage... Besides, bank's were always safespots. Furthermore, the guards would attack those who were fighting, course, that's useless now.

yea rofl...when I started, in order to mine, you sat next to the coal rocks and clicked as fast as you could on them repeatidly (I used a technique of locking my fingers and trying to move them which makes your fingers spasm and lets you click real fast...but it makes it painful to mine for real long)...fortunately now you simply mine until you get the ore (my poor rsc abused hands :( ). You think that was bad? Before you had to click on the pick and then click on the coal rock. Every time. 2 clicks every time, and every 20 clicks or so you have a chance to get an ore.

It's a pity most of them are poor merchants and only warp prices to the detriment of everyone.

Furthermore, runescape was quite fine without the tutorial island. Jagex also created an entire manual for everything just as the previous poster said. Member are meant to be experienced and be able to use some common sense and so some fact finding. Jagex has tried to simplify the game enough.

I once asked someone the question for the strength one. But if you try it, it doesn't work that way for strength. Plug in some extreme numbers, and you'll see.

Uh, why would you want full screen RS? I personally prefer the window format so I can multitask.

censoring the word noob (and other words) discussion
Xaga replied to Willsellanything's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
But that's where Jagex needs to do some of their own research. Newb is not the same as Noob. We were all a newb, only some of us are noobs. -
I'm not sure anyone is fully reading his post. Although there are some things like quests which shouldn't be purchasable, nor should special attacks, the ideas about additional apperance options are plausible. I find it ridiculous that people are flaming this guy when he has never said you can purchase experience. Please read.

Skill Room-Having a personal anything would be bad for how the game works. This gives high level construction a massive advantage to not have to compete for resources. A fishing patch wouldn't make much of a difference, cause that's a hard resource anyway. A personal magic tree? A personal rune rock? Those may cause problems. Pet Room-That sounds like a remarkably good idea, with use of pets, there really should be a place to show them off and let them be. Store Room-Player owned Shops, this has been suggested many times, and many thought it would be packaged with construction. This is quite a bit of programming to do however. I think it'd be a good iea, but it might not be plausible. Farm Animal Room-This is implementable and not abusable, but I'm not sure how much support you will get. Armory Room-Don't they already let you set up armors to show off? Besides, if the store room is created, then you could just put it all in the store and have ridiculously high prices. More Rooms-If they did this, they would probably have a massive gp fee.

There is no coal in steel perhaps, but there is certainly carbon from coke. I've always assumed that the carbon comes from the coal but perhaps there is an infinite supply of coke? Though in this case we are smelting steel so we are simply mixing iron with carbon, somehow precisely enough to make steel. It's magic I tell you. I can actually buy the arguement that basically any metal that requires coal would be highly unstable to reforge. If you think about it, assuming that each of the coal using metals uses the carbon from the coal, when you reheat it, you easily burn the carbon, therefore rendering the metal quite useless. Where as with gold, silver, iron, and bronze, the process would not burn up any of the carbon. Perhaps the higher level metals have a less chance. The chance to reforge an armor or weapon into a molten form to reform into a bar would be 1/2^n where n is the amount of coal. This calculation would run separately for each bar in the weapon or armor, so a rune plate would have 1/256 chance 5 times. Then even with the molten metal, you would have to reform it into a bar using multiple ones simply because the mechamisms are imperfect and metal would be wasted. I think that either 6 molten chunks or 8 molten chunks is a good number to use as this would only increase exp potential by 20% and 12.5% respectively. By giving even gold, silver, iron, and bronze a 1/2 chance to reforge into molten metal, this could actually be plausible. Despite my original opposition, with some good tweaking, this could work to make sense and be slightly helpful. Though perhaps I have nerfed the original idea too much.

I'd have to agree, this isn't a very good idea. Jagex has created a system that works and gains them massive money. What this essentially creates is a multi-tiered membership system. However, I don't think Jagex is really hurting in paying its employees.

F2p is a complete game. P2p is an expansion pack. Jagex simply choosed to do massive advertising so people will purchase the expansion pack. Similarly, you can see stuff about expansion packs if you don't have it, you just have to look for it instead of it staring you in the face.

Similarly, if a mage or ranger dies, they lose less. The warrior risks more, and gets to keep what he has. The mage and ranger both have expendability. That would be the difference between the groups. A ranger can go out in less and be just as effective, same with a mage. Additionally both groups have range. Sorry, but no.

Perhaps, but the friends list is a single list of names. This idea entails a new graphical environment, a separate code for what each stall looks like. Coding for what each stall will sell. Storage of information for the price of what is in the stall, a stock that may be connected to the bank. And setting up the stall would make an area where only 1 person can own it, there are probably about 1,000,000 active players. Though this woudl obviously be p2p only, there are a good 400,000 of them, that many people competing for a limited land on certain crowded servers?

Tree spirits? Like the ones from the random event? This is correct, all of the random even spawns only give you about .5 exp per hit done to them as opposed to the normal 4. Actually, it seems to be whatever damage you do, it only give you 1 exp.

Ah, suggested many times by many differen people. This would be a great addition to runescape is there was an easy way to program it. Unfortunately, this is pure chaos. Normally, in many other MMORPGs, this is accomplished by groups of people creating an automated bot that can take responses and sell items to other through normal trades. Being as bots are illegal in runescape, this obviously can't happen. Personally, within the rules and bounds of this game, I still see the forums as the best way to sell items.

Realistically, we have limited bank space, nothing stacks, and we require utensils. Runescape simply isnt realistic, it would add to the realism of the game, but it is quite unnecessary. Complicated too.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to dissent. I've thought of this myself, but have realized that it is simply too abusable. You are essentially multiplying the exp that is possiblef rom any one object. You are in effect nearly tripling the exp potential of silver and doubling that of gold. The only viable way to do this is if when you reforge something, you lose exp instead of gaining it. I would love easier ways for gaining quick exp, but its not in the nature of the game, nor necessary. More Exp=Bad.

Usualy the full game is much larger then an expansion pack, f2p is a demo for members since you can only access a part of the game... And your attemps are useless, Jagex will not give f2p a major update. i completely agree. f2p is definately a demo. the p2p world is what like 5 time bigger than the f2p world. p2p is not an expansion pack. I'm gonna quote myself, cause I'm too lazy to type it all over again. And Toxicologist posts on a lot of these posts because he tends to make coherent statements and some actual discussion as opposed to flames.

God's armor is meant for its looks. Giving them additional abilities over normal rune would make it sensible to add additionaly abilities to trim and gold armor as well. Just like rares were meant for looks and fun and not money, god armor was meant for looks and fun as well, not bonuses.
-
First of all, the topic title has nothing to do with the post inside. Second of all, no. This essentially makes elemental runes useless. This is like saying, how about we create a bow that only requires arrow shafts to fire? It automatically feathers and heads them.
-
First, there is a message telling you that you have defeated someone. You will also see the drop. Sorry, but I see your first idea as more impatience. Perhaps others will see it the same way as you though. Yes, the left click attack system needs to be changed. Its outdated like no other. It needs to be fixed not just in wilderness, but everywhere.

New method of training Herblore (from Fairy Tale II quest)
Xaga replied to kwimbob's topic in General Discussion
Does this really give good exp per hour? If so, prepare for a nerf.
