You are trusting the integrity of your machine to an unknown third party. Fact 3: I have NEVER had problems with SUN Java EVER on ANY computer I have ever used it on. If you configure it properly you will have NO problems.

Then it could be a driver corruption. Reinstall the printer drivers like Chris said! If you arnt going to bother trying any of the things we suggest to you then i'm not going to try helping anymore...

Theres loads of viruses that spread via messenger programs, you just have to be acareful what attachments and links you click on. If it looks suspicious wait until your friend verifies that (s)he meant to sent it.

True, except it also means he wont be able to check on those sites for "research" purposes on firefox ;)

I'm not aware of any decent free programs that can do this but i did find this on snap files http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pfilter.html i dont know if it will be up to the job but its worth a try i guess. sounds like it might sometimes block legit sites but theres an option to add sites to the white list, as well as other site u want to block on a blacklist.

Sometimes the simplist option is the right one ;)

Scan with both those programs and remove any spyware and/or keyloggers if they show up. Please also post a Hijckthis log in your thread. --- lol, well basicly Riz i dont think its a spyware issue but lets just be safe and try it anyway. I cant say ive really heard of anything like your problem before. Ill have a think about it and have a word with you later on irc or summit (if you can get on there) If worse comes to worse you can always do a repair install with the windows cd, you wont lose any files but you will have to download about 2 years worth of patches from windows update lol.
