Everybody says Runescape will be gone in 50 years, but I'd like to know why. IMO Runescape won't exist in 50 years because Jagex will run out of ideas.

I take offense at that. I have reported only one person in the couple of years that I have been playing. And it was only because he kept stealing the monsters I was training on. I don't go on the look out for rule breakers as it seems some people do. I focus on what I am doing so I can get it done faster so I can go on to something more interesting (unless I am doing like a quest which is interesting.) How can you be offended, when seconds later you prove that you have no clue of what rule-breaking is or how the report abuse system is meant to be used? No offense, but you sound like the typical "Miniclip kid." P.S. What did you report them for?

I support. Makes it easier to know stats of a weapon without taking everything off, especially when you have limited inventory space.

This is just a guess, but maybe that's not how old the account is but the actual total playing time? If it is the age of the account, that's pretty good to get an average level of 65 in a hundred or so days. Nobody can get 1500+ total in 5 months, that's the amount of time they've spent in-game. We should be able to see how much time we've spent in the game, but it shouldn't be public.

I agree, this would be much better as a minigame. Too complicated as a skill because we already have trawler, but a pirate-themed minigame would be pretty good.

Begging is harmless, unless the person doing it follows you (eg. "I'm going to follow you around and annoy you until you give me 5k"). Then it's a reportable offence, harassment, reported under offensive language.

I agree with most of this. When I was a newb, I never begged or received free stuff. I think you should get them to help you with something, like air running or law running, where you can give them the profits of what they make instead of just giving them free stuff, otherwise they'll just change from being newbs to being noobs. Which do you want more?

This is why Jagex won't give more bank space, because it brings people to members.

No, quest capes shouldn't be trimmed. The time required to get all the quest points is nothing compared to the time required for two 99 skills (trimmed cape).

Meh, I disagree. If your PS1 has bad graphics and no new games, wouldn't you get PS2 for the better graphics and new games? Same thing in Runescape. There's enough in Runescape F2P to play it for around 6 months before you get really bored (that's how long I was F2P before I switched over). Most free players who are desperately bored of F2P have finished all the quests, and done everything that can be done in F2P. So they have two choices, they can join members or stay F2P and complain about a lack of updates.

I don't think this is true, as the price of onyx is pretty much directly tied to the price of chaos runes, which doesn't fluctuate too much. On the forums right now, the new Onyx jewellery sells for 4.5-5M, its normal price. Of course, there are a few bargain-hunters and merchants who are trying to buy these items for 3-3.5M in the hope of a 1.5M profit later on, but so far nobody has been stupid enough to sell to them.

Mine's always on, unless I've recently been on a free world. You get at least 10 pms if you venture into a free world wearing something worth more than 1M.

Sure, but make it incredibly hard to get granite. Maybe one rock in the entire game that can only be accessed when there are over 1800 players in that world, and have the respawn time for granite be 2 hours+.

Herblore-Can be used to merchant prayer pots. Doesn't really lose money unless you keep the pots you make. Smithing-Steel bars can make some decent money with cannonballs, I was considering doing this but it would take far too long, because I'm only 55 smithing. :oops: Crafting-Can be very expensive, I don't know how many dhides it would take to get to 99 though. Construction-Most expensive for sure. Takes millions if you want to get 99 quickly. Runecrafting-If you don't count the money you make from nats it actually takes 1.5 million ess almost for 99 ess prices were steady around 80-100 gp each that turns out to be a really expensive skill Farming-Takes a very long time if you want 99, as trees take from 15 hours (fruit trees) to 60 hours (spirit trees). Still pretty expensive. Prayer-Very expensive, also requires the money to get the construction level for a guilded altar if you want it to not take 2 years. Yeah, I totally agree with all of this.

I don't think that Runescape will close in the next five years, but it will change to either become a better game than it is now, or a game designed with younger kids in mind. Already there's a lot of stuff in the game to prevent these kids from being scammed, sworn at, etc. Runescape claims to be designed for people who are 13+, but it's impossible to swear, and the most offensive word in the game is "noob." Runescape Classic was fun because, even though the graphics weren't great, it was possible to die without being warned six or seven times.

lol but comon u dont just pay 4 skill capes do you? Yeah, we don't pay just for skill capes. We pay for all the members stuff. Thephat's idea wouldn't work, if you stop being a member all of your members stuff gets put into your bank. Skill capes aren't the reason most people become a member, but they are the reason dedicated people who could wear a skill cape join members.
