  1. I dont see why it should be a money drain at all...it's not a new skill or anything that requires you to buy completely new stuff. I mean, you might wish to buy a weapon/armor or something, but most people wouldn't need to. And besides, I hear they're giving us new armor by the end of it. So yes, I'm pretty sure this is just to keep f2pers still interested in the game, even as they look at screenies of construction with drool coming out of their mouths.
  2. haha. any basis for your guesses? they seemed kinda random.
  3. One thing is for certain, people who you may think are your friends on Runescape may have totally different intentions. I'm surprised people would trust each other to wear phats or dragon chains...there are tons of people who would take advantage of others' naiivety (sp.?)
  4. yeah, f2p players don't have as many opportunites to "create" gp as p2p players. the dungeon is probably just to educate the masses about account security...it seems like fun. i'm excited.
  5. acinonyx -> xynonica doesnt really make sense, but who said it has to?
  6. come on guys!!! make this more interesting!! see?
  7. NOT! this smiley:
  8. TPUM is a rabid jellyfish with rabbit ears and six inch nose!
  9. 7/10 a bit blurry...and also a roaring dragon/creature doesnt seem very silent...haha. but still cool.
  10. banned for not being silent when your sig says "fell silent"
  11. It wouldn't make sense to make just p2p changes for a place like varrock. I actually like the new falador, despite what some say about its too white look. I'm also excited about the new f2p dungeon...wonder when thats gonna come out.
  12. wow, this is very generous of you...i'd like one too. Text - Somaster989; subline: RuneScape f2p player Font: http://www.dafont.com/a-charming-font.font Render - http://www.render-world.com/gallery/dis ... 1&pos=1001 Style - C4D preferably, but if something else might look cooler...use that instead.
  13. grim reapers creepier than that little guy!
  14. ehhh. That reminds me of the time right before a huge lacrosse game when I opened my school's massive front doors...right on my big toe. I slashed away a considerable chunk of skin and toenail...and it bled nonstop. I surprised myself immensely by actually trying to play in the game despite the pain in my toe...but I eventually gave up because my sock became a bloody mess and it hurt like crazy. I couldn't walk for a day either...so yea, I know what it's like to have a constant throbbing in your toe. It's very annoying. BTW, what's a pallet?
  15. I don't know if what happened to you was a scam, but I fell for one of these money switching scams where a guy puts up 1000k on the trade screen and immediately switches it to 10004 before you notice and you accept, not looking at the trade screen. it was OUCH to the max. anyway, sorry about your loss. I feel for ya.
  16. Hello, I'm a level 49 f2p ranger (63 combat) and I've been training on the hill giants for the past couple of days to up my low ranging level. Hill giants are level 28 and I could usually pwn one of them in about 4 or 5 hits. I use a maple shortbow, on rapidfire, with steel arrows. I had the idea of moving on to moss giants since they were higher combat level and also gave big bones, which I bury for prayer exp. I just wanted to know if this is a good idea to try moss giants instead, or stick with hill giants. I recently went to the varrock sewers where the moss giants were and found that it was a multicombat area, where if I attack a moss giant, I usually found myself attacked by a deadly red spider too. And is it a little less crowded in varrock sewers compared to the hill giants' cave? This matters a little bit during the middle of the day where there are tons of people training their combat. So please tell me whether I should stick with hill giants or kill moss giants instead where I can probably get faster exp. And also, does anyone suggest that I get better arrows or anything? My steels seem to be pretty good, and they're cheap enough so if some random noob thief comes and steals them, I won't lose as much. However, would mithril arrows be more effective in training? Thanks! -Acinonyx
  17. i actually got a mime today. i didnt get any clothes, but i got an emote. does anyone know why...or is that just the way it works? or can you get multiple things...like clothes + emote?
  18. well...obviously. I just took the values from the XP table and put them into Excel, which generated a graph. Why would it seem complicated to make a graph like this?
  19. Like I clearly explained in my original post, it is CLEARLY not an exponential function. Check my post. And I'm not in grade 12 yet. Sophomores FTW!
  20. Ok, so I used the info from the Tip.It XP Table available at http://tip.it/runescape/?page=xp_table.htm to construct this function graph: Doesn't it really put into perspective how much you have to train to get to 99? haha, it discouraged me a bit, actually. And it also made me admire those guys who got to 98 construction in a matter of a week. But anyway, that's beside the point. So I tried to figure out how exactly this graph and table were constructed. It seemed to me like it was exponential at first, but actually, it is not exponential (to the first degree anyway) A property of an exponential function is that successive terms have the same ratios. By that I mean: the ratio f(2) / f(1) should be the same as the ratio f(3) / f(2). So when you divide the values corresponding to levels 1, 2, 3 as I just said, you should be getting the same ratio of values. This, however, does not happen. So then I tried to see if the function was exponential to the second degree, meaning that the ratio of the ratios of successive terms should be the same, and that also is not the case. I don't believe that this graph is exponential to any other degree either (correct me if I'm wrong). apparently a little bit of entropy has been thrown into this XP table, but i badly want to know how they created it. I also tried looking for software that could take all this information and put into an equation for me, but I couldn't find any. So...if anybody has an thoughts, or suggestions as to where I can fit an equation to this curve, please tell me! And of course, tell me your reactions upon seeing this graph.
