If you have ee and are able to pay attention you could solo-mine, using the rocks you mine for shelter. Otherwise I'd recommend W77, as it is less crowded than 84, yet just as safe.

This is why I never wear any of my skillcapes when offering assists to people. xD

Gem cutting would be fastest I believe, though costly. Sapphires cost around 7 gp/xp with ~225k xp/hr, emeralds 8 gp/xp at ~305k/hr, and rubies 14 at ~390k/hr. Making them into jewellery would cut the losses depending on the price of whatever you make. Hardleather bodies are slower, but cheaper. Not sure on xp/cost rates, but these also depend on whether or not you use SC tools.

Pies are unnecessary once you stop failing the course though, since a boosted level won't make a difference and you won't need healing. That would be around level 74/75 for ape atoll. The aura would probably be a waste of your points since you'll stop failing ape atoll soon, and the amount of fails on the higher courses isn't that bad. Bring ee for additional healing if necessary.

I've never actually kept track of extra magic xp I earned this way, but I did get a few levels on my way from 90 to 99 that way while I fished rocktails. Assuming you alch every 5 seconds, xp would be around 47k/hr, but that could be off. I found it easier to maintain at rocktails as all you really have to do is click every few seconds to alc, and move along with the fishing spots until you have an inventory full of rocktails. Alched battlestaves I made with crafting. In any case it is additional experience to the fishing xp without sacrificing any, so in my opinion it's always worth it for a bonus. |^_^|
