  1. I don't support. There are already spells like this-ancient magicks. These spells can hit multiple targets up to 30damage, and have other effects. Making prayers capable of doing 20 damage to multiple targets isn't a good idea, and ranged already has rune darts (p), which can do incredible amounts of damage almost as fast as a dds special, and keep hitting at that speed. Making another spell book for a weaker version of ancient magicks is a bad idea, having three spell books (normal, lunar, and ancients) is already more than we need. Ancients already has 8 spells that can hit multiple enemies, which is far more than most people use.
  2. I fully support, but wearing a cape with numbers on it would be odd.
  3. I don't really support, sorry. Although it does seem like a good idea, you should automatically check the second trade window, instead of having Jagex install precautions so that you can't get scammed. I do feel bad for people who have been scammed like this, but it is their own fault for being hasty. Maybe make the 5 second extension optional?
  4. This is a great idea, I fully support, although I think the construction guild should be somewhere else. Maybe near Ardougne or Catherby?
  5. Wow. If you don't have the mage lvl for Tele to Catherby, or can't afford the two laws for Tele to Ardougne, I have no idea why you are fighting Kalphites. I disagree with this idea, especially being forced to watch a one minute cut scene each time I die. Unless you can't afford laws this idea is pointless.
  6. Mmmm...screenshots show most of that. This is a great idea, but the sad fact is that Jagex won't do it. I would really like to have f2ps at my house, and it would work for f2p clan meetings, but I don't see how it would help members.
  7. So we just should die and drop our pking gear out of "professional courtesy?" Not eating gives somebody running by a reason to pilejump you, as they can tell that it won't be a hard fight. Pking isn't about giving your opponent a fair chance to kill you, it's about beating them and taking their stuff. P.S. I have never met someone in the wild who was pking for fun.
  8. It's hard to tell what the last rare would be, as people would notice that there weren't as many rares left and (hopefully) stop alching them. The last rare in the game could be sold for billions of gp. People would do a lot to grab that last party hat, just so they could be the only person in the game with that item.
  9. That's a classical scam. Something similar to me happened 2 years ago, except it was with full addy. I feel your pain.
  10. Although skill capes are about patience, they are really just another way to attract players to members. I can't think of a f2p who would put enough time into a game to get level 99 without crossing over to be a member. It's also easier to level as a member. :D And even if treasure trails would be fun, they are just part of members that free will always be dreaming about.
  11. Yeah, as a member I agree with this, it's a good idea and f2p mage sucks. Lower-level mage robes in f2p would even up the combat triangle, but I don't think f2p should get any of the robes that already exist in members. Add me to supporters list.
  12. definitely in the top 3 suggestions i have ever seen in this forum, i fully support
  13. Look at ur sig. You prob think it's cool. You prob think it's funny. It is neather of those. It says " Join the campaign for LESS F2P bank space" Obviosly you do want it to be degraded The sig expresses an opinion. The sig is a joke, I don't really want free degraded, but I don't think it should be upgraded. P.S. Read my new sig about spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Judging from the quality of your post I think you'll like it.
  14. i'm pretty sure you should read through the whole thread, this is on the first page or two. he said that the ad revenue was greater than the money members pay. he said nothing about $60 million, but this is an estimate of how much money jagex gets annually from members.
  15. Well i am a f2p and id rather get some cooler updates than just holiday items and graphical updates and i believe most f2p agrees with me. Id rather not get those (especially the graphical ones) and get some real updates (like some new skills or some new items) obviously you want updates, the question is why should you get them? it's not like you pay, or contribute to the game except for a small amount of money due to the ads that you don't read. members pay for jagex's effort, and that is why we get the updates. all you have to do to get updates is pay a measly $5 ($8 in Canada), you can even do it through the mail if your parents won't let you use their credit cards. in case u havent noticed (if u ever log on a f2p world) THERE IS AN AD AT THE TOP. Jagex earn more mny from than the mny from p2p One million members times $5 US a month=$5 million US a month. If you think Jagex is getting paid more than 60 million US a year to run ads, you really should go back to grade school, if you aren't there right now. u r making me sick. So u think that f2p should be De-graded or something? it sure sounds like it. what??? i never said free should be degraded. you suggested that Jagex is receiving more than $60million a year for the ads on free servers, and now you're making things up. :shame:
  16. I don;t call it "pity" I call it sympathising. When I quit members I realize how freaking tiny the f2p bank is. Not to mention former members have to deal with the tiny bank all over again, but with members items as well to deal with. I think 1/10 is extremely low for members who want more free bank space. ok, i admit, sympathising might work better there. also, i agree that more than 1/10 members want more free bank space. maybe 2/10. why do p2ps want more free bank space; they arent f2p when last i checked... WRONG. yeah, i cant help but agree with you on account of those nasty bold capital letters. I never had bank space problems as a member...Bank organization on the other hand. -.- attacking me personally for a lack of organization constitutes an argument? oh, wait, it doesn't. I'm sure it's significantly more than "nothing" compared to the membership price. its a figure of speech, allow me to clarify. The revenue generated by ads is a fraction of the $5 a month (more if in cash) that members pay. happy now? Indeed. Instead of spending the money on updates, they pocket the rest of the money to themselves. eh...no, i would say that the remaining money goes to graphical updates, and new areas like the stronghold of security which even free players receive.
  17. i dont recall saying anything about how everyone goes straight to members, and yes i have had bank space problems even as a member. im not sure where you are going with that "load of (apples)" thing, the only reason i had "[cabbage]" in my text was because of some sort of profanity filter done by tip.it. free people actually dont pay for ads, the ad companies pay for that. even so, revenue generated by ads in nothing compared to the $5 a month (more if in cash) that members pay. that money doesnt go toward updates, it goes toward keeping the free servers running.
  18. Well i am a f2p and id rather get some cooler updates than just holiday items and graphical updates and i believe most f2p agrees with me. 19. this is ridiculous. if you want something, you have to pay for it, its only $5 a month, thats nothing. this is a bigger load of [cabbage] than the ads about froot loops being "part of this balanced breakfast." the "balanced breakfast" shown would be healthier without froot loops. what im trying to say is that its obvious that only nonmembers discussed this. out of 10 f2ps, all 10 will say that they deserve it. out of 10 p2ps, 1 will pity the poor f2ps and vote for more f2p stuff, and the other 9 will ask why f2p should get something they arent paying for. f2p players who whine about a lack of bankspace generally have no intention of ever becoming a member, and are just leeches who dont contribute to the game. f2p doesnt need to keep all the junk, and they arent paying for runescape. its unlikely that f2p will get more bank space, face it.
  20. lol, what a tool. there's a reason that people keep the edible (not "eatable" as your post suggests) items noted. pumpkins and easter eggs can still be sold for a good 10M, removing them just because some idiot eats his is outrageous.
  21. Well i am a f2p and id rather get some cooler updates than just holiday items and graphical updates and i believe most f2p agrees with me. 22. why should f2p get new items, quests, areas? the only way they pay jagex is through ad revenues, which jagex uses to maintain the free servers. f2p doesnt deserve the time and effort required for new updates. If you want to get updates, pay for them and give jagex a reason to give you updates. saying that free updates shouldnt be as good as member updates or released later is bull, if you dont give you wont get. :boohoo:
  23. They make enough to profit from the f2p servers and constantly promote their members version. pshh. the only reason jagex keeps free is to attract people to mems. free shouldnt get updates, and dont whine about how it needs updates, more bank space, etc. people join mems for updates and bank space. After 2 months, no. I've played RS since before members version existed. And after it came out it was about 8 months before I even put up my first $5. If they cut me off after 2 months, I probably would have quit. and? It's your opinion. So it must be true! ok, maybe two months is a bit extreme. but there are supposedly around 10 million runescape players. 9 million are free, around 1 million pay. i would say that around 6-7 million of those free players have never even considered becoming a member. They are clearly leeches, and don't deserve updates. Them being "leeches" is also only your opinion. f2p does help the game. And this "higher conversion rate" makes no sense. If anything the conversion rare would be much much lower if we cut off f2pers. and Jegex's business would undoubtedly fail. What's so hard to understand? :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: ok, so maybe i haven't a clue what "higher converson rates" are. we also shouldnt cut off f2p players, f2p is, in a sense, a trial version of members, except without the really good stuff. free players really shouldnt get updates, except of course, for graphic updates, and things like the stronghold of security. they definitely shouldnt get new quests, they already have 18, which, although it is nothing in comparison with the 120-something quests we members have, is enough to convince someone to become a member, if they intend to do so.
  24. -.- what would be the point of being a member if f2p gets everything except for the newest skill or two without paying?
  25. runescape isnt really about fun for f2p people, its about making money for the company in real life wasting time on f2p quest updates and things like that doesnt really encourage people to join f2p, the idea is that if you get bored of no more quests, new skills, etc., you will join members and pay money for the good stuff, like updates making the free side of the game more fun generally wont persuade you to pay, but increasing the benefits of actually paying definitely will
