4K Zeal with Red Chinchompas
Part of me wants to be selfish and doesn't want too many people to know :P But basically, there are two portals where they are best used. The one that's usually ready first is the portal to the west of the void knight (basically, if the lander is at the bottom of your screen, the portal to the right). It needs a good minute or so to get primed and clogged, though. It doesn't always get primed though, as it's the second easiest portal to take down. Usually, though, 1 out of every 3 games it'll be primed and ready. The other portal is the one just south of it, the pink portal to the south west of the Void Knight. The pink one, however, is rarely clogged. Maybe once every 10-15 games, though, and only if the game starts going really long. OK, so the game starts... I rush in, use the dragon battle axe special, sip a restore potion, and then use my whip on the yellow/orange portal to the south east. After that's down, I move to the western portal I mentioned above. I go after it with the whip if there is no congestion, and then use the Chinchompas if necessary. After that portal is down, I rush to the pink, and see if it needs Chinchompas. And I like to throw at low level Brawlers if I can. I can't prove it, but I think their large size increases the area of effect. Plus, they always seem to be in range. Smaller creatures blocked by the Brawlers cannot be directly targeted, but they get splashed. Prayer also helps. I think it's too risky to use a Ranging potion, because you never know when the game is gonna be one of those 30 second ones.

 Oh do forgive me for trying to use a Runescapian colloquialism on a Runescape fansite. Danged if you do, danged if you don't. Well, they may "seem" that way to you, but they're not. They're at at least as fast as a MSB, although if you miss, you generally miss all. However, when you hit, you hit en masse. A single Chinchompa, if used correctly, can get you about 200-1,000+ Range xp. The upper limit is very hard to determine (unless you are, in fact, limited to ten victims, which I don't think is true), especially around an very clogged portal. A single cannonball gets you, on average, 30 Range XP (15 hits x 2xp). Chinchompas cost 200-300 (at least now they do). Cannonballs cost 175-200. People generally think of cannonballs as the fastest (albeit more expensive) way to get Range XP. Chinchompas blow them out of the water, both in terms of gp/XP and speed. Is it cheaper to get your range XP using iron arrows and a mage bow? Possibly, although I think that if used properly a person can make a case that Chinchompas could be cheaper, too. But Chinchompas are insanely faster. I could never go back to training using arrows. No way. There's a reason it took me months to get 64 Range, and then maybe a dozen pest control hours to get to 76. I hated training range. It's finally fun and fast, and I look forward to training on things with drops (Dagganoths, Bandits, thanks for the suggestions).

I've paid between 200-300 each. Average around 225 each.

4K Zeal with Red Chinchompas
LOL, it's not always that good. I use Chinch's as a secondary weapon when the situation warrants it. It's my hi-score so far. I can usually get between 1-2K every game, with previous highs around 3K a few times. But the XP is ridiculously fast when the chance to use them comes up. I have no idea. I wish I had kept track. I can usually get about 50-100 zeal per Red Chinch (200-400 xp). So it could have been 40-80. I've just accepted that these things are the only way I can train range and have fun. I suck it up and buy the things, and I think they're worth it.

4K Zeal with Red Chinchompas
I died about 6 times in this game, but Red Chinchompas FTW! As a note, the void Knight had 12 health and that portal was at full when I was taking out the spinners (and anything else in the area). And I still had one or two attacks that weren't in the total yet. That's 16K range XP in 6 minutes with 75 Range. Somehow we pulled it out (great timing on the screen capture too :P ). Red Chinchompas FTW!

God, how long must they take?
I don't want to harp on this much longer, so you're more than welcome to the last word over this. I wasn't, in my example, comparing the gravity of a real-world offense to one in RS. I was pointing out the effect that punishment of rule breakers has on others contemplating breaking the same rule. At the end of the day there are real people playing this game, and motivations and deterrents work the same as they would outside RS. If you bought cash online, yet all you had to do was return it if you're caught, then there's no real RS punishment for your transgression. The only deterrent would be some loss of cash in the real world. Were that the case, people who had lots of real-world money could take the risk over and over again, gaining a spectacular advantage over folks in real life who are of more modest means. In the real world, if criminals who were caught robbing others were only forced to give the money back as punishment (and there was no prison time), do you think more folks would start robbing others? You betcha. Others are going to read this thread, they're going to see you're perma-banned for buying GP online. They're going to think looong and hard about buying gp online. Most, after having invested hundreds of hours into their character, will say ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åit̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s just not worth it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Why people still trying to get slayer 85? :-\
Well, it really seems that you're just jaded. Probably a fault of the game, in that new and exciting things when you're at your level are so hard to come by, and when they do, they quickly lose their lustre. But call people stupid for still being excited about the game just rankles me. But for those of us who've never killed an Abyssal Demon, and who've never seen that first Abyssal whip drop sitting there, the thought is very, very exciting. Regardless of the resale price of said whip. You may no longer see the value, or experience any sense of excitement at the thought of actually getting a whip as a drop, but the majority of Runescapers who haven't sure still do. There will never be any additional excitement crafting nats (barring the occasional Abyss PKer). Working to 85 slayer, and then killing Abyssal Demons is an "Edge of your seat"-type excitement for us who haven't done it. Sorry you're so jaded, and that your sole purpose in playing Runescape has become the accumulation of pixellated wealth. Forgive our stupidity for not being so jaded yet.

Friend attempting to get me baned
If it's any consolation, that person is in violation of Rule 10 by falsely reporting you, and it's possible that they will receive a few black marks of their own.
-
Friend attempting to get me baned
First off, how you consider this person a friend is beyond me. Secondly, the person reporting you needs to have evidence of you violating either of those rules within about 60 seconds of the time of the offense. If you were neither logged in under multiple names, nor macroing at the time, there is nothing for you to worry about. You won't be banned simply because someone reported you for doing something. There needs to be some kind of evidence as well. Neither violation applies. You should be fine.

help with construction skill
Specifically, carved oak tables. Some would recommend buidling and removing oak larders in your kitchen. I'm no sure if that's really any faster, although it might be. I trained construction flatpacking carved oak tables on my workbench.

God, how long must they take?
That is not punishment. You seem to think that you should not be subjected to punishment. Let's say in the real world I rob you of $10,000 dollars. I get caught with the money in my backpack. Could you imagine how hard the coppers would laugh if I said to them, as they sat there with me in irons, the $10,000 on the table, my fingerprints all matching up, and I said "Oh, OK, you got me. If I give the money back, you'll let me go, right? I promise I won't do it again. I've learned from my 'mistake'*." If they did let me go, what is the message they've just sent to all the other low-lives out there: You can try at least once, and if you're caught, there's really no risk, just some lost real world cash. If you're thinking that having lost the money you spent buying gold online is punishment in Jagex's eyes, methinks you might be beyond help here. Your account is gone. Forever. If "macroing" were, in fact, a more serious offense, they would not get banned for only a few days. If it makes you feel any better, I'm all for macroers being perma-banned as well. *I love it when people who willfully break the rules/law have the stones to call it a 'mistake'. As if seeking out a website to buy gp online, selecting the right package, entering your credit card information, address, confirming the transaction was all some big elaborate accident. A mistake is when you buy regular milk instead of lowfat, or you maybe added wrong when buying something in a RS trade, offering too little gp for an item. You did something wrong. You did not make any kind of mistake.

God, how long must they take?
If you were not permanently banned for buying gps in real world trading, then everyone would go around buying gold online. That is a major offense. The reason most folks do not buy gp online is because of the fear of losing their accounts permanently. Take away that fear, and Houston, we have a problem. In your case, that account is gone forever, as it should be. I read lots of posts like these, and have to wonder where people come from, this land that teaches people that punishment for willful rule-breaking is somehow unfair?

>>TIME TO CUT YEWS WITH WC LVL 61<<
Translated into more helpful language: you shouldn't be cutting Yews at level 61. Even though technically you can, it will be very slow, and if the trees are competitive, you're not going to get much at all. Keep cutting willows until you're about level 70. Slash and burn, baby. slash and burn. Or slash and bank. The XP is going to come a lot faster.

Where Can i find a Rune War Hammer?
As I understand it, the store in Relleka can stock it, but always has a base inventory of 0. :wall: So unless someone has just sold that item to the store, and you purchase it within 1 minute, you're SOL in Relleka.
-
Would someone help me?
You actually only need to do Heroes Quest to charge glories. Not Legends.
-
Where Can i find a Rune War Hammer?
You need to buy in-game from a player with 94 smithing. It should cost you between 50-60K.

Gotta love that crazy RS economy...
Those prices are correct. Have been for quite a while. As such, it's usually much easier for a person to cut their own logs if they're trying to fletch arrow shafts. At least, that's what I've found. It takes no time at all to cut and fletch about 10K arrowheads if you go out with an axe and knife in your inventory. If you're in the right spot, it's maybe 45 seconds to cut 27 trees (405 shafts). It's like 1 hour to do 10K shafts (1/2 of which you would have had to spend fletching, as you would have had you bought them). So it's like an extra 30 minutes cutting trees, and you save about 65K. If you're looking to make planks, well, you're shoot outta luck.

best way to train crafting
A profitable way to boost crafting is by crafting, enchanting and then high-alching elemental battlestaves. I'm assuming that you're going to collect sand and soda ash (can be purchased cheap from Charter crewmembers throughout Runescape) 7,800: battlestaff and 3 Cosmic runes, 1 Nature Rune. Each battlestaff is 150+ crafting xp, and they high alch for 9.3K. You can usually profit at least 1-1.5K per battlestaff. Do 1K of 'em, you get 150K+ crafting XP, 1-1.5 million gp profit, and 130K+ Mage XP (between charging orb and high alching them). You can forgo much of the profit by purchasing molten glass on forums for 1K each. It's faster, but I think world hopping to accumulate sand and soda ash are worth it. There are other variations you can pursue after completing the "Lunar Diplomacy" and "Hand in the Sand" quests that make it faster and cheaper as well. You can start out doing like 120 of 'em, and after each run, you can do progressively more and more.

where to burn logs
There always seems to be folks burning logs outside the Port Phasmatys bank. There is a huge open path directly outside the bank.

Chinchompa Analysis
Get your training in with the Red Chinchompas while you can. I have to think that word is going to get out about how awesome these things are in PC, and soon there are going to be loads of people coming to PC just to frag Pests with these things. As such, it's going to be harder and harder to get those 1, 2 and 3K hit games if there are 5 or 6 people hanging around lobbing rodential ordinance at the Brawlers clogging the portals.

What Should I Work On
I was very bored recently, went out and bough 2K Chinchompas for 250 each and had a lot of fun at Pest Control on really crowded portals. The only fun way I've found to train Range. It's something different, at least. I went from 64 to 70 Range using about 2K Chinchompas (and one 100 PC point bonus) as a secondary PC weapon when portals were jammed. I'm bored again now, but it was a fun interlude.

Is swift switch allowed?
http://kbase.runescape.com/lang/en/aff/ ... le_id=2426 Some third party clients do not violate the terms and conditions, in that they do not give you an unfair advantage over other players in-game. As such, using them does not violate RuneScape's terms and conditions, and will not end up in a ban. However, the slight speed advantage that a player might get from saving 20 seconds when switching worlds pales to what you could lose by using a third party client: all your stuff from a hacker. Some will argue that certain well-established third party clients pose no risk. There is always a risk with unaccountable, anonymous people on the internet writing a free program that has the capability of taking your RS username and password. The benefit? Negligible, you can switch worlds faster. The risk? Losing all the tradable stuff in your bank. It boggles my mind that people would ever weigh those risks/rewards and still end up using a 3rd party client. (1) The original anonymous, unaccountable author could always build a hack later on down the road, once tens of thousands are using the 3rd party client; (2) as the quality control involved in the 3rd party client is unknown, some fourth party could hack the 3rd party client software (unlike Runescape, who has quality control people and a vested financial interest in keeping your account details safe and secure) (3) delivery of the 3rd party client can be corrupted, and include malicious software alongside the 3rd party client installation.

Chinchompa Analysis
You cannot judge Chinchompas based on "max hit". If you're in PC, you often have numerous pests stuck in one space. They all get hit. I may be only nickle and diming them for 5-10 hits, but if there's 10-20 of them in the area of effect (and there sometimes are, piled up in front of a portal, held back by brawlers). Once or twice, I got 200 hits per frickin' rat thrown (and I started the day at 64 range). Several PC games I got 2,000+ points in 3-4 minutes. That's 8K xp. And I wasn't using the chompas the whole time, either. I start out with the old DDP++ specials, whip, and only use the Chinchompas if i come across a really backed up portal. The XP is insane. Wear ranging armor into PC, keep some chompas handy but play as usually would. And whenever you see that huge pile up in front of a portal, let loose. You'll be amazed at the results. I gave Jagex a lot of grief over Hunter. I take it all back. The Chinchompas are worth it.
