So, I started pondering this idea when I got myself a glass of water earlier. No matter how I tilted my glass, the waterline would stay horizontal, and it made me wonder, is this waterline the most accurate measure of something being level? Meaning, no matter if you're standing on a crooked floor, or a skyscraper, the waterline will always be exactly level to the Earth's surface or core or something like that, whatever things are level to (and exactly what are things level to?). But is this necessarily true? And then that got me thinking of the Earth's roundness, and the oceans, and gravity, and how exactly that works out or makes sense with this.

I must say I totally agree. Iv'e kind of hated the title of 'president' ever since a certain someone became the president of the U.S. Well, America's had some good presidents. Few, but there are some good ones. :P I can think of one in particular, JFK.

So I got reminded of this topic I haven't heard about in ages. And it got me thinking, should the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom be removed from the flags of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tuvalu, and unofficial countries such as the Cook Islands and Niue Island should they declare independence? It involves history and identity, which are usually used to debate the topic. BTW, this issue can be broadened, so more than just Aussies, Zealanders, etc, and Brits can answer this question. My personal view is for keeping the Union Jack, for historical reasons and representations. I'll keep a vote if this thread is successful enough.

May I suggest the philosophical theory where only the self exists? I can't remember the name for it, something sol, or something as in solo. And it's bother me too, does anyone know it's name? I know it at leasts starts with an 'S'.

OMG! Got it to work. See, I took apart the keyboard to clean it (bad idea :XD:), so when I put back together the keyboard, I flipped upside down a board, and when I plugged it in, I must have fried the SP/2 slot, so we went out an bought a USB keyboard and we got it to work!! \ But thanks anyway, and the PM'd info was an interesting read, thanks.

I should probably answer my own question. Been to the East cost of the USA (Mass. and Con.). And I've been to Canada, mostly Ontario. And also to Florida twice, Panama City and Disney World. I speak English and some Swedish as the most major. I also speak some other languages, but very little.
