  1. Dynamic ones are not allowed. But stat sigs that only respond to a user query are perfectly fine.
  2. But what if you have some interesting information that everyone in the community should know? Just stating it without giving prove is not a solution...
  3. Nice post from Andrew on the maturity/kids issue. He's quite right there.
  4. Run a few levels? Just teleport to Edge right away...
  5. Why do you say that? They actually kill for a purpose - hunger - and generally don't kill if it doesn't serve a purpose. Perhaps some animals know better what is moral and what is not than some humans. I see you're taking morality on a purely evolutionary standpoint. I agree, you could argue an animal only killing for food is it's morality and killing within the species is 'morally' wrong for them as it in no way aids the species, as is the same for humans. That's not always true. On some occassions (from an evolutionary point of view) killing within the species is good, favoring natural selection. I won't get in to this in this topic because it's offtopic. I think you're right. Morality is something we made up. Again, from an evolutionary point of view, there's nothing wrong with _not_ caring about animals. Transforming them into meat or organ donors is just another way that we practice our "right of the strongest". Now, before everyone jumps on me saying I'm a cold hearted monster... I'd like to say that this is purely a theory, nothing practical I would like to see happen in the world of today.
  6. Ofcourse, you don't have to no-life. It just takes longer ;) I have a gf, good grades, and I pretty much have a normal life, and I still am one of the better players (Well... I'm around place 13000 allround ranked, that can be counted as "one of the better players" right?)
  7. Did you read the comments on the news article? I serriously LOL'd at some of them. @Bauke: it is no different than slaughtering them for meat. I know, and I'm not at all against it, but it would be nice if it was possible. As we humans can greatly influence animal development (like this article proves) there should be a way to *just* get the meat, and no living animal. I know in theory it is possible... maybe something for the future. But I think this is a great way to receive donor organs, it can save lives, so I applaud this.
  8. It's good... but too bad a living creature has to be killed for it. I hope they can alter the process of development in a way so that a creature is born without really living, like... without brains or something. It's possible in theory. That way we could farm organs without harming living beings. What a load of crap. They deliberately make up nonsense like this because it's based on no facts at all. Blah, fundamentalists :wall:
  9. Wouldn't that mean everything has a negative aspect though? Define everything? It's just that when being on the internet, it's easy to be exposed to "harmful" things. The whole purpose of the internet is that it's "open". You can expect positive as well as negative things from that. Educating children about the dangers of internet and letting them mature more first is better than blaming online games for being not safe for children. It's simply something that can never be solved. The internet, TV, other games, real life current events like the WAR? Well said to everyone. There are more traumatizing things in the world than a game. Explaining how you should behave on the Internet and how to deal with "cyber bullies" and other negativity that the Internet brings is easy compared to trying to explain why there is war and starving children in parts of the world. If there are things that are more harmful does that make the internet not harmful all of a sudden? But my point was just not to let your kids play the game if it is harmful. If it's not, because there are other far more potentionally harmful things then there shouldn't be complaints about Runescape being not safe for little children.

  11. Parents of little children shouldn't let their kids play online. Simple as that. Online games will always have negative aspects. And if you try to erase all negative aspects and monitor everything, all you do is ruin the game.
  12. Bah, uber useless. Oh well, at least I have my quest cape back.
  13. Is that ring worth keeping? It seems quite useless.
  14. Ok now where are those outlaws? Ok nvm, found... Quite near to Lucien's house.
  15. Which items are needed for the quest? Any ideas?
  16. Nice story. I think owning that lurer makes up for the 90k loss :P
  17. My gf has an RS account, so that's at least one :P And you're never too old to play this game. If you hang around "high level areas" more often, you'll see that there are more older people than you think. Not that being a high level equals maturity, but there certainly are more mature people in that region.
  18. Nice, lots of advice. Darn I'd have to try it all to see what's the fastest :P Thanks guys.
  19. It all depends on the team. The game is pretty quick to learn. It might seem a bit awkward in the beginning, but you'll get used to it. Bring some friends that know how to play and you should be fine.
  20. Thanks for the advice guys. Definately something I can work with.
  21. I don't want gold. I mine that in Brimhaven :) But I haven't thought of balloons yet. What's the nearest to the crafting guild?
  22. That's why you mine it  If so, you wouldn't get 0.5 xp per gp. :P But mining is very slow... At least, I haven't found a good spot yet.
  23. Don't think so. Silver is very expensive these days.
  24. Hunting is a very fast skill, get it up to 80 in like a week. You could work on fishing too, monkfish are great. And firemaking is easy to get some xp. I got over a mil xp burning maples once in a day (aight, I was no-lifing, but it's possible)
  25. Near the crafting guild seems quite slow.. but waterbirth might be a consideration because of the teleport options.
