  1. Well, I decided I was bored with my signature so I decided to make a new one. I haven't done isometric pixel stuff in years, so it took me a while to get going. I now have a basic concept done, based on the waterfall illusion by MC Escher. What I have so far: From left to right, it's the basic 'path' of the surface, the linework, the coloured linework, and the 'clean' coloured version. While I personally prefer the 'clean' version, it kind of ruins the illusion on three of the pillars. Should I just keep the black lines in, or is there a way to use the 'clean' version without ruining the illusion?
  2. Anyone up for a battle through Shoddy? Also, there's apparently a move tutor that will take in-game money to teach your Pokémon several moves. The most significant of these are various priority moves (Ice Shard, Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, Shadow Sneak, etc.) and Encore. Looks like we'll finally be able to legally use Aqua Jet and Belly Drum on Azumarill :ohnoes:
  3. Meh, I'm a bit of a hardliner when it comes to separation of church and state, but I understand the need for a president to reach out to various religious communities. I guess a lot of this has to do with his upbringing. His mother was an anthropologist, and she taught him about the customs and beliefs of a lot of different religious systems.
  4. Looks like the gold/silver remakes will have a lot of legendaries:[hide=]- Lugia and [garden tool]-oh for both games, one at 70, the other at 45, depending on the game. They're both obtained the same way they were in gold/silver. - Suicune at level 50 and Entei and Raikou at level 40. Suicune is stationary, the other two run around in Johto. - Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres, at the same locations as Fire Red/Leaf Green. - Mewtwo at level 70, in the Cerulean cave. - Kyogre or Groudon at level 50, depending on which game you chose, in a new cave. - Rayquaza at level 50 in the same cave, but you need to have a Kyogre and a Groudon captured in gold/silver. - Dialga, Palkia and Giratina, level 1 (you read that right), if you have the Arceus from a movie event. You have to pick one. - Latios and Latias at level 50, running around Kanto. I guess the only significant missing ones are Celebi and Jirachi.[/hide]It's a whole load of legendaries, but I guess Nintendo is trying to make the GBA games less important due to the fact that the DSi has no GBA slot, and thus no Palpark option. Still, if this game's random number generator gets cracked as quickly as the diamond/pearl/platinum one, we'll be seeing some epic legendaries.
  5. - Dark hair. No idea why really, but I've only had one blond partner and one redhead. The rest all had (very close to) black hair, except for one girl that dyed hers. Black. - Glasses. I don't think it's the whole 'glasses make you look smarter' idea, more that glasses highlight the eyes. Nothing like a nice pair of eyes behind glasses. - Large girls. Not fat, large. One of the most attractive girls I know is about 6'2" and built like a brick wall. There's really nothing quite like a girl who can take a bar stool to the back and keep swinging. - A girl I can eat and drink with. I'm pretty much an all-out hedonist, and I'd like my girlfriend to be able to share in these 'passions'. - A good head on her shoulders, obviously.
  6. I think the most glaring omission from your list is Commando, the most successful softcore gay porn movie to ever hit the theatres :P
  7. I actually won a two-headed giant extended tournament last weekend, with the following list:[hide=]2 Forest 2 Island 3 Mountain 2 Plains 3 Swamp 4 Ardent Plea 4 Darksteel Ingot 4 Demonic Dread 4 Fieldmist Borderpost 4 Firewild Borderpost 4 March of the Machines 4 Mistvein Borderpost 4 Phyrexian Totem 4 Restore Balance 4 Veinfire Borderpost 4 Violent Outburst 4 Wildfield Borderpost[/hide]It's very simple: drop borderposts by returning land until you can drop any of the 12 cascade spells, with a 100% chance to cascade into Restore Balance to wipe the board. While it can be played on turn 3, it's usually better to wait until turn 4 so that it'll act as both a Wrath of God and an Armageddon. Afterwards, March of the Machines or Phyrexian Totem would wrap things up. My opponent played a cheap blue/white control deck whose sole purpose was to make sure that Restore Balance came through. Our decks combined cost less than the landbase in one deck of most opposing teams :
  8. Already did, they expect it to run well over 200.
  9. There is no bootup, nothing to indicate any kind of movement out of the BIOS. Pressing the power button causes the fan to rev up and the power and bluetooth lights to come on before the whole thing shuts down again. There are no strange noises and the fan goes down normally, no sudden stop.
  10. Yup, it finally escaped the Varrock sewers:
  11. My laptop pretty much died this morning. I tried to turn it on, but the screen didn't activate. The fan ran for a few seconds and the power and bluetooth lights lit up, but it shut down again almost immediately afterwards. It's outside of the warranty, but is it worth taking into repair? Is there anything I can do myself?
  12. DP is probably the greatest generation when it comes to competitive play. The new physical/special split has made far more Pokémon viable for competitive play, and most Pokémon now have far more viable movesets.
  13. Obviously there's a few copied and similar ones, as it's pretty much a tribute article. There's nothing in the original one about gnome juggling though.
  14. Does anyone here use Shoddy? It's a Java-based battle simulator.
  15. Where to start... 1) To the thread starter: You're right that in that perfect spelling and grammar aren't enforced by rules. However, you will find that people tend to take your ideas a lot more serious if you can show that you've put some effort into this, by, say... spelling things out correctly and adding some grammar to boot. 2) When you're replying to threads like these, you're only contributing to the problem, not the solution. Threads that start out poorly can sometimes be salvaged, but not by a page and a half of people telling each other not to respond to the troll. Report, report, report, but never reply. Posts like this: are the reason certain moderators cry themselves to sleep at night. Not me though, I'm a manly mod. 3) Everybody who posted in this thread can consider this lock message to be an informal slap on the wrist. This doesn't mean however, that there won't be consequences for repeat behaviour, whether it's starting suggestion threads with little effort put into them or by continuously bumping them up by telling other people not to reply to them. -Necromagus, Tip.It Mod.
  16. I downloaded Psychonouts from Live, only to find out that it doesn't support the VGA cable. 1200 MS points down the drain :( The remake of the first Monkey Island game is very nice though.
  17. I had a... minor problem with this a while ago. When I play the songs on my hard drive, I usually know if something is coming that shouldn't be there. However, I was listening to a Last.FM radio station and when I noticed the song title it was already in my signature. I simply disabled my sig for a while.
  18. Me and my younger brother at a wedding: Performing magic tricks to keep a niece happy: I'll just archive them myself :-w
  19. - You can use noted ore for the part where you need to supply the dwarves. - Needle and thread, knife, bronze nail and hammer can be bought in Neitiznot - If you teleport off Neitiznot, the dialogue option for Maria to take you back to Neitiznot is gone. In stead she keeps telling you to talk to her husband. However, you can simply right-click on her for the option to travel back to the island. - If you're carrying enough rope to repair the bridges during your first conversation with the burgher after taking off the jester costume, you'll get some extra dialogue on how much of a coincidence it is that you're carrying all that extra rope with you, in which the burgher accuses you of being a seer or a witch.
  20. For a truly surreal game experience, turn off the sound and put something like on as your background music.
  21. Unfortunately that power hasn't been unlocked at this point of the game. I finished it seemingly through random luck, ending up with over 50 helicopter kills in my stat screen.
  22. Just got to a very annoying part. It's the end of the mission where you have to lure that guy close to a hive. As usual, I have to get rid of the military to end the mission, but somehow they're sending in endless choppers. Every time I kill one another one immediately appears, meaning I always have three on my tail. This escape is pretty much impossible.
