Well, what do you plan to do as an armor mage? If you are pking/warring, your best bet is probably to hybrid with melee armor. I would take full druid with staff, rune kite and rune gloves, amulet of power, and whatever boots for warring in cwa while having a full set of rune armor in invo. If you are pking and want to risk fog robes, take the same setup except replace rune glove with green vamps with rune plate and legs in invo. If you do not want to risk, a popular choice is either uncharged fog robes/rc robes/combination of monk robes and mage robes with rune armor invo. 85 mage is very well worth it as it enables a clan to get a kill in every multi-areas. I would get it myself except I hate mage with a passion, so is probably going to take me sometime. Also potting up with bomb is not a good idea since it last for such a short time, I wont recommended it. If you already have 82+ mage, might as well get 85. Hope that helps. : PS: I missed a couple of the questions. Never bring a melee weapon as a mage, you need as many invo space for food as possible, and with all those runes you are already losing about 3-4 invo of food. Also mages were meant as an aide to pking such as binding, cursing does help but bind is only the really important function as a mage, that and teleblock. I would not bring curse runes since you will spend a lot of time binding. PPS: Oh I just remembered another reason for not bringing a rune scimitar, a mages biggest job is to provide constant bind, and you will need as many mage bonus as you need. The staffs +10 mage bonus really helps in that aspect. PPPS: I would use rune kite since the negative mage bonus is so small, but if you want to welfare, then use rune square.

I have a theory here.. Do you know why Jagex bring more and more powerful weapons into the game? Is because they want the users to use everything they have, including...yes I said it...Melee Protection! solo pkers nowadays regard melee protection as "Nooby" because it drags the fight out and nobody would really get a ko. So Jagex introduce more and more powerful weapons so one day the solo pkers would utilize "everything" in their disposal to pk instead of establishing some honor code. When he attacked me, my auto retaliate compelled me to follow him south to near the tunnel, and I saw a few people where he was running. At first I figured it was multi, and thought I'd just die then respawn in falador bank with all my items. So he started attacking me, I saw a few good 20+, and wondered why I wasn't dying. I soon realized that I was being healed and having my prayer drained, so I dequipped my spear and started running. When I was down to about 10 health I dropped the spear (which was hard to do because of the "if you drop this it will degrade) message, and I ran into the bank, lucky that his last burst didn't manage to freeze me. I banked my chest, grabbed my spear, and I was fine. Anyways though, moral of the story--Wouldn't that technically be luring, because he drew me from an area of relative safety to a place where his friends could help him kill me? [/hide] Well you are fighting in the pvp worlds, to me that would be 4 iteming in the wilderness, and if you were killed there, I think it as a honorable death instead of been lured. :

That is possibility one of the best pking tactic thought by the players, I really don't think is a scam. But I already know this because there was a pking video about it on youtube, they smite out 1-itemers with the exact same tactic. :

The question is very vague, you can do alot of things with them. The question you should ask yourself is what do you like/want to do, then spend the money there.

The spec restore both 20 hp and boost your defense same as drinking a super defense pot. While slaying, it will probably be more helpful than 4 dds spec. I bought sgs mainly because of its special, sure I can play with it at castle wars and what not but I can do that with a bgs too. I think I am really asking is that how great is the difference between the two specials? On one hand I have potentially more hp and prayer, with the other I have a definite 20 hp boost with a super defense pot. So is the difference between the two specials so small that it doesn't matter which one it is?

Well I love my sgs, but I don't like to waste money if I can help it. This new special of that exwhatever sword gives 20 hp for 100% of the bar. More like a cheap version of sgs, now when combined with Guthan/Bunyip, will it render sgs unnecessary? Should I sell my sgs? Thank you for reading. :)

Depends on what you do really, It is sort of good for pvp situations such as pvp world, castle wars/clan wars, maybe bandos and zam gwd. Other than that, I seriously can't think of other uses, I would say no to purchasing a Bandos Godsword unless you do those things very frequently.

Jagex does read their appeals about black marks if you send them, but with the costumers support they had before, it adds a personal touch to it. I miss that system. :cry:

If is useful enough, I will pay for it, and my question is really is it that good is worth 900k?

Pretty simple question, is the item worth 900kish? The only upside for it is the mage defense at places such as bandos, barrows, waterfiends. I also do slay alot, so is the leathertop so much better than the black d'hide? PS: I can't afford armadyl now, so please don't suggest it. ;)

Or you fletch the logs into bows(u) and get rid of them using junk trade or lend out items.

When I was fighting the phoenix, I kept noticing my attack and ranging stats were halved for about 10 seconds, then restore to max, then halved again after about 10 seconds. At first I thought it was a bug, but then after defeating and resurrecting the phoenix, we had a little chat. The phoenix said its summon can conjure up ashes to temporarily blind their opponents. So I am assuming the pouch can halve your opponents' attack and range levels as well. Could this be helpful in pvp situations such as clan wars etc?

I wear karil, bring bunyip pouches and use a sgs. I tank them when I have high health and prayer flick melee when my health is low. My sgs restores my prayer, if you do not have one, one prayer potion is enough and about 15 monks are fine for the bunyip. But this is only you want to prayer flick.
