I think right now they're fine. But if it grew larger, than it would run farmers and breeders and slaughters' out of business. And the animal population would grow too big, and there would be widespread disease through animals, kind of like Mad Cow, or the Bird Flu.

Things like popularity in high school won't (rarely) make a difference in your life after high school. The dedicated smart kids, and some of the smart but socially inept kids will most likely be the bosses of the popular kids, but not in all cases, sometimes the kid can be popular and smart. They do it for attention, most of the time they don't get enough attention at home, and so seek attention at school, by picking on weaker kids hoping their popularity will either grow, or lots of kids will notice and give them tons of attention.
