Gyromancer is a puzzle/RPG that you play with monsters that you capture and level up, The combat is based on Bejeweled Twist: You spin gems around on a board to charge up special abilities, which then get placed on the board and activated by clearing them. The RPG mechanics and art style are mainly Japanese, which was to be expected for a game developed by Square Enix. Over all it really reminds me of Puzzle Quest (another fantasy RPG that you played by moving gems around), although in this game your opponent doesn't get to move gems around. In stead their abilities also charge up while you make moves, and you can block their special abilities by removing their gems before the counter on them reaches zero. Over all it's a lot less luck based than Puzzle Quest.

Did a few solo runs through the deadmines today, just to learn pulling, aggro management, etc..

I have a tank and a healer that often invite me into their groups. In the past four days we've done the complete Scarlat Monastery, Razorfen Downs, Uldaman, Zul'Farrak and Maraudon. By doing these and a bunch of quests, I've been able to get like eight levels in the past week.

I could also ask why gamers use escort missions as an excuse not to challenge themselves. The mission you described is actually pretty well designed. The enemy you're supposed to 'escort' follows you in stead of some preset path. It's also just as mobile as you are. You can use your whipfist to keep its attention without ever really risking it beating on you. I actually thought that the idea of escorting something that's trying to kill you was a nice twist.

Just had a great day: - Got a random invite for Scarlet Monastery. We ran all four wings, only one wipe that we recovered from with no problem. Got level 38 halfway through the run, and some nice new gloves. - Got a bunch of Small Lustrous Pearl from the guild vault. This allowed me to make three pairs of Barbaric Bracers, which are currently in the AH (40g/55g buyout). - Bought three patterns for the same bracers, which were priced at only a fraction of the market price (4g, 6g and 9g, respectively). Gave one to a guild mate and put the other two in the AH for 60g/90g buyout. If all that sells, I'll have 220-345g for level 40, which should be enough to cover riding, master skinning and mail equipment.

I already have a new team. I'll be online for the next four hours waiting for battle, then off ~3, then on for the rest of the night.

I killed the Sewer Beast (level 50 elite crocolisk that spawns in the Stormwind canals) just now, at level 35. I basically just shot it once, then legged it for the nearest level 65 guard. Still, I got the XP and the loot, so I reckon it counts as my kill.

I'm level 33 right now, finally wrapped up all Gnomeregan related quests. I might have to pick up The Burning Crusade soon, just to be able to get master skinning.
