You forget the point of playing a game. If you enjoy it, play. If you don't, don't. I see nothing wrong, like mentioned by others, with playing. Personally I've played since I was 11-ish - I am 18 now, have a job, real life friends, attend college and play some 0,5-2 hours a day on average. In my opinion you're not addicted until you spend every waking moment playing and/or neglect your life to play. It also has NO use "finding something better" because that wíll only result in a real addiction.

What I did is stock up on mithril ore (either mine or buy), get lots of nature runes and mine coal in the mining guild (superheat while mining). You can smith the bars into mithril platebodies at 68, alc those. You'll get a higher level than 70 because you'd have to smelt til 70 (or sell bars but waste xp). I bought around 30-40k mith ore and nats and used the method, smithing all the bars into plates and alcing them, got fair profit and lots of experience in Mining, Smithing and Magic. It is a most enjoyable way of leveling in my opinion. :mrgreen:

Spending money to level magic is an utter waste of money and defeats the purpose of magic as a skill. On my way to level 90, all I have is get profit. I suggest you do the same; either use it while skilling (mining/smithing) or buy things on the side to alc with profit. That would take longer, not the powertrain/wasteful way.

What I did was craft nature runes through the abbys, bought 10-15 or so glories. Might not be the fastest way, but it did get me loads of extra adamantite and mithril ore (I take the portal out of the altar and mine the rocks near it before teleporting Edgeville). Might be longer, but the ores are nice. If you choose not to, you could do natures without mining the ores, just tru abbys, then laws when you can (keep in mind the law altar is on Entrana, same rules apply). Use pouches.

I got wc 99 on yews with dragon hatchet. That was good for my fletching level. :thumbsup:

Happened to me a couple of times. Yesterday I noticed the hunger percentage was 100%, fed it just in time. Stroking is the problem most of the time, though if you feed your kitten a nice little shrimp every 14% and stroke it right after you do so, occaisionally stroke it in between feedings and you should be fine. :mrgreen:

Back to mining, I think that the latest improvements are indeed a good addition to mining. Although I never thought it sucked, I think more people would be satisfied with it now.

Void if you don't need protective armour. Armadyl if you do.

Actually, in F2p body runes are the best exp (excluding gloves). They're also worth more. I agree that their crap, but apparently prices disagree. With gloves, of course, earth runes are the best. ..Anyway, back on topic: Before the change to the new forums I completely slaughtered the idiot that created this thread in the discussion, so the statement in the thread is utterly useless. I think he's not replying here anymore because he knows what an ignorant fool he was and is afraid he'll make a fool out of himself.. again.

I must say I agree that the Living Rocks are indeed a good update, though I still do not believe there should be much more higher leveled rocks (see my earlier point). -- Smithing never was an arcane thing to do for those with phats, and although I see the point, this doesn't apply for those in F2p (earlier post). Actually, yes. :D You raise a most valid point. What I meant was that I could mine the way I have without having to do additional actitities though, which was refreshing. That said, of course this is a personal opinion. You can, but like I said, powermining is definetly not what the skill was meant for. Also, iron is one of those ores that's been a one-hit with rune pickaxe. They'd have to slow the rune pickaxe to make a difference with such low level ores. I don't think that would be a good idea.

Not really? Fire runes are used in the accepted best F2p spells. You're right about monster drops. Fire runes are the highest thing F2p can runecraft? I think not. Ever heard of body runes? http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=runecrafting_calc.htm (look at f2p content).
