  1. Hope this helps, my comp is having trouble loading pictures but there was an icon there and a title saying safe spots for rangers. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=643983 Heres a tip:  Next time for quicker results try going to the guides forum and using the search feature of your web-browser. You simply press and hold the Ctrl key then press the 'F' key. You should see a pop-up either in another window or at the bottom/top of your browser. Then type in a key word or two of what you are looking for. (I typed in "Dust" and pressed the next button to find this dust devil guide) It could be faster than waiting for replies around this forum :
  2. I really wouldn't have any idea. I used a d scimmy to train to 80 str and thats where my str will stay for a long time. But IMO, I'm thinking maybe a dragon long will be the best str xp. I don't think its that much slower than a scimmy and it has a spec to speed training up. That's just my opinion though. :)

Wow I am highly interested to finally find out the most mining xp in the game. I heard people say granite was the way to go but they didn't explain it. Time to get 85 mining like I have always wanted \ Thanks a bunch!
  4. Personally I love and always will love Iron Knives and Rock crabs. I went from 21-55 in a day... If i remember right it was 3 or so hours (maybe more I don't know, I lose track of time playing RS #-o ) However I do hear Minotaurs are good for xp too, and you should get a bunch of iron arrows in the process making it cheaper to train later or free if you use iron arrows there.
  5. Oh dear another one.. glad to hear I am not the only. I too recently lost my guthan spear and helm to death. I also lost a whip and rune defender .. Training for 99 defence and I stopped paying attention for like 6-7 mins and I died -.- I also thought about quitting, then the next day I was bored so I hopped on RS :XD: I agree with LaLa, runecrafting is probably your best bet at some money for a new spear. My level is 2 lower than yours, yes I know its boring (well maybe not to you but it sure is to me) But if you really want your spear back, it's one of those things you gotta do. Ya kno? Anyways, the best of luck to you.
  6. I am training for 99 defence now at experiments. (currently 98) At 80 attack and 76 str I was averaging 40-50k xp an hour 55-60k with att and str pots. I am now 85 attack and 80 str.. I haven't calced my avg xp/hour though. Hopefully this gives you some kind of idea what xp/hour your looking at with experiments.
  7. From personal experience I found that rock crabs with iron knives is pretty fast. In fact range was my lowest combat skill at 21 (I was 86 combat at the time) I went to rock crabs and went from 21-55 in a matter of hours.. So maybe you could look into that :)
  8. Hmm, I want to say maybe you could try the trolls in Burthorpe. The ones on the plateau, I am almost certain you donot need a quest to get there. However, I am not sure about your prayer level as having at least 40 prayer to avoid taking heavy damage on entrance is recommended, but you could stock up on sharks and run through there maybe only use 4-5 sharks possibly less (I always use the prayer and have 98 defence, so I am usure about their hits on a 1 def pure) Once on the plateau though run a directly south to the hut, set up your cannon in the entrance to the hut and run around the back of the hut until you need to reload. Mind you I am not sure if this is a good idea, just a suggestion is all. On second thought, this area is not multi, and I am unsure as to how the cannons work in non-multi combat areas.
  9. I died and lost 7-8m worth of items... jeez that sucks... ah well life goes on eh? Bought a new whip and headed to experiments where I trained from 70-80 Att, Def, and Str.. What a bummer.. At least I didn't lose my fury, only a guthan helm and spear... oh and my whip, and only rune defender, uhh my only zerker helm and some full rune w/ boots... my only wealth (ah well I'll make a new one or 3)... oh yeah and the 300+ rune arrow I forgot to bank Im more upset about that than nething else.
  10. Anyone know how long it will take to get this, working straight through. I know I need 200 Tel, 300 Alch, 2000 Enchant, 200 GraveYard points. My question is, how long time wise would it be?
  11. Hey good luck. I would like to get 99 Hunter too sometime, but for now its 99 def One question though, and I am sure you get it all the time. How are you still 10 hp with all those stats? I really havent the slightest clue lol. Thanks, and good luck.
  12. 7 Day bump... Gotta show the love Guru smells tho. :-# 99 Def Pl0x
  13. uhh Bump from the dead?!?! :-k Well I have 98 Defence now. Looking to get 99 by the end of the month (at the most) Thanks for the support all 6 of you lol. Nice to see 3d again. Long time no see. Message me in game when you get back on again. Maybe get that 70 smithing this month as well.
  14. I enjoyed your video. It's been awhile since I have seen a good pk video. I do have a question though, why did u have your rune c-bow and karils. If you never used it. Personally I love seeing pks with the rune c-bow. I remember watching a video the other day of a guy just going into wildy and fighting random people with his rune c bow(he had 99 range and 90 def, 102 cmb) I enjoyed that video alot even though he didn't get alot of pks if any. Next time can you please pulll out some c-bow pks? Lol for the people like me (however little there are) who enjoy a good cbow pk with enchanted addy darts.
  15. Here is my take on it: I hear of some people using the mage arena in Al K for good experience. I don't know if you will gain/lose or break even with this method. You could always high alch yew longs. That will make you a profit but probably take kinda longer. Definatly one of the more old fashioned/popular ways to train though it might take longer. Then you could try Pest Control. Now being a past PC user I know it gets boring as all hell but it is highly effective and it is by far the fastest way to train. Personally I wouldn't suggest this for anyone. I despise the new pc (with a passion). Hmm, I also believe people use curse, but I think that is only to a certain level and then they use something else to 99, but it is something you could look into. Ice Burst/Barrage & MM Dungeon Its more like a splinter theory created off of the range training method using chins. I figure, if you get an ancient staff, burst/barrage runes(burst in your case) and a load of p pots. Ah top and bottom. Best prayer bonus items in your other slots. Set up in the monkey madness dungeon, under a overhang near the skeleton monkeys and have yourself a ball ^-^ . I don't know entirely if that would work, but I will definatly experiment with it a little later after 99 def and 90 attack. [Thinking about it now, you could probably save some money on prayer pots and use blood burst/barrage. I am not entirely sure how this spell works but to my understanding it takes hp from an opponent and give it to the caster.] (EDIT:^^ It has been brought to my attention that this is not my theory and that it has been thought of/used before and it does in fact work.)
  16. Well if you are looking for something just to look good may I suggest you take advantage of the new clothing update. I find the prince legs and nice vest to look like that of the elegant worn by members. It does look nice (IMO) and wouldn't be such a bad choice. If you are looking to spend money, I believe rune armor with any trimming would be your best bet. Personally I like rune (t) or sara trimmed rune. Its all a matter of preference.
  17. :wall: Well I can't be around the forums all the time. I just came up with the idea on the fly :XD: Sorry if I took credit for someone elses theory/idea. I am happy to hear it does work though :D .
  18. I believe it is somewhere in the area of 35k red chins for 99 Hunter from 63-99. On Topic: I believe you can get 99 cooking in a matter of weeks 2 or 3 to be exact. Thats not even if your no lifing. Fletching I'm sure is easier now with "string-x". So that may take a month and a half at the most. Any of the "buy able" skills are going to be relatively fast given you can buy ample amount of the supplies for one sitting. IE: Herblore, Cooking, Fletching, Mage (alching), Construction (oak larders FTW), Crafting, Prayer, Firemaking and Smithing. I realize all of these are not "easily" obtainable, but they are buy able and would be faster then say any of the other stats. With the exception of woodcutting (willows) and fishing (monks) Hope that helps.

  20. Ah you are just like me. I hate buying materials when I can just collect them myself and save money while gaining experience. But a old friend of mine (The_Tallest1) we are still friends now, told me "You have to spend money, to make money". Well when he told me that I was highly skeptical and just kept going about my daily routine of collecting my own items and skilling that way. Being a "pack rat" and saving everything I gained. Then a skill that I wanted 99 in hit me, it was fletching (This was before the achievement capes) Well instead of spending years cutting my own yews and making my own b strings... I started to actually buy my materials and found it still to be quite profitable and time saving. Now with that out of the way, although I don't quite know where I was going with it. All I am saying is sometimes you are better off buying supplies and saving time. Like with your smithing goal for instance. Mining was my favorite stat until I hit 77 (at combat level somewhere in the 30's...) and I got burnt out on it. Haven't trained it since... but I do plan on getting 99 smithing. Only I will buy my supplies then resell so I will not be taking any huge monetary losses. You see sometimes you have to give up xp in order to save time and sanity. Anywho, enough about me pestering you with my pointless stories, enjoy your goals and the best of luck to you with them.
  21. I know this has already been suggested, however, you should give it a second consideration. Flesh Crawlers are quite possibly by far the fastest combat xp you can get in F2P. Think of them as the rock crabs or experiments of F2P. They hit low, have decent hp and have rather consistent drops which are stackable. Stackable drops mean you can stay longer and collect more than usual before banking. Also consider that many F2P's get 99 in their combat stats at the Flesh Crawlers, so you getting 80 combat should not be a problem. Especially if you train everything consistently. I.E. Train all your stats up 5 levels at a time. 5 attack levels, then switch to str and gain 5 of those, then get 5 defence levels, so on and so on.. :) Hope you take those into consideration. They are very good xp. You could even try switching it up every now and then. Try out fleshies, get a couple of combat levels, and then if you don't like them you could head back to lessers. You know
  22. hmm well they are all pretty much closest to a bank as you can get. Personally I prefer glories with an Edgville tele or Draynor tele. If you want somthing cheaper duel rings are great since they tele you to the closest bank to tele spot which is castle wars. You figure Fally west and Varrock west bank are equal distances from the teleport spot. Cammy as well is pretty close. I would say Watchtower is the furthest from the bank and Ardy is a pretty decent walk to either one of its banks... Personally I think Lumby is the closest to a bank if you have members and can bank in the chest in the castle basement, but then again in the time it takes for you to open all those doors (if not already open) and go down the ladder you may have already been walking into the front door of the Fally west bank. I believe this is what you are asking for as far as I can understand. If not please make it more clear and I will see if I can answer your question better at another time.
  23. I never thought bout doing bolts. Thanks for the idea I will definatly take that into consideration as it will be more interesting, I think, to make bolts over cannonballs.
