  1. I 100% agree. AA does nothing but discriminate in reverse. Not all black people are poor, and not all white people are rich. So making an assumption like AA (even though finance does come into play) is just immoral. They're basically telling the white trash that they don't get any AA, even though they too are poor.
  2. I've heard of Carson City too. :P I see alot of commercials of Nevada trying to advertise their parks and what not. Somewhat straying away from Las Vegas.

Well, there has to be someone to reinforce everything. And see, that's the core of the problem, as someone else mentioned already.

While we're on the topic, how does everyone feel about socialism?

Communism is the lack of any class system. Everyone is equal, there is no money. But jobs are pre-chosen, and you get rations, so if you, for example, have to eat more, than you're out of luck. It never lasts, because eventually a class system forms. Like, for example, when the farmer realizes the doctor gets the same thing as he does, but his work is easier, and so on and so fourth. And like when the people realize the government has all the power, and is supposed to be equal.
  6. I've met my brother. :P But alas, no, however there are a few users especially I'd love to meet. :)
  7. Yea. BTW I'm not trying to start a title thread, because we've had tons. This is a little different.
  8. Are we enslaved by fashion? I see two ways personally to approach this question. It can either mean, enslaved by brands and companies, or enslaved by general fashion ie. certain styles, or what goes with what. I don't have a problem with fashion myself, but I was wondering if anyone else agrees that we are enslaved by fashion, or disagrees?
  9. I have the best time when I'm traveling to to foreign places and experiencing and learning new cultures and their way of life. And being ingulphed by living history, or living faith of a certain religion. Experiencing the ruins of ancient civilizations and learning about their ways, their methods, their people. I just love to travel and experience new places.
  10. Yep, it's Russian. :P
  11. Well, we can try communism. No ones going to be complaining about race in a communist country eh? Well, it wouldn't last, communism never lasts... But what about totalitarianism! Nope, wouldn't work, that's too much like communism. No, I do not support communism and totalitarianism.
  12. That plucks me a sadness string  I'm surprised the people weren't fat or dumb as well.
  13. I wouldn't say the population of people who celebrate those holidays is anywhere near the size of Christians. And alot of those religions, like Islam, are celebrated more in countries where the amount of Muslims is so high, celebration and tradition don't degrade very much.
  14. Saying that celebration of a holy day of a religion is on the same level as studying takes stupidity to another level. Probably. I wasn't really thinking when I wrote that post.
  15. So I suppose you'd say the same about an Atheist who's studied all sorts of theological religions?
  16. Christ was not necessarily born on this day. The Bible never says a specific date, but most historians agree on late spring as a good possibility. Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday called Yule, until Christian influence came into play. It has several derivatives, like ancient Englanders used to party on this day, because they were given this freedom by the Crown under King Charles, before and after this, Puritans were in control, and didn't allow it. For a while, there was no Christmas in America, while we were under Puritan control.
  17. 18. If someone is going to get me a gift I'd rather it be cash/gift card unless it's something meaningful. Otherwise I don't need anything or if they insist I'd rather just have money and save them the trouble of going to the store to find something for me.. That's an interesting idea, but the concept of a gift is the meaning. They're giving the gift, so you shouldn't worry about them going to any trouble. It's a gift. Yeah, but when I really think about it I realize I don't need any gifts to make me happy. I find joy in seeing others smile and making sure their happy. So on the opposite side I could see how me being happy could make others happy, though I have trouble showing joy in receiving a gift so the most they're able to get out of me is a smile and a thank you (I even have trouble pretending to be happy). Ooh! Good attitude! You should be a Buddhist! :D Heh, I have yet to put my faith into a single religion and Buddhism is one I tend to like ;) You should do what I do and study, Islam, Hindu, Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, etc. It's a great way to learn about other cultures. :)
  19. Right you are there. But the again we can take over all of North America anytime we please. Canada wouldn't put up much of a fight. Horses don't out run jets now do they? EH? Yeah, Canada doesn't have as much military power as America. Nor does it have as good health care.
  20. I like giving, because I love to see the expression on their faces when they get it. :)
  21. I love this game!! \
  22. But they're good shows, like How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, and EuroVision. You cannot be serious, EuroVision is a complete joke nowadays, nobody that goes on it can sing, the only real reason to watch it is a bunch of Macedonian girls in short skirts attempting to sing. No, half the singers can't sing, the rest can. Usually the majority pick weird songs to perform. :P
  23. I saw Doom one once, it was pretty bad. But Wolfenstein my friend used to play. I didn't like it, because whenever he would stab someone I would cringe. Eventually he had to stop stabbing people altogether lol. :)
