New staff were employed for FunOrb. Any staff that moved from RS to FO had replacements recruited. Having a new game will not mean that RS is updated any less.

That was for a non profit that does health services and he was hired to do the job, this is a rpg game fansite and the person was a volunteer ... Volunteer or not he was EX staff and thus not employed in any way by tipit. He accessed the server unauthorised and deleted personal data. It doesnt matter that this is a gaming site, what he did was illegal.

If everybody held back on innovating and trying new things just incase a competitor copied then noone would get anywhere in business. Your logic is flawed.

I think he means the custom sigs only being able to be used on Tipit and not on other sites like other ones do.
