The guides to prevent item scamming were great. Good job to whoever wrote the article, it exposes quite a few flaws in Runescape that could (and probably should) be fixed.

Yeah, definitely Mysterious Old Man or Sandwich Lady. I once ignored her for too long, and she teleported me to the symbol on the top floor of wizards' tower. She must have appeared while you had your connection down.

Hey, I was the one with the sig everybody wants to report. I was not serious, there is no campaign for less f2p bank space as nobody would join it. It expressed my opinion, because I don't think f2p is ever going to get more bank space, and there are numerous threads by f2ps complaining about it. I didn't make the sig, I can't (don't know how). The sig has been removed as of this post, my apologies to anyone offended by it. :( EDIT: My parents don't pay for my membership, it comes out of my own pocket. Also, tip.it mods removed my sig AFTER I took it off myself. OK, another edit: Thanks to Prankster King for accepting my apology, but it seems not everybody did... I actually apologized before Tip.it mods removed my sig, I changed it back because nobody wants [admin edit:...] as their sig. You can't leave me be can you? P.S. I think you've missed the whole point of that argument. It's not that the person SHOULD give away all their stuff, the idea is to prove that even runescape's pixel items hold value. Naturally how much value would depend on the person, but the items are worth more then just the pixels they appear as on the screen, which is why someone nearly always brings it up after some idiot comes along and says "ZOMG itz just a game nub" Calling me an idiot now? :notalk: The value depends on the individual player, and in my opinion the value isn't very high. The items have as much value to each individual player as that player places in them. I don't recall saying "ZOMG itz just a game nub," I just think that people shouldn't let Runescape take over their lives. I ask you this: If you stand to lose nothing by people who've lost items to glitches having their items returned to them, then why would you care if they do? Where exactly is the argument against returning items here? Sure YOU may not care, but other people DO, so why not give them an update that would stop jagex from ruining their favorite passtime? You're taking this out of context, I was responding to 123Yourgone about how much value I think that people should see in the pixels that make up Runescape. In my opinion, of course.

Yeah, cooking guild really needs improvements for free players. Members already have all they need for cooking.

Yeah, this is true, but by using the "Split Private Chat" option you can make your private messages visible for longer. Just a tip. We do need a way to stop this, maybe make an option for a "Split Trade" so trades can be seen in busy worlds.

You just spelt 'Grammar' wrong lol, u said 'Grammer'. Yeah, it seems that half of the people here can't spell "grammar" correctly. Another thing on the topic of grammar-why are you putting an apostrophe for what is clearly a plural? I don't think you do use good grammar. "JAGeX are doing..." should be "JAGeX is doing..."-subject-verb agreement. Jagex is a singular noun. About "im" and "i" ("i" appears several times)-what can I say? Lots of people who have posted here prove that Jagex's censor system does encourage bad grammar.

Runescape is a game after all, but that doesn't mean she's going to drop all of her things because of that. Although Runescape is just pixels, we put time and effort into those pixels, which makes it fun. Losing a phat in Runescape is disappointing, but it shouldn't be a big deal to you in real life. I fail to see how that argument, and even the example you give, aren't valid. Runescape is either important or it's not. It's either worth something or it isn't. If you think it's just a game, and that losing large sums of gp isn't a big deal then yes, you should give your stuff to someone who appreciates it. If you're not willing to do so then clearly you don't believe your own argument, and you DO hold some value to your pixel items. There's a difference between generosity and nonchalance when talking about money in a game. I do like having Runescape money, but I wouldn't care if I lost it because of a glitch. Things like that are beyond my control. Giving money away is different, as it is willfully done. The difference here is the amount that we dedicate ourselves to the game. You clearly take Runescape more seriously than I do, the most time I spend playing in a day is one hour, if I'm fishing, which doesn't require my attention (that's why it's my favourite skill), I can even play up to two hours. Your estimation of 6 months for a party hat suggests that you play quite a bit more than me; it would take me more than 18 months at the rate that I play to get that much.

PvP makes no money unless you duel.

Cooking already has what it needs as a skill, and I think that Jagex should focus more on less developed skills, but an improved cooking guild would really help.

Some guy came up to me in Varrock bank when I was wearing my full Guth, and asked if I wanted to join an expensive drop party in the Jolly Boar Inn (north-east of Varrock). So I said sure, and brought along 10 air runes and 10 laws. When we get there he tells me that there is 10M just two steps into wildy, and to wait for it to appear. I can actually see his pure friend who is trying to kill me, and just tele-grab the "10M", which turns out to be 10K. The guy followed me back to Varrock bank begging for his money. :XD:

Hey, I'm Ianer101, which is also my rsn. I have been playing Runescape for about 3 years, and like fishing and training mage.

High-level herblore definitely needs new potions, but this isn't the solution.

I think the current report abuse system is good enough. The reason people don't get banned immediately is not because only one person reported them, they most likely received a black mark(s). It will be hard to completely stop scammers, as they will always find ways to circumvent whatever Jagex uses to stop them, which is also sadly true of macroers.

These are all great ideas, but I pity the noobs who will get slaughtered by roaming highwaymen. Add me to supporters list! :)
