I agree with your first paragraph but the second is complete bs. Runescape does not teach you anything. All of you saying "Well Rs taught me this!" need to seriously get a reality check. The G.E. is not anything like the real stock market, You're not gaining "social skills" by chatting with players online, and the limited vocab that you do pick up will not help you in life to justify spending hundreds of hours on a game. Yes it is a fun distraction or hobby but it is not at all beneficial. To the people saying "My parents let me watch 10 hours of T.V. but after 2 hours of Runescape they get mad!" It's because T.V. is considered socially acceptable or "normal", whereas sitting in front of a computer for hours on end, is not.
