Listen to some music or watch tv ect. But NOT in bed. As soon as you get comfortable in bed you are likely to fall asleep. But why do you want to stat awake until 11, if you are feeling tired much before that then maybe you really do need more sleep, its not "messed up" at all.

They are also pretty dangerous, would be harsh to get shot in the eye with one of those :(
