  1. Ditto, I got a supposedly "quiet" fan for my Themaltake Shark and it sounds like a hair drier.
  2. I feel his name has been tied onto it in a marketing attempt. I dont expect him to have much input at all.
  3. Got humor?... I wrote that as the admin of the Facebook group. Its meant to be light hearted. And yes, Bubsa has heard of me we are good friends. It was me that recorded the Power of Bubs song if you recall?.
  4. And the pic awesome! Get the album as a present for friends and family, time for a good laugh :D
  5. "Lord of the Rings helmsman Peter Jackson will produce a two-film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit - but he will not write or direct" *grumbles*
  6. The breakdown in the family unit is often cited as a major cause of the rise in "chav culture". Of course its up to you if you believe the stats on that, the figures may or may not be correlated.
  7. Those people who are against the idea of a marriage ceremony probably havent been to one for a long time or are hiding their true feelings so they dont get buirned by getting their hopes up. My friend got married earlier this year and it was an incredibly amazing day. She looked so beautiful in the dress and everyone was so happy. It was not a religious ceremony in the slightest and was performed in Bath Registry and the photos were taken in the Parade Park. It shows true commitment to your partner and while the meaning may have been lost a little i think its still important. The reason for the high divorce rate is purepy to do with people getting married when they shouldnt, not the marriage itself being the cause of the breakup. I want to be married in a similar ceremony to my friend with no religious elements, Bath is such a beautiful city too. I would hope that my partner would understand my own wishes on the matter of not getting married in a church by a vicar. While it may be the perfect white wedding in her eyes it would make me very uncomfortable and not really the kind of feelings you want for your "big day" And yes I want kids too. Two or three please, 2 girls and a boy ^_^. So long as one of them is called Laika my partner can name the others
  8. An appropriate username, hehe

I went in some stores and noted that plasma screens are really reflecting, and given that the TV will be in a room with a big window, I thought that LCD would be better. Is that fair enough? LCDs have matt screens and reflect less but dont go up as big as plasmas. You should have no problem getting a 32 or 36 inch LCD tho which fits your needs. What kind of response time for an LCD should I be aiming for so that I won't notice it (I don't watch really fast sports particularly, so I don't need top-of-the-range)? My brother bought a cheap 32 inch LCD recently and to be honest the picture is kinda slow and poor, I don't want that. You buy cheap, you buy twice, what TV did your brother buy. Ive not had any problems with watching on my Bravia. Does Freeview come with HD channels? I vaguely heard about BBC HD. Given that Freeview keeps changing, will having a built-in freeview player in the tv actually be useful, or will i just need to buy a new one in a year or two? No. And its unlikely to happen in the very near future. When your TV is advertised as HD ready it most likely means its hot a HDMI port so you can plug in a HD-DVD player/Bluray or PS3 into it. BBCHD is available free with a SkyHD box or VirginMedia box but not on freeview. Don't expect anything HD on freeview until at least when the analogue is switched off in 2012. Do I need 1080p, what about 1080i or the other whatever-they-ares? Depends how much you want to pay, you don't NEED 1080p to watch HD stuff and most of it is still only filmed in 720p anyway. Some people have told me that their DVD player 'scales up' their normal DVDs and they get them in better quality. Is this actually true? What do you need for that? Yes upscaled DVD players do make films look nicer on a HD-TV. You can get upscaling players for pretty cleaply these days. HDDVD and Bluray players upscale dvds too. I read stuff about HDMI connections and things. Are they necessary/good for HD hardware like a PS3 to work to its full potential? Not neccesary YET. HDMI is hard to explain but its a way of stopping copyright theft basicly. It has the ability to force you to watch HD-DVDs/Blueray discs in only standard definition if you dont chain up your HD kit properly or if the keys are revoked for your player in order to stop copyright theft. Thankfully no companies have used this feature yet, but they will. You can watch HD stuff without HDMI via composites etc but i doubt this will be the case forever hope that helped.
  15. Yeah kinda Sith. Another forum I go on is dedicated to people with Honda Civics and every so often an admin puts the pictures ppl post in the thread like this into a separate area without all the comments so its easier to find the pictures of peoples cars. I dont mean replace this with one without comments I mean run it alongside it.
  16. Is the faith you have in your religion so weak that a 2 hour long motion pictures can tear it all down?
  17. Hungry Jack's then :P As for home cooked meals... love them :D
  18. Quality... I don't mind waiting if it's fresh, hot and taste good. You might wanna try a different buger chain then. p.s The quote in bold is from a film called Poultrygeist. While a spoof horror/comedy it does deliver a serious message. If its ever in Aus near you, check it out.
  19. At Burgerking do you want quality or do you want it fast? :-k
  20. Who are all these people anyway? Since when have these ppl been active off topicers lol. Posers/Attention seekers take note: I wasnt aware that the point of this thread was to post comments about other peoples pictures. I thought that it was meant for us to post a nice picture of ourselves to people could put a face to the name not a topless "rawr look at my sexy body" or cleavage shot type picture designed purely to get compliments from people. If you wanna show off your body post it on Myspaze and make your profile public. *would like to see a version of this thread with NO COMMENTS only pictures*
  21. Playing with HTML can be fun. Unfortunately most people don't know how to do it properly and end up creating a complete mess of code which breaks in every browser. The websites that offer skins to use on your profiles are just as bad and result in really bloated code that are incredibly slow to load. Myspace should change to only be able to edit a select few fields. Background/Bgcolour and font colours. Only sponsored pages should be able to be skinned properly with css. Unfortunately for every nicely designed Myspace page there's about 500 poorly designed ones.
  22. The Evilion album is great, I still listen to that
  23. Watched an episode on BBC4, thought it was dreadful. :(
