Do you live in the south of America as well? I've heard there's tornados down there.

Flying soon...any tips?
For some flights, if your luggage weighs over 50 pounds, they will charge you another $50 even if it's 4 pounds over weight. Just a tip. Unless this is only international flights...

Phobias/Fears
I don't believe in phobias. As I see them as a pointless way to label certain fears that can be gotten over if you work at it.

Are you QI? Or are you GI?
I'll try and justify your answers as best I can. 1. 6 and '2' mistresses, but that number can vary. 2. 2 but apparently you say different, but I'll leave you to that one. 3. Noting wider than a beach ball which must be around the size of a grapefruit, though I disagree. 4. Most agree British India (Pakistan or Bangladesh) or Glasgow. 5. The only way I can justify this is if perovskite crystals occupy geodes inside the earth. 6. 616 656 or 666. 7. It's 50, so this one is unjustifiable. 8. Not justifiable, we are not in an ice age. So around ten thousand years ago. 9. Peyton Randolph was the first president of the Continental Congress, which isn't the US presidency. He was succeeded by Henry Middleton, who would also be not called a president of the USA. 10. Not justifiable, they use a been or pungi that is made from a gourd. So some of the answers are just weird.

The pros/cons/dislikes/likes of where you live.
No, I just don't much care for Michigan and it's horrible economy, and very high crime rate. Though I will say that some parts are really nice, and the water is to die for. =P~ BTW I wish we had a word for those kind of people in America. We usually call them gansta, or ghetto, or something like that.

Well they are the thing you're gonna see most of during your stay in this fabulous place... :( :D Interesting, so Chavs seem to be a mix of "metrosexual" and hip-hop influenced white males (can't say the word here). I'm glad we don't have them here, doesn't sound like a pleasant group of people.   You couldn't be more wrong. Chavs are poor scum.

Isn't that just the American accent? :? I've always pronounced it that way. I don't see how you could really pronounce it wrong? :?

I love how almost everyone from the UK has said, 'chavs' as its own line.

The Coca Cola Rumours
So is everything. :) (My friend drank six cartons of chocolate milk today and was pretty sick for an hour or so. Just remembered that. :P ) Maybe he has *Edit* lactate problems?

Lets give some back to our world.
Reading more into it, they said 'banner' advertisements. That's just banners, what about the other advertisement? Why did they specify? Which leads me to Merc's point.

The Coca Cola Rumours
Of course the United States doesn't have free health care. So the tax payers end up dishing out 100's of dollars to pay for people who keep popping out kids they can't take care of.

The Coca Cola Rumours
Let's examine our options: [*:2thts401]The sort of parent who doesn't mind their child suffering tooth decay [*:2thts401]The sort of parent who doesn't mind their child bouncing off the walls on caffeine (which has a more pronounced effect on young children, as do artificial colourings) [*:2thts401]The sort of parent who doesn't know better And also, the sort of parent who doesn't mind paying hundreds of dollars in dentist and health bills. And since they don't have that kind of money, nor heath insurance, it's where welfare comes into play.

At the end of the day the only way to ensure your efforts DO go to charity is to give direct rather than hoping a third party profit making company will do it. As CharityUSA don't file their finances publicly we cannot confirm their donations. Didn't something similar to this occur after September 11th, when 'supposedly' out of hundreds of thousands of dollars of donated money to the Red Cross, less than a %100 percent actually made it to the cause?

Wow, I can't believe I was able to pronounce correctly all those words.

The pros/cons/dislikes/likes of where you live.
Recently I've noticed the "What country do you live in?" thread get filled with posts about how we feel about places we live. So I've decided to make a post for that very reason, to clean up that thread a little. So on this thread, just state where you live, and then say some pros/cons/dislikes/likes about where you live, you can do your state if you live in the US, or your province if you live in Canada, or your region if you live elsewhere. And I don't want any, 'There's nothing I don't like about my country!', or 'I hate my country!' posts. The first is not possible, for there is always something you don't like, and the latter needs to be elaborated.

What country do you live in?
You live in the actual city of London? Or is it the outskirts? I always imagined you more in either Southampton or Portsmouth or Manchester. Don't know why. :anxious:

I feel fairly similar. Hence this quote in a previous post.

Life skills
Maybe later on, but just starting out, it is very intimidating and confusing. And can severely hurt you if you do something wrong.

Annoying Habits
I like to do things an even number of times. If it's odd, than I usually will redo it until it's even. Only small things though. :ohnoes:

Life skills
But that would require more education on a teachers part, which in turn would make them have to stay in university for longer, and then they'd require a higher salary. That would cost more money. At my school especially we're limited so much on what we can take. Basically the only electives are, Spanish (only language), PE/Health, and only for people taking nonperforming arts/visual arts concentrations (majors) can take art 3d, art 2d, voice/keyboard, dance, or theatre. On top of that, anyone taking a visual/performing arts concentration can only have 1 elective each of the four years in high school, unless they complete other courses, or don't take core classes all 4 years. And it's required we take 2 years of Spanish and 1 year of Health/PE leaving only one open elective, which can be (sometimes, but funding is low) computer classes (which are only for upperclassmen). It sucks. And don't get me started on the fact we don't have a gym.[/rant]

A musing on how people feel about being themselves in school
I think the same thing can be said for interests. Some of us can't express are true interests in lack of being teased or humiliated. I used to be like this, but this year I drew flags of different countries on my books, and since then, I've learned to accept myself for who I am. I can like what I like, as long as it doesn't impune upon others.

What ethnic groups do you have in you?
Somewhere around 90% Deutsch (German), and the rest is British and French, more so French Canadian, but that is French and British. There might also be some Scandinavian and Polish in their somewhere.
