Its got hardly anything to do with frames its about number of colours. Your fading is over a gradient background so not only does it have to store the individual colours that make up the background but also the tints and tones of that colour while the text fades on top of it. The glow also means theres are more colour variants which in turn add to the increased filesize. Your sig is also very large, there is a lot of data to be stored there and its just not possible to get that within the limits.

Fading transisions will always make a filesize massive. Its not nessesary for the sig. Take it off and save as jpg

If someone says "2 hours from the time of this post" then it doesnt matter what time zone or what DST. Because whatever you have set in your profile will show the time it was posted according to your own time zone. If people dont have it set right in their profile then its their own fault for getting the times wrong.

Aslo the default installation of phpBB means you cant set limits on remote avatars anyway. You need to install a modification to stop people using avatars that are too big.

Unfortunatly ive just seen your website which you advertised here. You have made some crucial errors in setting uo your site. You have it hosted for free, so you have no control over the base of your site. You have it hosted on InvisionFree which is very unreliable. You have adverts on your site which has only just started (4 members) You do not have your own memorable domain name. You have used a generic template You have made an "off topic" forum I can say quite clearly that your forum is going to fail.

On a decent host with good reliability. People will give up on your site if it is down a lot. Not hosted for free, this gives a really sense that you dont care about your community. And if you dont care then neither will the users. None or minimal unintrusive advertising. When you first start your forum have no adverts. Let your forum get a little active before you even think about trying to make any money off it. No popups/unders/spyware. This is a given really but so often i see poorly made sites just spammed full of adverts. Really doesnt give a good message Customised design, or at least a modified design. Make it relevant to your content. I see loads of Runescape forums with random "futuristic" templates downloaded off the net and they just dont look right. As well as being used by hundreds of other forums it doesnt fit the theme either. Thats the technical aspects. The others are the same as Rick said but i will expand a few more points... Should not be a forum for the sake of being a forum, It has to have purpose. Whats the aim? Should not be a general "off topic" forum. They alreadyt exist en masse and are much better executed and active than yours ever will. Administrators and moderators with experience not just made because they are your friends. Making people mods and admins who dont have the skills can result in some pretty nasty outcomes.

Thats rubbish. Most sites use paid hosting and make their sites properly rather than setting up with a crappy free host. Thats why almost all sites hosted on a free host fail, because if the site owend doesnt really care about their site then why should the visitors to it?

It woudlnt really matter where they were sat to be honest. If they blew a big enough hole in the side of the plane then the decompression would be too great and it would tear apart mid air anyway.
