what is the chance of being pk in abyss
I've not done much Abyss Runecrafting, because every time I do there seem to be Abyss PKers =/ But they'll attack you one of two ways: Regular Mage: Teleblock, Snare, attack. Hopefully you'll have time to run if you get teleblocked, and can get into the Abyss before the PKer Snares you (immobile for 10 seconds). If he's successful in the combo, that's gonna be trouble. Ancient Mage: Ice Burst/Rush. This attack freezes you in place for 10/5 seconds, and does a lot of damage (up to 22/16). They usually do a few of these on you in a row. Both kinds of mages like to come in to finish you off with a DDP++ special. Your armor is one of the most important factors here. The better your armor, the less likely you are to be PKed. (1) Because the PKer knows his spells will work better against weaker ranger armor, so he's gonna keep an eye out for those in Red and Blue Dragonhide. (2) Most mages will splash an awful lot agains Black Dragonhide. Not so much with Blue. In the end, whether the Runecrafter is wearing Blue or Black, the prize is the same: glory amulets. So, it's best to have 70 Range/Def and wear Black Dragonhide, and let the PKers go after the folks in weaker armor. That being said, I'm one of the schmo's in Red, and seem to attract a lot of attention.

Chinchompa Analysis
If you're in CW or PC, and you through into a big melee, do your teammates take damage as well? Like when a splatter goes off? Or is it like an Ice Barrage, somehow intelligent, and your buddies stay safe.

Post your Manage thy Kingdom results.
So, Bedman spent 600K on Maples. He'll automatically get 1.2 Mill for selling the logs. The seeds: 5 yew tree seeds (325-425K)! 2 magic tree seeds (300-350K)! 4 calquet tree seeds ( 200K)! That's about 900K just on those seeds alone. What's more, I'm sure there are about another 50 or so assorted seeds (not worth mentioning), yet are worth about 400K more. Maples are clearly the best way to go to make money. I just wish I could bring myself to sell the seeds and not plant 'em!

Hopefully I/we didn't come across as overly critical. Just hoping to point out ways to alleviate some of your concerns, and help you make the most out of managing your kingdom. And don't you want keep your approval at 100% so your vassals will adore you? J/K of course, trying to keep things a little light. That is my advice, although a lot of folks go for coal instead of flax. I'm not hip to that jive myself if you're going for pure profit.

You've got about 100 days to work on it. (7,500,000/75,000) Re: profitability... The tree seeds you get from maples make it the most profitable place to put your workers. #1 Maples: cost you about 52 gp/each to gather, but you can sell for 100. You also get about another 100 gp in tree seeds. That makes the profit about 300%. #2 Flax: cost is about 40, sells for 100. Profit is 150%. Herb seeds bonus nothing like tree seeds. Approx 2 herb seeds per day if 10 resources. #3 Coal: cost is about 92, you sell for 180-200. Profit is 100-130%. Gem bonuses are nothing like tree seeds, arguably worse then Flax. (3.6 gems per day/11 gems every 3 days) #4 Herbs: about 100% profit (You get 60/day, 1/2 are tarromin or harralander), bonuses are fairly terrible. Wouldn't bother (although I usually do it to collect for herblore rather than farming). At some point in the day, I'm using the Fairy Rings, and just make a quick stop. It's about 90 seconds at most.

If you're being sarcastic, lol. If you're not, please let me know when you're going to collect, and I'll be there to pick up what will likely be several 100Ks or a million in seeds.

And make sure you come back every day and mine a coal ore, cut a few maples, etc. Your daily approval rating effects how efficient your workers are. Plus, you're engaged. It'd be kinda rude not to visit your betrothed for over a month :shame:

I believe you're the one who's got it wrong: Now maybe Tip.it is lying or they've got it wrong, but this is pretty clear evidence to support the notion that, if you don't keep approval up every day, the cost of the goods you're gathering is essentially going up.

You did WHAT?! You put 500K into Miscellania, yet went on to drop over 220K worth of tree seeds? For crying out loud, those dropped seeds were worth almost as much as trees! But you kept 2.7K in rubies, and 3.2K in emeralds. Good gawd. I hope I'm misunderstanding your post somehow. And if you put only 500K in and left it there, your money was likely used up in less than 2 weeks. There was no reason to wait 30 days.

Making Laws, Passing Laws, And Selling Laws to people.
If you can buy pure ess at 100, and sell laws at 350, then it sounds like you're going to be makeing around 250K/hour selling for 350 each in bulk on forums. Remember, if you have to stand around in a F2P bank trying to sell laws at 400 or 500 each, that's time that could be spent crafting more laws and selling quickly in bulk. I don't think the in-game demand at that price is great enough to move the laws fast enough to justify this. Plus, you're not getting XP in anything while diddling about in an F2P bank *shudder*. I will say, though, there's the additional benefit of getting some decent deals on other stuff while you're in F2P hawking laws. That could, possibly, justify the time spent. I prefer to just unload them on forums, though.

air runner cost
Assuming you're giving noted ess back as well, and that you bought for 25 each, you're losing 30 gp/ess runecrafted at your level. Breakeven is level 55, assuming selling airs for 18 and buying ess for 25.

Ghasts, Food, Druid Pouches and Mort Myre Fungi
So you're saying that they don't rot the fungi, as they rot the food? That is most excellent news. Seems like the Druid Pouch is entirely unneccessary, then, if you have a decent enough defense level.

fairy tale part 1 help
I read on another website that it was required only for the finishing blow. But, I too did the quest many months ago so I can't say with any certainty, but I too had trouble hitting the beastie with anything but the secateurs. I know that I switched over very quickly and then had little-to-no trouble using the secateurs. I never tried to mage or range it, though.

Ghasts, Food, Druid Pouches and Mort Myre Fungi
Found one of the answers to my own question (guess that means I was too quick to post :anxious: when I should have been researching. Lazy git.): I guess I'll just have to make sure I only have branches in the inventory when I click to fill.

Ghasts, Food, Druid Pouches and Mort Myre Fungi
I'm just curious... I haven't tried this, but as I gather Mort Myre fungi for herblore, I'm often assailed by a good 3-5 ghasts as I fill up the aul inventory (I collect just inside the gates to Mort Myre swamp). As such, I lose 3-6 Mort Myre Fungi from my Druid Pouch each trip. I was wondering a few things: (1) as I bless the Mort Myre Fungi on logs, I often bless some branches. Can I stick those branches in my pouch instead of fungi? Never tried before, but the thought just came to me. (2) if you're not carrying food or a Druid Pouch with stuff in it, Ghasts drain energy. But if I'm collecting Fungi, will the Ghasts first rot the fungi in my inventory in lieu of being transformed via the Druid Pouch, or draining energy? (3) if I bring some junky food that I have in my inventory, will the Ghasts rot that food first, and then move on to my Mort Myre Fungi? Ergo, if I bring like 8 trout, by the time they get to the last one, my prayer is gone and I can leave without losing any Mort Myre Fungi or energy? Thanks in advance.

New Strung rabbit foot !
Six loads of willows, no nests... I normally do better than that even without this strung rabbit's foot. EDIT: On my 9th or 10th load, I got two nests in a row. Odd.

Level 70 crafting worth it?
Crafting and alching elemental battlestaves is usually pretty quick, and you don't lose money. Just a little risky, as you need to go through wildy, usually, for the fast routes.

Iggy. I can do the quest, actually.

best way to get 20k air and 8k mind runes?
If you have about 500K burning a hole in your pocket, buy them. If you have ~10 hours to kill, Runecraft them.

Problems getting pouch
Keep in mind, as pouches degrade and require repair, you've got to back the regular infested Abyss to get them fixed.

Level 70 crafting worth it?
With Miscellania, you get 1,250 Flax/day if you put the maximum number of workers on it. That takes a little over an hour to spin into bowstrings, and you could then sell for close to 200K in profit. So if you're not in some sick rush, you could hit 70 in about a month just wandering up to Miscellania every couple of days.
