  1. Personally I oppose merchanting with a vengeance. I'd buy seeds and go farming. That makes more GeePee's. Alternatively you could go get construction, herblore, summoning and prayer 99 at intervals when you have too many coins.

Is there any hope left? 359.
  3. Sweet. :D
  4. I'm pretty sure most online personality tests are geared towards females :???: I guess that's true. Sensitive men could be manly.
  5. Ah yes, males. xD
  6. Been ages since I looked at this thread.. Shame on me. :(

  9. Just took a friend on that quest and he got 2,000 coins as a reward. :) Since we who did it earlier missed out on 1,940 coins of the 2k reward those that finished it get it anyways. It is the same with Troll Stronghold, which gives 2 xp lamps that give 10,000 experience each. When I returned to Dustan for spiked boots and talked to him I was given these, even though I had completed the quest years ago, so I guess when Jagex adds something to the reward of a quest, those that have done this quest before are able to claim the "additional reward" as well. Edit (at below post): Yep, as far as I remember it was 60 Gp, so anyone who did it before received 60 coins of the 2k reward before, which to keep things fair allows those that missed it to get the full reward for having the quest completed anyway.

Go with the skill you feel like doing at the very moment. Game's about fun and while having fun 99s will follow. ;)
  11. <looks dismally at the 426 items in bank> Yeah, I might need a few more body parts. Only F2p items are counted as "taken" bank spots nowadays, so you won't have to be removing your P2p overflow (or so my exmember friend tells me). For cursing several locations have been mentioned in earlier posts, but I'd like to add the Black knight's fortress. Although it will require some focuss, the level 8 knights shouldn't do much damage at defence 80. Assuming money is an issue for you, if you are able to bank bars you could always go mining and superheat the bars of the kind you can bank (this will generate profit) and then use the profit to buy alcs or alternatively smith the bars while alcing the items you smith. I personally did this with mithril (bringing ores into the guild, banking bars, then smithing + alcing mithril platebodies) until magic 90-ish. Although that might be slower training, if done for only a short while it can still offer cash for faster training methods you might want to utilize.
  12. Having done mining 1-98 entirely in f2p, and the last level with a dragon pickaxe I should say it's worth it. Of course it's fairly expensive, though if you have reasonable wealth I don't see how that can keep you from using it. In my personal opinion it does make mining more pleasant, it looks awesome (if you care about that), and if you do change your mind you can always sell it back. It can also be used for lending if you're into that.
  13. Meh, then there's no point in wc really. I got my 99 long before ivy came out, and remember making quite a bit of cash cutting yews, fletching them into longbows and then alcing them. Mind you, this is not "quick" money, but if you combine it with farming runs every 80-90 minutes you'll find cash piling up while you're still gathering supplies and xp. If you need any help with farming, feel free to join w22 farming (clanchat). I am a mentor there, so could take you on an adjusted farming run and answer any questins you might have.
  14. I believe one general was level 150, the other 2 were 175. The godfather was 138.
  15. I have mine in Brimhaven because that's quite useful when on farming runs. An above poster mentioned having a house there - I have my house in taverly for easy teleports to the heroes guild and the tree patch in Taverly, which for me, is convenient. For MTK I simply use the fairy ring C I P to restore favour and gather the stuff subjects get for you. For Port Sarim there is explorer ring 3, and to get to Spirit Trees you could simply go past the Grand Exchange. Of course it's a matter of what you would use, but my recommendation would be Brimhaven.

Agreed. For Ape Atoll you should either bring agility pots or summer pies. Keep in mind that there's a fishing spot and pineapple spawn next to the course, and banana crates further on in the village.

They are used in farming, as a payment for maple trees. As they were capped at 270 Gp for a good year (med being max and basically unable to buy in g/e) Jagex apparently decided to remove the cap. Removing the cap resulted in price rise, though I suppose the market price for them would be around 500-800 gp after they stabilise.
  18. 1. No, though that's a matter of what you prefer. If you're looking for the faster xp you should use them as they'll make you fight better. 2. Again a matter of what you prefer. I have neither of those blocked as the tasks aren't too bad to do in my opinion, though if you dislike doing them you may want to keep them blocked. Basically the creatures you should block are those you would hate doing, or find hard/expensive to do. 3. That I can't really answer as I don't pay attention to xp/hr rates.

The fastest would be to: 1. Farm the highest level fruit tree you can (one run each day). 2. Farm the highest level normal tree you can (2-4 runs each day). 3. Farm the highest level herbs, flowers and allotment crops you can (1 run every 80-90 minutes). 4. Make supercompost whilst on your herb/allotment runs. If you really have nothing else to you you could do runs past the flower patches every 20 minutes, to grind every xp out of it, but that seems a bit over the top. If you are unfamiliar with farming runs, or need some help with the making of compost or efficiency, feel free to join the clanchat W22 farming. I am a mentor there. We teach farming (among other things) and if you want I could take you on a few adjusted farming runs if necessary.
  20. There's only a few methods of making profit whilst smithing. The first would be to mine your own ores, then smelt bars, and smith platebodies which you alc (loss is reduced profit). Another method is to buy ores partially and mine the rest. Let's say you mine coal and buy iron for example. What usually is profit is making cannon-balls from steel bars, again mining own ores will cut losses extremely. Making gold bars with goldsmithing gauntlets will be loss, however can be slightly cut by using the bars for crafting. Other than that with your current levels the only real profitable methods would be by mining.
  21. Step 25 is incomplete; I wasn't given this scroll as I already had it from the One Small Favour Quest: Suggestion: "...who will provide you with an animate rock scroll. However, if you have this item from the One Small Favour quest, you must retrieve it from your bank, instead." ... Also, for the Freeing Arthur part I would also recommend Falador teleport runes or a glory to teleport to Edgeville to get to the Black Knight's Fortress. (to be added to recommended items) Hope that helps. :) Quest guide: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=178

If you want to know about *some* street prices you could go to the RuneScape forums and look for red mask threads. As for junk, I find it generally is a pain in the [wagon] to get, so if you plan on selling it, you might as well try price x in g/e and see if it sells. That said, I looked at a few threads, and it seems some are trying to get around 10m above the med price, yet potential buyers left 2 of them as they managed to buy them from others or simply didn't respond. One guy tried to get 50m junk along with his mask to sell, no-one was interested there either. My advice would be to go to world 2 and attempt to buy there. That generally is cheaper.
  23. 30-100k Usually it seems 30-70k, or more when people are desperate. It's along the lines of acp and aps.
  24. Hi Squalling. The Quest guide states that the house is to the west already, and it shows you the route. Why would you look at north instead?
  25. I noticed that the Quest guide's steps 3 and 9 could be changed in order to make things go a little faster. I would suggest the following be added to step 3: (Lubufu will now give you a karambwan vessel that you need to catch the karambwan with. To catch karambwan, you'll need to place a raw karambwanji in the karambwan vessel, and then fish at the fishing place next to Lubufu.) "You can drop the vessel and speak to Lubufu again telling him you've lost it. He will give you a second vessel which you will need later on during the Quest." In addition step 9 could be changed: "Go back to Tinsay and use the remaining vessel on him. He will give you some crafting instructions on making a new vessel, which you should take back to Tiadeche, who will agree to come back to the village." (The extra walk to Lubufu is unnecessary) Quest Guide: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=72 Hope that helps. :)
