have you got windows xp? if you have go to start -> Acessories -> System Tools -> System Restore. Go through the menus about restoring to an earlier date and select a restore point a few days before when you went away and see if that helps.

i've got a socket 939 board and theres another power connection needed near the processor for the computer to power up as well as the main one. its a four pin connector like this, it should be on your power supply somewhere obviously if you dont have a connector like this it cant be that. Also you should check that the power supply is at 300 w

is it a family computer? if so your account is limited and you wont be able to load rs. To fix it log on to you the administrator account and try loading rs. From what i can gather from the message you will only need to do this once. Then you can play rs on your normal account

Find out what speed your internet is meant to be from your isp, this will give you an idea what modem you should get. Torrents are generally slow because the 'seeds' are people with an ADSL connection which means that the upload speed is a lot lower than the download speedbecause most people are downloading stuff at home rather than uploading. Servers on the internet however use SSDL which means the upload and download speed are equal, it can upload at decent speed and so it seems fast. And in answer to the last question im in england and get downloads speeds of 8Mbps but not a lot of servers output at this speed :(

Firstly i find that celeron processors aren't that great, this is just my opinion but i prefer AMD processors because they seem more reliable. Secondly if you turn the visualization off in mediaplayer, it lowers media player cpu usage to about 3% or possible 6% in your case. Thirdly it might be an idea to ram for your computer.

Go into your router and find something called pc database or something like that and change your computer to a fixed ip address eg 192.168.0.5 and see if that fixes it

one simple answer get a network cable and whack it through the wall and connect that to the router. wireless can be a bugger with pc's never mind playstations.

As far as i can understand your laptop should connect to the router wirelessly and the computer should be wired to the router then go to control panel on one of the computers and run network setup wizard. go through that and then do the same on your laptop with the same settings. Make sure you turn file and printer sharing ON. Then to install the printer on your laptop go to my network places --> 'Your desktops comp name' click on that then click on the icon for your printer and it will install it

From Runescape website You could try messing around with the memory available to java or closing all uneeded processes that are open. Rs needs a minimum of 64 mb of ram to run. Failing that, install more ram
