Whilst I have little ground to comment on either skills (level 60 Slayer, Level 56 RC) I believe runecrafting to be the harder skill solely because it is extrememly monotonous and boring...slayer you fight different monsters with different styles and have to potential to get some interesting drops.

My First Greaters Trip: Food was 5k....Thanks JaGeX for an easier accessed higher leveled F2P monster to fight with some worthwile drops :)

If you're not overly fussed about speed a much more useful way to train would be to do it through slayer. The drops you get will sell for a reasonable amount....try either Vannaka of Chaeldar until 100 cb.......hope this helps :)

Are the new monsters in the crater F2P aswell (i.e. the lessers, greaters, and skeletons?) if so im off to go kill me some greaters.....

I think the idea of tank-mage or range died along time ago with rs classic but tbh in F2P the best is still ranged/r2h combo. If you don't want to do that either pure ranged or str pure will go down nicely. However you could prove common belief and create a ranged tank and see what happens : Oh and don't get prayer until you're a much higher level and a quality pker....it's too much hassle of you're just starting out...

This couldn't be true(er). The whip is such an amazing step up from a d scim it is more than worth it....you could invest the 750k in some quick-as-hell firemaking exp....its what I do :)

Well for me this update just further increases the validity of high levels and the overall awsomeness of runescape, Happy Days :

It is valid for two reasons: 1. It fixed the agility unfairness 2. I can now run everywhere and just sit for a few moments to regain energy.....it makes everything flow alot better for me...especially in F2P. Well those are my inputs :)

I have some experience in this field....i've rc'ed a few k airs with and without gloves.....definately spend your time getting those gloves...its so much better in the end :)

Well it just goes to show that Explorers Ring 3 is one of the best things to happen to f2p runescape since like the maple bow and addy arrow update in like '03....

Congratulations :thumbsup: 10/10 I think getting 1800 total without succumbing to Cape fever in any other the easier skills is a very big achievement nowadays.....

Well I say get to a good 40 attack 60 strength combo so you could, if you wanted to, pk there and then. Afterwards definately get 40 range and the green dragonhide and extra hp exp will help. Then work towards 70 range and 70 strength which will get you the ideal pker for f2p....good luck and add me (blurite44) if you got anymore questions. :

The vast majority of pkers will not have done the heroes quest, therefore they will not use the d mace. When I pked I definately found a DDS spec to be very easy to pull of and highly effective....a dd is also cheaper than a d mace...making it a much more useful pk wep over the mace...well thats my thoughts at least.....I did pk in P2P very long..i was just a range/r2h hybrid...

A relatively unknown spot that not many people use are the fortress guards in the black knights fortress. You can stand on the mountain (next to the oracle) and range the fortress guards without taking a hit.....however you cannot pick up your arrows, but it is really good exp, i used it from 50-65. Another option are lessers....i did them from 65-70....you do make a profit from them but it is slower exp...good luck :

This is issue is really down to the randomness of the mining skill and also a question of the quality of internet connection someone has....I admit I believe it is highly unfair that some @ 99 mining could still be beaten by someone @ lvl 41 mining with a rune pickaxe on an iron ore.... I say a major mining update is in order....

Support. This would be a great addition so long as it isn't 'campable' in f2p (which by the looks of it, it won't be), and also if it doesn't crowd up the lessers in the karamja dungeon...

I just reverted back to F2P as I am trying to get 99 fm, and wanted to go Cockroach Soldier hunting and wondered what the best armour/set-up is for doing so? Im 81 attack, 75 Strength, 75 Defence, 66 Magic, and 72 Ranged. Thanks :

I advise you to fish trout and salmon either at barbarian village, or shilo village if you have access, purely because it is fast exp, and you can sell the raws. But out of experience I'd say fish lobbies, and sell them raw, gaining you a tasty bit of gp :

If you want it faster, I advise going either fleshies or spiders in lvl 2 or 3 of the security stronghold.....its mad fast exp, however slayer will definately pay off in the long run, I regret not training slayer when it got lvl 70 all melee stats....good luck anyways :thumbup:

Very nice guide, well done : , great presentation, well written and detailed enough. Have you ever thought about either expanding this guide to include the ice giants in the wildy, or writing another guide for another F2P monster to range?

AS if recent i've got a bit bored of runescape, and as i have exams coming up in six weeks or so (I love GCSEs...) runescape does get a lot of time in my life. However I decided to liquidate all my stuff, and spend all the money on logs for 99 firemaking. Training firemaking means that I can log on for like 10mins, get 5 invens of logs burnt and log off and go do something else. It gives more direction to my gaming, and I'm sure 99 cooking works much the same way, but with lots less clicking.... :

It has been tradition, ever since when the very first video games were released, that gaming to be targeted at men. Compare this to this such as sports. At first, most sports were men only (say the NBA for example). But after an extended amount of time, women started to play sports (and thus created the WNBA, much later than when the NBA was created). It is much like this with videogames, and therefore runescape and other MMORPGs alike. Hope my input was valid... :

I decided it was time to give magic a go (i'm only 64....haven't really bothered with it before) and so i decided to try the mage training arena and was wondering which rewards should i get? I was debating whether or not to get bones to peaches before anything else..... Thanks

Smithing you can actually make a profit by buying the ores and smelting the bars :thumbup: but its a very slow rate of exp. Another way would either be making gol bars with gauntlets or by smith iron/steel platebodies, but both of these methods will prove costly in the long run. Hope that helps :
